Uploading files to cloud storage?

Hi, Do my files automatically update when I upload them to cloud?  When working on a project I like to back up the files for safety reasons at the end of each day. But am I likely to have many versions of the same work filling up the folder?
Maybe Adobe has a software program that will just update the days work to whatever is in the folder.  Am I making myself clear?
Regards

Hi Ganges-boy,
From the application manager download the Creative Cloud Connection and try to save your files within the creative cloud connection. Saving the files within the Creative Cloud connection would replicate the same file on the Creative Cloud Website automatically .

  • Is it possible to create a limited upload account to cloud storage?

With NAB around the corner I'm editing some news video from the event. What I was wondering is, is it possible to give my videographer a upload only account to my cloud storage for all the footage from NAB that doesn't mean him having access to my full Adobe cloud login ?

This is not possible. Currently you can only share links for each file. Folder sharing is coming soon.

  • Uploading videos to cloud storage

Apparently my plan has 20gb of cloud storage included.
How do I upload video files and then share this link with clients? Is this possible or do I need to continue to pay for Google Drive storage as well?
    thanks

There are two ways to upload files:
Sign in with your Adobe ID to the Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files and click on the blue Actions button. Choose Upload. Alternatively you can use drag and drop from Windows Explorer or Mac OS Finder to the page to upload.
Use file syncing and place the files into the Creative Cloud Files folder on your computer. To use file syncing get access from the Early Access page here https://creative.adobe.com/earlyaccess.
More details on file upload and syncing here http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/sync-files.html.
There is a 1 GB size limit when uploading using the browser and a 5 GB limit when uploading using file sync. File size limit covered in the FAQ here http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-connection-faq.html#id_74925.

  • Can I upload to Amazon Cloud Storage using the Play Memories Direct Upload app?

A note in the app manual says you can add network services directly from the Play Memories Apps page, but I don't see anything indicating how.

  • Cloud storage retention policy

I'm confused about what happens to my files in cloud storage if I cancel my subscription.
If I have less than 2 gigs, FAQ says I can access using free membership.
If I have more that 2 gigs, FAQ says it won't synch. What does this mean?
How long do I have to resubscribe and get to my files before they are purged?

    Hi Jeffrey,
    Welcome to the Adobe community!
    1) If you have more then 2 Gigs of files stored then you will have to delete the files and come down to below 2 Gigs in order to use the Sync feature ( in case you cancel the membership).
    2) If you have more then 2 Gigs of files stored in that case you have 90 days to come down to 2 Gigs or else you will loose the files from the cloud storage.
    Thanks!

  • Can my clients upload files to my Creative Cloud?

Can my clients upload files, (image files for example) to my Creative Cloud?

    Hi paul
If you want someone to share a file with you so yes it is posible. people can register there email ID as Adobe ID on adobe.com and they can use upto 2GB of free spae for 1 month (Trial period) and upto 20Gb in case if they have purchased Creative Cloud membership and upto 100 in case they have Creative Cloud team account.
After sharing the file by someone you will get an email with the link to download the same on your computer.
If you want someone to upload files in your creative cloud storage then it is not posible because to upload the file on your creative cloud storage CC desktop app or creative.adobe.com website need a Adobe ID and password to login which is not there with the other user.

  • Cloud storage - how can I use my .png file shared in "public mode" like a hosted file ?

    Hi every body,
I am french and new on the forum so please be indulgent ! (for my english and my questions).
I am working on HTML signature for my company and I have a little problem.
to be viewed, my .png files needs to be on a server. So I remember that adobe gave me a 100giga storage for me to use.
    Cool !
But the problem is that the link only send me to a special view of my file... a jpeg one. So when I try to copy the url I can only use the .jpg
    I want my file !
So my question is : is it possible that the cloud storage isn't supposed to share any thing else than a miniature of my file and a download button ?
How can I use it for my signature if I can't acess it but only download it?
Thank you very much for your time
    Morgan

    Hi Morgan,
You are correct.  Public link sharing works as follows:
    -  you can share a public URL to your PNG file on Creative Cloud.  The recipient of the URL can view a preview of the file and download the file in the original PNG format or JPG format.
    -  it is not possible to give other users direct access to the original file in Creative Cloud.

  • Is Creative Cloud storage a good solution if multiple people have to work on a file?

I am trying to use Creative Cloud storage so that, for instance, a colleague can open an inDesign file from their own workstation, make some simple text edits, and re-save it.
If everyone involved has desktop syncing, is this a workable way to use Creative Cloud Storage? Does syncing work so that the Could Storage would update my local version? Or would I have to download the latest version each time, then work on it, then re-sync?
If this isn't a good way to go about things, does anyone have a better suggestion?
    Thank you.

    Hi Callofthegame,
One could share a file with others, but each user would have their own copy for their account (which they could in turn share back to others if they wanted). So it wouldn't be a single instance of the file being edited by multiple individuals. Adobe Drive might be closer to what you are looking for - http://www.adobe.com/products/adobedrive.html?promoid=JIKTG
    Hope that helps,

  • I understand that when using Numbers/Pages - an up-arrow on a document means that the file is still to be uploaded to the cloud, what does a down arrow mean? It seems the document can't be accessed until the arrow clears.

I understand that when using Numbers/Pages - an up-arrow on a document means that the file is still to be uploaded to the cloud, what does a down arrow mean? It seems the document can't be accessed until the arrow clears.

I believe what it's supposed to mean is that some changes were made to the document on another device, and those changes were saved back to the cloud.  Now you've opened iWork on a different device to access that document - it compares the document you've got locally with the one in the could, sees some recent changes and downloads them.
What gets me is why this sometimes happens even when I've not made any changes to a document from another device.

  • Where is the procedure for uploading my music files to Cloud?

Where is the procedure for uploading my music files to Cloud?  I have a portable hard drive that has all my burned songs on it, and I'm trying upload and match those songs for the first time.....

There is no "procedure." When you sign up for iTunes Match, iTunes does all the work for you. But you must have the external HDD connected for it to work.
Also, keep in mind that iTunes Match is not a streaming service. To play your music on your computer you'll still need to have the external HDD connected, unless you decide to delete all the music from your iTunes library.
