Uploading pattern in smartforms

Hi gurus,
How can I upload my customized pattern in smartforms. I want to put lines in the table, and none of the patterns defined in smartforms meets my requirement. How to create dynamic vertical lines in main windows. I need lines in some of the columns not in all, and those are random. Any kind of suggestion is welcome. I have read in a previous thread that it is possible to upload patterns in smartforms. How can we do that. Step by step suggestion would suffice. Full points are guaranteed.

If u see in the table tab of a table or template tab of the template there will be options available for you draw lines where it is required...To be mopre precise you can do it for the particular cells in template.
You requirement can be achived with this.

Upload graphic in smartform

Hello All,
I am facing problem in uploading graphic in smartform. I have to upload signature and its related contact details in smartform.
I have maintained signature in z_sign_xxxx format in se78. In smartform i am taking userid of person in z_sign_xxxx variable.Now
for eg z_sign_test is stored in se78. and i have taken 'test' name in variable z_sign_xxx. so variable z_sign_xxx has value z_sign_test now. when i call graphic there i mentioned variable name under graphic name. and while executing it is taking variable name rather than actual vaue which is z_sign_test. and thats the reason i am able to fetch signature.
Please advice if anyone knows this.

try putting name in & & in the graphic window:
&z_sign_xxx&
in such case program will put the value of your variable at runtime and try to find the following graphic from SE78.

When you right click on a window
then --> click create graphic
Name--> F4 will show you a window like this
Then press execute button ,from here you choose your graphic

I know that there is an option to create patterns in the smartforms version 4.7.But is there any way to create the required patterns of our own in smartforms version 4.6c.

Uploading Photo to Smartforms

Check this it may help u.
These are the steps to be followed for uploading graphics in R/3 system
1. First save the file as BMP
2. Open the BMP file in IMaging (Goto -> Programs -> Accessories -> Imaging) and
make it Zoom as 100% and save as *.TIFF
3. Open SE38 and execute program RSTXLDMC
4. Give your TIFF file path name
5. Select Bcol (for Color)
6. TEXT ID will be ZHEX-MACRO-*.
7. Inplace of * write your own logo name (ZCOMPANYLOGO)
8. Execute the program
9. Now Goto SE71 create your ZFORM
10. Create logo window
11. Goto text element of logo window
or
In 4.6x :-
1. Goto SE71 Change the mode to GRAPHICAL
2. Choose the Graph Tabstrips
3. Now type in some name for the LOGO WINDOW
4. Press the IMPORT BUTTON and then IMPORT the BMP file from your DESKTOP
5. The code will be written automatically. You just need to drag and drop wherever you want
the graphics to be.
Please note that in 4.6c onwards, you can also used Windows Bitmap file ( .BMP).
Once u upload u can use it in ur smartforms.

HR Employe Photo Upload in a SmartForm

Hello to everybody !!
We are running a 4.7 version and we need to set the employee picture into a Employee SmartForm . The pictures have been loaded with the Archive Link, and we are able to see them through transactions PA 20/30.
Does any of you know the name of a standard funcion that we can use in order to set the employee picture from the Archive Link into our SmartForm , apart from using the Transaction SE78 ?

Inserting Logo in SmartForm
Follow the given steps in order to add a logo,
1) In Smart Forms Editor, In left pane, right Click any Page (say Page1) and select Create -> Window, Give it a name and Description (Say Window1)
2) Right Click on Window (Window 1) and select Create -> Graphics, Give it a name and description
3) In general Attributes, Select Name, get search help (F4) , you will find a list of pictures
4) Select any picture and set its Resolution in DPI
5) Press F9 to open Smart Forms Builder, Select window (Window1) and In Output options window set, size and position of the Logo
6) Set any other parameters if required, save and activate.
7) If there is only 1 Window in the forms, set it as Main Window in general attributes.
8) User TCode SE78 to upload new pictures and logos.

How can i upload the style of a form

I am having one form on my desktop.That form i already uploaded to my 800 client.But it can't show the general attributes.It shows in error : Style YBAA_SFSTYLE could not be assigned to the text node.How can I import style also for this form.

Please be aware that the smartform and smartstyles are to be downloaded separately to the system for future use/reference.
In your case; I believe the smartstyle has not been downloaded to your desktop or is not available to you for reuse.
Anyways, you need to upload both the smartform and smartstyle to the client to avoide the error.

ICloud Photo Library doesn't upload

I have this issue since this morning (I live in Italy, so it's been happening the whole day): when I take a photo (or save it) with my iPhone 6 (iOS 8.3), the Photos app starts to upload it but within a few seconds it stops, and instead of showing "uploading 1 photo" it shows "1 photo to upload" (I don't know if this sentences are right, since I have my iPhone set in Italian). I've already tried soft reset, turning off and then on iCloud Photo Library, and even the whole iCloud, but the issue isn't gone. Please someone help me!

