Uploading long text thru bdc

Hi Gurus,
I am facing some problem during the recording of hader text.. Details given below...
I need to do this by using BDC...
 VA01 Steps as follows:
1. Open VA01
o Enter G2 or L2 order Type
o Enter 9991 for Sales Org
o Enter 01 for Dist Channel
o Enter 99 for Division
2. Enter Customer SAP # from spreadsheet to ship to and sold to
(Enter some appropriate number)
3. Enter Material Code from spreadsheet to Material
(Enter some appropriate number)
4. Enter target quantity as 1
5. Enter Billing date as system date
6. Go to Sales Tab
7. Select Blank for billing block
8. Enter order reason 013 for G2 type or 012 for L2
9. Goto Header, Texts, Choose Invoice header text
10. Enter SVB# from file as well as Quarter Text from file in notes
11. Save
this is want i need to do in order to create invoice serivce request by using BDC.
I can able to get the fields till 8 th point ( i can able to write the program ), but from the 9 th point i m facing the problem..
Bcz it just i need to enter some text here..( may be it's bcz of click )
This is could not able to do it , can you please help me how can i do this ?
Please let me know if i m not clear with my explanation...

I've modified the previous message with a correction that, I had used this for uploading Activity lines Longtexts.
One more thing: After I faced some problem, I used split text in the code. i.e., Splitting the longtext into several lines (72 char each). Show these code lines to your ABAPer, may be he might be able to draw some clues.
In the BDC lines alongwith other fields the gold line below
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' ' 'BDC_OKCODE' '=MX07'.
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' '   'BDC_CURSOR' 'QMICON-LTAKTION(07)'.
PERFORM FILL_BDC_DATA       USING ' ' ' ' ' '   'VIQMMA-MATXT(07)' FS_FIELD-MNTXT7.
PERFORM SPLIT_LONGTEXT USING COL_COUNT.
Code for Form SPLIT_LONGTEXT is attached herewith (MATXT1 to MATXT7 are longtext split into 7lines )

I have the same problem where the long text is not being updated through a AC02 BDC session. Did you find a solution to the problem yet?

correct me if im wrong, the long text is a multiline text, its an object for text, this cant be filled with BDC since this object can not be created in background mode, so i think the bdc skip the routines to fill this object, you can use the save_text function right after the transaction ends

thanks for ur reply..while creating quotation i have to create text...
but i think i need to pass parameters like
NAME
OBJECT
ID etc..
name will be concatenation of quotation number and item number, before creating i will be not having those info..
can u explain me in detail...

Entering long text in BDC on QM01

Can anybody tell me, how to enter the long text in bdc.
i am doing bdc on QM01 transaction in which i need to upload the long text.
can any body tell me how to do that.

First do recording from SHDB transaction... After u enter the transaction click on new recording,give a name and the tcode..then the tcode will open..
Give one value in the fields and also in the long text and then save it..
Now, come back to the recording....select the recording and then click on Program tab...to generate a program, in that select option transfer from recording..
Now, upload the flat file into SAP, using GUI_UPLOAD or ALSM_EXCEL_TO_INTERNAL_TABLE.
Then pass the internal table using LOOP-ENDLOOP to the subroutines..

Uploading long text as one long text for the same records.

i am uploading long text into one custom application.in that i had one issue,
I am uploading long text with the combination of material,palnt,division,sales organization and distribution channel.
Now my reqiurement is when ever two or more than two records are same for the material,palnt,division.The respected text shulod be created as a single text.

I think there is an ICON to enter the long text.
U can start filling the LONG text here using
RSTXT-TXLINE(03) - this takes around 70 chars the next
chars in RSTXT-TXLINE(04) and so on. U can get this
in SHDB recording.

Need to pass the correct parameters like OBJECT,ID, OBJECTNAME and LANGuage with the proper declarations.

How to upload long text in CA02 Transaction

I am getting a file with the following format.
Input File Record Layout:
Group#                  like PLKO-PLNNR,
Group Counter             like PLKO-PLNAL,
Operation#          like PLPO-VORNR,
Work Center#          like PLPOD-ARBPL,
Control Key          like PLPO-STEUS,
Short-text          like PLPO-LTXA1,
Long-text          type c(1000).
i have to upload the long text in the CA02 transaction. Could you please let me know the procedure that i should follow in uploading this in doing a call transaction in BDC.

Take a look at FM SAVE_TEXT
To get the parameters of the FM :
Goto the long text in CA02 and then via the menu :
Goto --> Header .
A popup is displayed containing the input parameters :
Text Name
Language
Text ID
Text object.

Problem in loading the long text in bdc.

              I am uploading the material master using bdc, Here i need to upload the long text field. so am using the separate report for upload the long text field using the create_text function module. but the problem is the long text field only accepting 132 charactors. but i need to upload the 500 charactors. what i want to do now ?

What u do is that while recording the text part in bdc , click on the first delete button, and then create button and after that double click on the editor or click on the text-editor change button, a window will get opened , then click go-to menu -> change editor.
there u can use loop the text table and wirte it according .
