Uploading music and pics to Touch

My daughter has an ipod Touch. I uploaded some pictures from my computer to the Touch before I gave it to her for her birthday. She then uploaded music from her laptop. The pictures were deleted.
How can I upload the pictures for her again and not delete her music?

Anytime you try to sync from a different computer, iTunes will erase what you synced from the first computer.
Email the pictures to her to download to her laptop. She can sync them from there.

Downloading previously purchsed music from iCloud is based on your iTunes ID, not your iCloud ID. (It uses "iTunes in the Cloud", which has nothing to do with your iCloud account, just your iTunes ID.)
If you are using a different iTunes ID on your iOS devices than the one you used to purchase the music, you'll have to sync the music to your devices using iTunes. If they are using the same iTunes ID, you can download the music to your devices as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519.

Just bought a new iMac....transferring music and pics from old PC...

I have a burning question. First let me begin by saying that our old PC is seriously infected with something. What? I dont know. What I do know is that is has gone from 110% speed to about 60% speed in a month. Not the reason we got an iMac but it was an excellent excuse for my wife My question is will I risk infecting my new iMac if I copy all the music and pictures (thats all I want) onto a external flash drive and simply copy that content onto my new iMac? All I want is my music and pictures, and like 20 docs. Will anything malicious on my PC (vista) piggyback over to my music and pics and onto my iMac? Thanks for the help.

For the music and audio books it depends upon where they came from. If they have DRM protection and the DRM is not compatible with the iPod/iTunes then you are out of luck. Audible.com audio are compatible with iTunes/iPod and you just add them to the Books library of iTunes. Music, if compatible, is just added to the iTunes Music library. Phots will sync just fine to the iPod. See:

Adding selective music and files to touch

I just got a new iPod touch 32 GB. I also have an iPod classic 120 GB. I want to know how can I selectively add different music to each of my iPod touch and classic. To be more specific, for classic I add everything that there in my library but for touch I don't want to add everything, only selected music and playlists. There might be some manual for this, but I could not track it... sorry. Can someone pls help.

Need help restoring music and pics to new computer...

My computer recently got a power surge from lighting and I had to buy a new one. I already deauthorized my computer and authorized my new one but I cant get my files on my Ipod Nano 3rd generation to upload to my new computer. I got my music files to upload but can not get my play lists to up load to Itunes or my pics to upload to my computer. I am using Vista now and don't exactly know where to find everything...that could be some of the problem. lol I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!

I am having trouble transfering music and pics from my old Nokia phone to Iphone 4s

Why won't my iphone 4s recognize my old phone so that I can transfer pics and music through bluetooth? It just keeps telling me it is not paired with the device but I can't figure out how to do so. The Nokia phone recognizes the iphone just fine.

Connect you rdevice to your computer/iTunes. Go to the Photos tab. Choose to have no photos synced over and then 'Apply' the changes.

How do you control iCloud. It uploads music and pictures that i have deleted and it continues to feed them to my TV. Example, I took a picture of an item in a store that I was considering purchasing.. It is now in I cloud with our family photos

How do I edit the content in iCloud? It uploads everything. If I take a photo of an item in a store that I am interested in, when I come home it will immediately show up on all of my devices. When I delete it from all of my devices, it remains in icloud only to show up in family photo shows on our television when we have family visiting. You should be able to delete pictures and music from icloud. Does anyone know if it is possible and if so how?

If you delete a photo from the photo stream album on your device, it should also be deleted from photo stream and all other devices connected to your photo stream. If you're running windows 8, perhaps the problem relates to that as Apple has not indicated that it supports iCloud syncing for windows 8 yet.

Hello, I am on the low end of technology knowledge. I just bought a 64 gb micro card for my razr maxx. Please share with me the easiest way to trnsfer my data from one card to the other.
Also FYI, I just came back from a trip to Italy. Since the JellyBean update my phone has not been able to connect to way to many free wifi spots. I was unable to connect on the cruise ship as well as in at least half the ports visited. Is Verizon or Motorola working on a software fix to help me and many of you with this known issue???

