Uploading mass data and z-fields through CRMXIF_IBASE_SAVE

Hi,
We are using the function module CRMXIF_IBASE_SAVE to migrate legacy data.
We have enhanced the installed base and component object using EEWB.
Can some1 pls advice how can we populate these z-fields (created using EEWB) from the flat files through the FM CRMXIF_IBASE_SAVE; since we are not able to locate a particular structure for this purpose.
In case there is no structure available; what is the best way to upload these in order to maintain the performance (the time taken to upload). The number of records being uploaded is significantly large (in high lacs).

MS Word Web Service Interface: bad format of date and currency fields

I am using MS Word Web Service interface to create contract documents. However, my date and currency fields show in a strange format. Date is in"YYYY-MM-DD" format, while currencies always have "." as decimal separator (probably technical values). My user settings are "DD.MM.YYYY" for dates and "n.nnn,dd" for decimal numbers.
My workaround is to create a Z structure for WS interface with char fields and then do conversion through CRM_WST_RT_BADI->OUTBOUND_PROCESSING method. This works, but requires a lot of custom development.
Is there a way to "tell" the interface to use correct formats in MS Word without doing it all manually through custom fields?

Is there any documentation on possible formatting keywords? I suppose it's possible to set up decimal places, custom date formats etc.

I dont suppose we have any option to achieve this at Query Designer level. Your requirement can be achieved in Workbook,
Insert text template in one of the cell in your workbook, context menu--properties-Constant Tab----Check Display last Refreshed. Doing this you will get Date and Time of last refreshed data.

    I have some question about how to compare table data and table field.
   1. I know there is one method:   CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS , it use in unit test to compare the table data(A and B) , you can loop table A into structure A1, then use this mehtod it can compare whether table B contain structure A1. but when I try to use this in main program it will dump.
          CL_ABAP_UNIT_ASSERT=>ASSERT_TABLE_CONTAINS(
                                                                                                    LINE    = A1
                                                                                                    TABLE = B ).
       Is there any method or FM can be used to compare the table data ?
    2. I also want to compare two table field , try to find out the different. How to realize this.

What`s the difference, if you using loop A into wa_A, read table B into wa_B with all field, then compare with wa_A and wa_B.
The question 2, seems no standard FM available here.
Loop A into wa_A.
   Loop B into wa_B.
       if wa_A-field1 eq wa_B-field1.

Upload address data and ship to party

I want to upload address data and ship to party for the customer. How could I do these two task together.
I have found BAPI to upload address data BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD but I wish to upload both address data and ship to party data together. Is there any function module available or what can be the way to do this.

Does the ship-to-party already exist in the system?
Anyways, there is no function module which performs all tasks at once. So you'd have to make on, which is not really complicated (simplyfied code):
FUNCTION add_address_and_ship_to.
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_BUPA_ADDRESS_ADD'.
if required...
CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA'.
and finally assign ship-to party

CRM Mass Update of RelationShip Data and other Fields

Hello,
I have to perform a mass Update on some Fields:
VIP -> BUT051 -> Relationship
FLG_NOUSE -> ADSMTP -> Address Data
FLG_NOUSE -> ADTEL -> Address Data
FLG_NOUSE -> ADFAX -> Address Data
I've found already TX "MASS" and "MASSD" but those fields are not available.
(Fortunately I could already use TX "Mass" for updates on Correspondence Language.)

Hi, You can prepare a list and use Menu -> Mass Update option to do the update. Limitation, per request it can update only 50 records. If there are more you have to do it recursively. Alternate solutions are to import, reset the value and export back or by writing a program using webservices. Hope it helps

Date and time field help

Hey guys and gals,
I'm working on a basic simple form that I'd like to use as a fax cover sheet and I'm brand new at this and I just can't find the answer anywhere. The only way I can get it to show the date and time is if I choose calculated - read only, then runtime property. But then it changes every time you open the document. It doesn't autofill the date and time any other way. Is there a way to make the date and time auto fill ONLY the first time you fill it out and then lock that field? Or do you just have to choose one of the other options, i.e., user entered - optional, recommended or required and then type it in? Which I don't really get either, because those just give you a blank field that you type in. I don't see the difference between those options and a text field. I thought maybe I could upload the pdf to show you, but I guess you can't do that here. Anyway using Acrobat 9 pro on Vista.

