Uploading Media

I have been trying to upload media such as pictures, sounds, etc from the myverizon site to my new samsung reality.  I have followed the steps and instructions.  It worked the first couple of times but now everytime I click to upload, it makes my internet explorer quit working and just reloads the verizon site.  Is anyone else having this problem?  I have not used up my allowed media plan.  This is really frustrating!

interesting.... I did not know that you could transfer pics/sounds, etc from the myverizon website.
I usually transfer my files via the USB cord, and going to "USB Mass Storage" under Tools.  this method will NOT eat into your MB allowance.
see if that is easier for you.

    Because Apple have designed it that way.
    It's actually against the (Apple) rules of this forum to speculate about Apple's decisions, so if perhaps you should ask your question on a more appropriate (non-Apple) forum. If you continue the discussion here, you could simply find that your post gets removed by the moderators.

  • Upload media file and submit data in a same time

    Hi,
    I'm trying to submit data and upload file in a same time to a web page(which is jsp). But i found that the method used to upload file and submit data are different.
    Method used to submit data :-
    PostMethod post = new PostMethod(wbIndex);
    post.addRequestHeader("Content-Type","text/html; charset=big5");
    for(int i=0;i<field.length;i++){
         post.addParameter(field,value[i]);
    System.out.print("field[" + field[i] + "], value[" + value[i] + "] ");
    responseCode = client.executeMethod(post);
    System.out.println("response code : " + responseCode);
    and method used to upload file
    URL url = new URL(wbIndex);
    // create a boundary string
    String boundary = MultiPartFormOutputStream.createBoundary();
    URLConnection urlConn = MultiPartFormOutputStream.createConnection(url);
    urlConn.setRequestProperty("Accept", "*/*");
    urlConn.setRequestProperty("Content-Type",
         MultiPartFormOutputStream.getContentType(boundary));
    // set some other request headers...
    urlConn.setRequestProperty("Connection", "Keep-Alive");
    urlConn.setRequestProperty("Cache-Control", "no-cache");
    // no need to connect cuz getOutputStream() does it
    MultiPartFormOutputStream out =
         new MultiPartFormOutputStream(urlConn.getOutputStream(), boundary);
    // write a text field element
    out.writeField("myText", "text field text");
    // upload a file
    out.writeFile("myFile", "text/plain", new File("C:\\test.wav"));
    out.close();Does anyone know how to submit data and upload file to the page at a same time?
    null

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply. You meant that both method also can used to upload file and submit data? How about if i want to use the first method to upload file and submit data? How can i upload the file by using first method?

  • Filename of uploaded images

    I can see a couple of posts that have already been made about the filename used in the "Save As" dialog box after clicking on a FileDownload link but I can't see a resolution being supplied for this.
    I am using JHeadstart 10.1.2.0 and JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0.
    I have created a table with im_orddoc ordsys.orddoc, filename varchar2(100).
    In my view object I created a transient attribute to be used as the file download. Within the JHeadstart property editor, the im_orddoc is set to displayType of fileUpload and File Name Attribute to Filename. The transient download_orddoc is set to displayType of fileDownload and File Name Attribute to Filename.
    The filename is being stored correctly and being displayed correctly as the file download link, only, when you click on the link, in the file download box (using IE), the file name reverts to "ordDeliverMedia.xxx".
    How can I get the correct filename to be displayed in the save as dialog box instead of this generic name ?
    Also, I want to be able to display a link within a form for all types of uploaded media (ie doc, exel, jpg etc...). If an image has not been uploaded, a link is displayed. If an image has been uploaded, then the image is rendered rather than a link. How can I ensure that a link is always shown regardless of media type ?
    Cheers,
    Brent Harlow

    Brent,
    Yes, we noticed this too. Both issues are caused by the "magic" of the UIX <media> tag. It automatically recognizes the file type and displays an image as image instead of download link (a user can still right-mouse-click on the image and choose Save as..."). The issue with the filename in the download box is probably a combination of <media> tag and IE, in Firefox it works fine. Could you please repost your questions on the JDeveloper forum, may be the UIX guys know of additional settings on the <media> element to get the behavior you want.

  • How to retieve media files ?

    Dear all, I just updated my Ipad into version 7.0.2 but I lost all photos and other media files after updating, my ipad was stuck in recovery mode (tried to out of recovery mode but didnt work untill I update it) how to retrieve them back, tried some third party software but  didnt work. please help, thanks

    First thing, media files are like usual files (binary files to be specific). So, all the methods which are applicable to binary files can be used for media files as well.
    1. upload media files into local drive (ex...from c:\tmp1\movie.mpg to d:\tmp2\movie.mpg)This is very simple file copying, see: [http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/essential/io/bytestreams.html] .
    I have used data sink. but i am stuck.. it is not storing..Why you tried data sink? Do you have a processor to transcode the media file into another format ? Is it transcoding that you want to achieve?
    2. for transferring files over n/w, I know how to zip and unzip other files and process those at client side..but i want to know, Is there any special method available for 'media files'?.No (atleast I don't know....)
    @captfoss: I agree with you.
    Thanks!

  • Desktop 6 software won't work with media card, but phone works with card just fine.

    using latest software update for desktop and phone.
    Vista business
    Since upgrading to desktop 6 several months ago I can't upload media to my phone.  Windows does not recognize the media card as another drive.
    I can take pictures, record video and voice using the phone, and send that via bluetooth to my vista computer, but not by usb.
    However when trying to transfer media to my phone via usb I get an error message says I need to turn on mass storage mode (yes it's always on) but the error message just keeps repeating when I try to transfer anything to the media card via usb.  Can't transfer via bluetooth windows says I need some type of software that I can't find.
    I uninstalled version 6 and reloaded the last working version 5 and the roxio media manager and that didn't work either.
    I see this as being a blackberry software problem, uless someone has another idea.  I've posed in other forums with no help comming.
    What do I do?

    Hi midnightvisions,
    Have you tried reinserting the media card and battery?
    Can you please clarify something? Are you currently able or unable to transfer these files via Bluetooth?
    If you are able to, you may want to transfer these files to your PC via Bluetooth and format the media card and test again. http://bit.ly/f8fCQ8 If this does not resolve the issue or you are unable to transfer them via Bluetooth, try doing a clean uninstall of the BlackBerry Desktop Software then reinstall and test again. http://bit.ly/bvuRJU

  • I can't upload my photos?

    I'm new to online Adobe Photoshop, and everything seems to be functional, except when I click the 'upload media/photos/videos' button. None of them will even register that they have been clicked. Is there a reason for this and/or a way to fix it?

    Photoshop does not have an "upload" button.
    Are you confusing Photoshop with Elements or Express?
