Uploading from PC and Deleting

I am a new user. When I upload from my PC the artist, album title and song titles are not uploading. I have to load them manually. What am I doing wrong?
Secondly, if there are tracks I do not like on an album can I delete them, and if so, how?

Im also new. have found you have to connect to internet to get details of names etc. do this from the i tunes programe, it says get cd track names. then any you dont want to download to i pod remove the check mark.

Restrict users from editing and deleting not owned items

Hello guys.
I'm trying to restrict users from editing and deleting items created by other users. I know, that it can be achieved by using SPList.WriteSecurity parameter, but if I change its value to 2 or 4 - nothing happens...
May be there are some list permissions that can override this security setting? I tried to combine permissions in different ways but users either cannot modify any items or can edit/delete all of them...
By the way, setting ReadSecurity=2 works as it should work regardless of user permissions...

I understand that you want to change the write security for the document library. You can try the PowerShell script below:
$web = Get-SPWeb http://serverURL
$list = $web.Lists["Document library"]
$list.ReadSecurity = 2
$list.WriteSecurity =2
$list.Update()
$web.Dispose()
This setting will not affect the site collection administrator, he will always be able to edit the documents. You need to sue another account to have a test. If this still doesn't work, I think you need to manually edit the permission for each documents.

They said that their Creative Cloud Connection app would be ready in May/June, and here we are in October!
I wish Adobe would learn to not release products that are not ready to be used, my 20GB are useless to me unbtil they do something that integrates Br, Lr, Id & Ps specifically with the cloud. I really think that we should start charging interest for the money that we have been loaning Adobe for their developement process.

As all you said I have used apache third party jars to upload a file into server.

But Now what the problem is When I run this locally it is running fine.
When I deploy it on server It is giving the following exception.

these files are in classpath.and successfully compiled but in runtime this is happening
can anyone have any idea on this..??

How can I import all photos from iPhoto and delete all the ones currently on my iPad?

I uploaded all of my iPad's photos to iPhoto('08) thinking it would be easier to delete and organize them. Now that I've done that in iPhoto I need help finding out how to delete all the photos from the iPad and have the iPhoto photos imported from iPhoto back to the iPad.

This workflow may do what you want:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new library.
2 - connect the iPad to your Mac with the new library open.
3 - import all of the photos from the iPad into the new library.
4 - select the option to delete all of the photos from the iPad.
5 - disconnect the iPad and delete the new library.
6 - launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and select your original library.
7 - assemble the photos destined for the iPad so you can easily identify them by album or event which you alread have done.
8 - launch iTunes and connect the iPad to your Mac.
9 - go to the photos section for you iPad and synce those particular albums or Events with the iPad.
That will get those specific iPad photos back into the iPad.

i have to delete a file from a directory structure .i dno't know where is file stored in my folder hierarchy .i have to search that file and delete that file .
for example ;
i have a folder name A , which have folder B ,C ,D ,E . B folder have other 2 folder or 3 file (anything) , same C and D And E can have file or folder .
means we dnot know that A folder have how many files or folder in it . in that we have to search a specific file and delete it .

Look at the HttpUnit extension for Junit (www.junit.org) for a great package for accessing and "parsing" http data.
Or you could simple open a connection (via the URL class) and then do an indexOf or use a regular expression package (jakarta-oro is good one).

You can't remove specific files from a backup. You can delete the entire backup. Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, there you can specify what data to back up going forward. You can do that after deleting the backup (tap the Delete Backup button on same page) and then begin a new backup.

caught in
procedure "OPEN_INPUT_FILE" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
Characters are always displayed in only a certain codepage. Many
codepages only define a limited set of characters. If a text from a
codepage should be converted into another codepage, and if this text
contains characters that are not defined in one of the two codepages, a
conversion error occurs.
Moreover, a conversion error can occur if one of the needed codepages
'4110' or '4102' is not known to the system.
Example: µ is creating problems.
I have a problem in uploading the file with below format

1. I am using a custom program to read the file and then updating internal table
2. Unicode code system

Similar problem is faced by me in my current project. The solutions I have suggested are as below. I have not received any confirmation as to which solution to be applied.
To avoid the dump:
1. Read the file as a NON UNICODE file.
     -- For this we use open dataset statement as OPEN DATASET <name> IN TEXT MODE FOR INPUT ENCODING NON-UNICODE. The file is read as a non-Unicode file. This avoids the dump but it uploads also the non Unicode data in the system. We need to analyse if this will cause any other effect on the system.
2. Upload file after removing the special characters
     -- We need to upload the file again in the application server after removing the special characters in it.
3. Bypass the dump by displaying error message
     -- By using OPEN DATASET........IGNORING CONVERSION ERROR, we can suppress the dump. Here the file is not         read but only the dump is suppressed.

Here is what i am trying to do. I am trying to upload an image via HTML5 . I am confused on how i should send the image as. Should i send it directly the response from HTML5 File reader API or i should convert it to a blob and send it? I am able to upload
text data. But when i upload image data. They won't turn up .

Is it possible to prevent the OS from dropping and deleting a network share shortcut?

One thing that has always bugged me about Mac OS is that when a network share becomes unresponsive or unavailable the shortcut on the desktop disappears and you get a glaring messaging that the share has been disconnected.
Is there any way to prevent a network share from being removed just because it becomes momentarily unavailable?
As an example, on a Windows machine the network share shortcut remains, you simply cannot use it but it is there and ready to go the moment the share comes back online. Is there some way to make OS X behave in this manner? Or is there a way to extend the time out interval for a network share?

Hmmmm, http://www.seattlepi.com/ loads fine hear in 10.4.11, FF 3.6.8, but I do see it uses some kind of Flash.
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Delete song from playlist and library: only by Shift+Delete ? No right-click menu ?

Am I missing this function somewhere in the drop-down menu, when you right-click on a song from a playlist ?
I see only the "Delete" action, which only removes the song from the playlist, not from the library.
Same as pressing the Delete key on the keyboard.
Shouldn't there be both actions: "Delete From Playlist", and "Delete From Library" (the second one implies it is
also deleted from this playlist and from any other playlist).
And why is Shift-Delete not documented in the Help / Keyboard shortcuts ?

If you are deleting from a playlist and you want to delete for the library as well, you have to press shift and delete.