Thank you Nick. being able to connect to wifi like everyone else would have enhanced my trip. I was able to connect in some spots but few at best. There is nothing that you can do to help me or many others like me. It is up to Motorola and verizon to work on a software fix. I spent hours and hours trying to get answers and neither company wants to own up to the reality that one of the best phones today is now a mess due to this last Jelly bean update. I have bought a new router for my home and sisters home but can not buy routers for the may places that my phone will not connect. I wish that you could help me. i only had the phone for three weeks before this happened. I get error messages , poor signal, unable to connect.
Do you know of any potential fix being worked on for this known WIFI issue?
I assume that the info you sent about transferring Pics and video is the same for music?

Icloud:How to sync music and pics?

When I go to settings and then on store, it only shows apps and books which can ne synced to the icloud.
But how about music, pics etc.?
Any solutions?

I'm using the Portugal App Store (but living in a different country) and I don't see the Music option as well. This might be one of my biggest disappointment at the moment...
But I'm getting over that now since I can still sync iTunes music using WiFi which is enough for me. I was being too picky and getting upset but I managed to change my mind and face this limitation.

Exporting music/video&pics from touch to new computer

Hi all! I'm wondering if it is possible to export music/video/pigs from my touch into a new computer/empty iTunes? Is it? If so, how? I did back up but has been awhile and will lose some new video though all I'll do is get the file and convert it again. Am just curious if this is possible. Thank you and happy Easter!

The iPhone iOS 4 User Guide sees to indicate that the SYNCH function is all one way from computer to iPhone, unless it is for purchased items in iStore on the iPhone.

thanks for the "TouchCopy" software link. I have downloaded a demo copy and it will resolve my transfer of music from iPhone to the new computer. I can then delete any unwanted music on the new computer, then re-synch the updated music to iPhone.
I am not sure about the photos. On my iPhone, there are two photo "albums" - one called "camera roll" and the other called "photo library." TouchCopy finds the pictures in the "camera roll" DCIM folder, and I can copy them to the new computer etc.
However, TouchCopy does not seem to find the "Photo Library" folder. Any clues?

HT203180 How come my Ipod will upload music and not podcast? It has uploaded them in the past.

I have downloaded a couple of podcasts and they won't sync to my ipod. In the past they would upload, but I haven't gotten podcasts in a few years. I am confuzed because I thought it was suppose to sync whild your songs synced to your ipod. Am I missing something? Thanks

Double check to make sure podcasts are configured to sync to your device from under the iPod's Podcast configuration tab.
To access the Podcasts tab for your iPod, plug your iPod in and click on it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes. This will bring you to the Summary tab. Along the top you should see a Podcasts tab, so go ahead and click on it. Here you can configure how and what podcasts sync to your iPod.
If you do make any changes to do this tab, make sure to hit the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the update changes to your device.

So far blue screen, cannot upload music, and crackling headphones

Do I just have a bad phone or are others experiencing this?
I have downlloaded itunes 7.3 and everything says it is up to date.
1) It worked fine until I used the camera then when I plug it into my windows Xp laptop it says 'detected still camera' then blue screens. Continuously blues screen everytime I restart no matter if I run itunes first, have pictures in the camera, have the phone on/off or otherwise play about
2) when I go to the iphone in itunes I cannot drag anything into it. No matter if it is purchased music or ripped from CD or audiobook. My other ipod works just fine with all 3. I always get the 'do not enter' little circle cursor.
3) the supplied headphones crackle and make noise when you move the cable. If I plug in the headphones from my ipod it is fine
4) and when I try to call customer support I get 'no agents available' please call back. click.
Does anyone know how to fix this or should I go burn this thing.

I felt obliged to pass this along:
A workaround for this problem is to delete the photos you've taken with the iPhone's camera (NOT the ones you've loaded through iTunes), Reset All Settings, and do a power cycle. This is the temporary fix if you're getting the Blue Screen when you plug in the iPhone and your PC mistakes it for a "Digital Still Camera."
This has worked for me and a few other people.
