Uploading html page in portal

Hi all,
i am new to this portal implementation..can anybody suggest me how to display a html page in server to portal. KM is not in the picture and i dont want to use even url iview....

Hi Prasanthi,
You can dispaly your HTML page through KM in portal,
Go to this path,
Content Adminstration --> KM content --> Select where u want your HTML file to be displayed(Eg:root->documents) --> in Menu bar you can find <b>FOLDER</b> --> New --> HTML File
And there you can create HTML file.
then you ve to create an iView to display your HTML file for that you have to specify the path of the KM ,<b>Path to document</b> property, give the path like /documents/your folder name.

  • How to Create HTML page from portal

    Hi
I have a requirement to create html pages from portal.
There will be an author who can choose document type as HTML
and then he will write html codes on saving it should be saved as HTML doc in UCM.
and publisher should be able to display it on portal(may be using content presenter).
please help me in this. I know there is rich text editor task flow which can save a doc as doc file.
and in spaces we have option of creating HTLM file but i don't know how to do it for my portal.
    Thanks

A better way would be to create the page using approach in this blog:
    https://blogs.oracle.com/ATEAM_WEBCENTER/entry/content_presenter_cmis_complete
That way the page can be edited inline and the html author need not upload html to ucm everytime.

  • Porting existing HTML Pages to Portal

WE have an existing site which has static HTML pages with images etc.
Would like to port it to 9ias Portal.
Can someone tell me a simple way to do it.
Specifically how do we take care of paths of images in the html pages.
    Quick answer would be appreciated.

    Dhiren,
Have you looked at the Zip item type?
You should be able to zip up your existing directory and then load the zip file into Oracle9iAS Portal. You will then have the ability to extract the zip which will add all the files in the zip as items.

  • Convert static html page to portal help needed

I have a page here. that I need to put in portal.
    I am having trouble!
use banner for the top image.
use a region for the top menu links. This is "About, Registration, Security,etc...)
Because menu bars and folders do not do horizontal alignment of items, all the links (about, registration) have to be one item. Would this be text in a folder? If a folder, can I remove the nav bar?
One of my problems is that a lot of the content uses images. What is best practice for referring to images in content?
If one has a lot of html content (10 lines) , why is the best element to use for this?
Should I just use UI templates for everything?

    Hi,
Depends. If you are going to reuse the layout, use a UI template. e.g static navigation , company branding etc.
If you need to add Javascript/DHTML effects etc, a UI template is good, since you can call them from your portlets.
As far as images go, don't place them in the database ! Place them on the middle tier and cache the folder
    with an Expires directive.
    hth
If it is for one time use, use an HTML Portlet.

  • Is there a way to upload html pages into the DAM?

I'm trying to test out email templates that are outside the current email templates we have already built in CQ5.
We're trying to de-commission an old server that we used to upload this out of the box email templates to and trying to utilize CQ5 dam.
We're currently using Campaign Manager to send our email blasts.
    Thank you!

You can reverse the process of how you exported the information using SQL to import the new information.
I think you will need to restart the planning service for it to take effect, best to test it on a dev environment until you are comfortable with the SQL
Or you can use LCM, use LCM to export supporting details, then look at the xml document for the format.
You can then create your own XML document and use LCM to import it in.
I would probably try the LCM route first.

  • How to upload a HTML page with Flash image viewer?

I´ve got a html page with a flash image viewer file inn it. Preview in a browser is ok, but I don´t get it right on the server. Is it something spesial with the swf file?
This is what i have done: I just upload html -page, viewer swf file and the pictures to the same folder. Is this wrong?
Sorry, I really don´t have a clue... Thanks!

  • How to call KM content in independent HTML page?

    Hi,
My requirement is to call KM contents in simple HTML page,
Actually I want to show documents from specific location of KM into HTML page which is nowhere related to EP pages, it will be totally independent page.
Can anyone come across the same requirements?
    Thanks,
    Vikas

    Hi,
i think you can call KM content with in an independent HTML page by using the tags in HTML ,href="target path of your KM content" and target="_blank" OR "_new","_top" any of these you can use based on your requirement. But i think  you shud have to upload your html document under km content with in ur portal environment. As you  said your are not attaching that html page to portal  you can call your KM content by specifyng url of your km content, otherwise you can make use of quick link property of page. If you want further help you could ask me .. i hope it'll be useful for you.

  • How to upload an html page?