I have seen many examples to upload file using <html:file> tag. But my request is how to upload file using hidden form field and ActionServlet.
I want to upload image without using Browse button options, through hidden field i will set the image file path and will upload to server using ActionForm.

That's not possible.
If it was, it would be a huge security hole. What about mailicious websites with hidden field which points to "c:/my documents/passwords.txt" and automatically submits the form using Javascript?
Consider a signed applet instead. If it is unsigned then you'll get a security popup "Do you trust this software?" anyway.

Date and time fields are not getting updated in database

I am Using the bapi SD_SHIPMENT_HEADER_CHANGE in my program ...
I am using bapi_shipemnt_create for creating shipment document but, trying to enter the date fileds using this bapi .
can anybody please tell me how shud i pass this variables exactly ...
i tried giving test data and checked this bapi .. the result in changing parameters is also appearing but in databade itself the date fields are not getting reflected ...

Upload interactive form and access field values in WD component

I want to upload a prefilled interactive adobe form in my webdynpro component and then I want to read the values filled in the form in my webdynpro component.
I don't want to display the interactive form in the WD component. Just need to read the values.

When you upload a file and save in SAP, are you saving it as xstring.
If yes follow these steps for filedownload.
Follow these steps for file download:
1 Create FileDownload uielement in your View
2.Create an Attribute of type xstring.
3.Bind this attribute to the data property of your Filedownload uielement.
4. during fileuplaod as you are saving the document in xstring format, fetch the same from your database table and pass the value to filedownload i.e set the attribute bound to data property of filedownload uielement with the xstring content.

Changing data in 'hidden' fields through BSP

Hi all,
We are using custom copy of hap_document BSP and in there i am trying to change values in the appraisal document using application->doc. I am able to change the values for the fields that are displayed in the layout in the application->doc-t_body_cell_notes, but not able to change the values for hidden fields(that have 'H' in application->doc-t_body_cells-cell_note_availability).
Is it impossible to change data for hidden fields?
Please let me know if anyone of you had ever done something like this earlier.

In the HAP_DOCUMENT there is a cell for employee comments. Now i am hiding the cell in the BSP and when user clicks on a dropdown i am changing the value in the cell say from ABC to XYZ programatically. The document is being updated with the XYZ value when the cell is either in change/display mode but not in hidden mode. in hidden mode, When i change the value to XYZ and save the cell gets empty and doesnt have the previous value ABC also.
I am changing the value in the cell using below code:
   READ TABLE application->doc-t_body_cell_notes INTO s_cell_notes
     WITH KEY column_iid = '0001' row_iid = '0002'.
   IF sy-subrc = 0.
     s_cell_notes-tdline = 'XYZ'.
   ENDIF.
   MODIFY application->doc-t_body_cell_notes
      INDEX sy-tabix FROM s_cell_notes
      TRANSPORTING tdline.
   ENDIF.
ENDIF.

JDCB Driver not doing data transformation on Julian dates and amount fields

Hi All,
In our newly installed BI Publisher instance (10.1.3) is not doing any data transformation on JDE Julian dates and Decimals. I've read that these field values are supposed to be converted automatically. Is there some setting in the JDEJDBC driver connection that makes this happen?
While working with Oracle support I've found the following:
1. Beware of white space in the collection string.
2. Make sure the JDE user logging in goes straight to JDE and has full view privlidges on the tables you are selecting on.
3. Parameters are not supported by the JDEJDBC Driver -- this pretty much renders this application worthless. Does anyone know of any workarounds?

JDEWorldJDBC.jar There is inbuild date conversion and decimal shift.

Trying to bind XML data and form fields

I have a fairly simple PDF - and I am trying to bind XML data to he form fields.
In the designer I can bring up the data connection and
select Global - for the binding method - and as I understand it - this will link Form Fields and XML data fields with the same name - (sounds logical to me)
but all that happens is :
I see the name of the field in the form field rahter than seeing the actual data
should I select : None as the binding or normal ....
but Normal doesnt show Anything - even after i select it .
I can't quite seem to make this work -
Any help here would be appreciated

and it seems as if all goes well until
View the data and nothing appears - or
just the names of the fields appear