My Photo Stream upload limits
The My Photo Stream limits below are based on anticipated upload patterns. My Photo Stream upload limits are as follows:
Uploads to My Photo Stream per hour: 1000 photos
Uploads to My Photo Stream per day: 10,000 photos
Uploads to My Photo Stream per month: 25,000 photos
If you exceed one of these limits, your uploads to My Photo Stream will pause temporarily and you might see a notification on your device. Your uploads will resume automatically when you no longer exceed the limit, such as in the following hour or on the following day.
iCloud Photo Sharing limits
These are the iCloud Photo Sharing hourly and daily limits:
Maximum combined number of photos and videos from all contributors per shared stream, per hour: 1000
Maximum combined number of photos and videos from all contributors per shared stream, per day: 10,000
These sharing limits are separate from the upload limits above. For example, in the same day you could upload 10,000 photos to My Photo Stream, then share those 10,000 photos or 10,000 other photos.Some additional limits for shared photo stream usage:

Maximum shared streams a user can subscribe to: 100
Maximum subscribers per shared stream: 100 (the number of subscribers on each shared stream)

Pdf document into smartform

Dear Freinds,
I need to get a pdf from DMS and print that to a smartform report, can any one suggest what to do ...
currently i am able to print the bitmap file . but i need to workout with pdf file ..

We have some graphix as pdf format into our DMS. to achive this we have already done the following steps
1. With the help of 'BAPI_DOCUMENT_CHECKOUTVIEWX' , we have downloaded the file into my local machine .
2.if files are in bitmap format then we are using
                      PERFORM import_bitmap_bds
                      IN PROGRAM saplstxbitmaps
       to upload that file into the smartrom .
3. but in case if the file is in pdf format (as most of the graphix is in PDF bcoz of size constraint)
   i am unable to upload that to smartform.

Check whether the program is in TRDIR table or not,if it is there then it will be available else you need to talk to basis guys.
If the program is there and you want to revert to previous version then go to version management and select the version number and then click on the button RETRIEVE.
Smartforms don't haver the concept of version management and hence it is always advisable to download the smartform and then go ahead with the changes.If in case you want to revert to pervious version then you can upload the downloaded smartform and get back the previous version.

Draw frames in smartforms

Hi all,
Is it possible to use some costomized frame other than the predefined frame-pattern in SMARTFORMS? I just want to draw some frame like what can be done in standard report.

Hello Chang,
NO it is not poosible to use custom frames.
Work around could be to create a BMP and uplaod in background (Yes, it will only work if it is a template i.e STATIC).

Smartforms: Old versions used for automatic message emails

Dear all,
I have created several custom smartforms (copies of "CRM_REMINDER_MAIL) to generate reminder emails via actions for processor and reported-by.
I have originally uploaded these these smartforms, reworked them several times and newly activated them each time as usual.
However, in some cases, an old version of a smartform is sent out from the action, even though it was overwritten by a newer one that already worked since weeks!
I could not tie it to a special situation, e.g. a specific sender or destination address.
Is this a known problem? Any known issues with language or client dependencies?

Make sure that you not run Firefox in (permanent) [[Private Browsing]] mode.
* You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
* To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting <b>Firefox will: Use custom settings for history</b>
* Uncheck: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

Diagram in Smartforms

Hi all,
we want to create a Smartform which will be saved (as batch) in the content server as PDF (that´s easy.. )
But we want to include a diagramm into the PDF ( in the middle of the PDF ).
The diagramm contains data which are saved on the table & must generated while the batchjob is running. To save a Image ( SE78.. ) in the mime rep. is not really the right way...
Have anybody an idea, how to create a Diagramm > move it into the SSF > create a PDF and save that on the content server ??

First u have to place graphic window in smartform. And then add logo to the graphic window.
To upload logo u have to use the follwoing method.
Using tcode SE78, u can upload logo to the smartform.

FTP download

Hi experts,
I have a scenario with two steps which are link by Predecessor/Sucessor.
First step export an order of Sap B1 to a file in a FTP.
Second step get back this file from FTP and create a Delivery Notes in Sap.
I need to specify which file I want to get back. I don't know what I have to put in FilePattern of FTP Download.
In the outbound message of my first step I haven't the name of the file that I have create.
How can I do to get back the name of this file and to use it for the FilePattern of FTP download?

Hello Sarah,
you can use the same upload pattern, to get a list of files, you'll receive a return like this:

So you can select the last <File> node to catch the last file uploaded. Create another ftp inbound call atom to get the specific file. You can check the delete option to delete the file after download, if you don't want to store too many files. I hope this would be useful.