Hi, I have an urgent problem and no one here in office seems to be able to help me.
We have an html page uploaded in our portal and now I need to upload a new version of it. I have no idea on how to use oracle portal interface to do the job.
If it helps, the page now is here: http://www.companywebsite.net/pls/portal30/docs/FOLDER/FOLDER1/FOLDER2/FOLDER3/FOLDER4/htmlpagename.HTM
    Thanks for any suggestion

If the HTML page was uploaded as a "file" item type, then in order to edit the file, you must edit the file using whatever client side tool you want. Save the file locally.
Then in Portal, when editing the page the HTML file has been uploaded to, click the edit pencil for the HTML file and re-upload the new version of the HTML file.
Things uploaded to Portal as file types, you cannot directly edit the file within portal - only upload new file versions.
Not sure if this was your issue or not ... but thought maybe it was.
    thanks,
    /candace

  • Powershell, design manager, uploading html file not creating associated master page file

I am uploading a xyz.html file through powershell for 2 site collections, when .html file is uploaded and published it automatically creates xyz.master file. It is working fine for not publishing sites collection only, for publishing site collection .html file
is uploaded successfully but it is not creating associated .master file. If I close powershell console and run again it works successfully.
another interesting thing I noticed that if I specify "spadmin" account which I used to install sharepoint as  site collection primary administrator, all works well, currently I am using "spsiteCollection" account for primary site collection
administrator and I am having above mentioned issue.
powershell script is also running with spadmin account.
I have ensured .html is checked in and publish properly, If I manually unpublish and publish .html file it creates .mater file. What could be the issue?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about upload html file to master page gallery.
I have used the PowerShell contains in the codeplex to upload the files to master page gallery, it works without any issue.
    https://uploadmasterpages.codeplex.com/
You can check your PowerShell with this article, or use this bat file to upload directly to check whether it works.
    Thanks,

    Hi Polaka,
Could you please try the below two?
Option1: please check, whether you are acutally logged off or not? Even if you are shown the logon page it could be possible that the URL redirected is not shown in the browser. To do this just replace '/irj/portal' with'/index.html' then som UME or NWA link. If you are in without proving uid/pswd then you are not logged off at all, else you are logged off but just not redirected to the URL you have mentioned. If in the second case(logged off but not redirected, kindly check the below property in visual admin- set it to false.
(Did you happen to set the '"ume.logoff.redirect.silent=false" in the visual admin)?.
Then restart server and clear your browser cache too.
Option2: Repeat the above steps trhough config tool and restart server.
(this must work). But if possible try the option1 and hopefully it should work.

  • Federated Portal Content and HTML Page Navigation

I have an HTML Landing page for several worksets that is hosted off of a static content server to reduce lag time from things like KM iViews.
However, these landing pages have links to various iViews in the portal using the return EPCM.doNavigate('ROLES//:pcdlocation')".
Currently, I need to figure out how to have this HTML page load an iView from a content portal while linked from a Producer Portal. Any thoughts?

Hi Steve, thank you for responding.
    I tried using xfa.host.setFocus("xfa.form.form1.ConsentForm"); I tried using setFocus("ConsentForm") and setFocus("form1.ConsentForm").
Am I not using the correct syntax?

  • How to use html pages as links on portal

    Hi,
I have uploaded some html files in KM.
Now i want to create an iview and add these uploaded html files as hyperlinks in that iview.
Can i know the solution for these?
    Awaiting for your respose.
    Regards,
    Raju

    Hi buddy,
from your initial question, i guess you need to display a page which has multiple links to various pages which you have uploaded in KM.
So what you can do is, create another html file which link in it.
    <a href = "some_html_file.html">Page1</a>
    <a href = "some_html_file.html">Page2</a>
    <a href = "some_html_file.html">Page3</a>
    <a href = "some_html_file.html">Page4</a>
Some_html_file.html should point to the corrrect file(s) in the KM directory. Now save the new file which you have created (the one with links) in the KM directory and create a KM Document iView for this page and assign it to a role, and assign the role to the user and test.
    Thanks,
    GLM

  • Problems Uploading a Pages file in html format including pictures to web pa

I have problems uploading a Pages file in html format to a web page.
The files itself is downloaded but the images are not. How can I upload a page file in html including the pictures or illustrations?

I just bought a macbook as well as the iwork software. I am having a few problems. I am a student and when I try to print out documents (originally word documents) it puts them automatically into textedit instead of pages. Also, the pages get all screwed up, things are missing, etc. How do I make pages my default and do i need to export? import? or do something so that these documents show up perfectly in pages?
A second questions- When i try to print out slideshows in keynote (originally from powerpoint) the handouts print on the little edge of the paper horizontally rather than the long way. I am hoping these are easy adjustments.
I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.
    Thank you!

  • Can ultra search portlet search html pages stored outside of portal

I have some html pages stored on my hard drive. I would like to search these from my portal page using the ultrasearch portlet.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks.

In answer to your question Ultra Search can search content from a number of sources, including websites files on the file system and of course, Portal.
The built in Portal Searching functionality can search files on a filesystem but only by creating URL items where the URL is a file:// URL that points to the file on a filesystem that is local to the Portal repository database.
