Uploading photo's in iCloud

I have installed iCloud on my windows PC and I want to upload a bunch of photo's (to br able to view them on my iPad Air 2 128Gb)
When I select an album (created on my iPad) I chose Uplaod. Then I select some photo's on my PC and 'open', but nothing happens.
When I select 1 photo from same location I see 'Uploading 1 item' and after several seconds it ends and NOTHING is there. The same is happening
with e.g. selecting 10 photo's. Nothing is there.
Next day I found a part of the photo's in 'yesterday' moments.
I have the iPad configured to use the iCloud for photo's and it is synchronising.
- Are there any limits in uploading amount, size of photo's
- Why do I not get a message or some warning when there seems to be something wrong.
- I have bought some extra space (up to 20Gb) and that is for 15% occupied
- It looks like there is a a very, very bad and slow connection to the iCloud. True ?? (rest of internet, dropboxing, is very very fast)
I hope someone can clarify this for me. Thanks a lot

I experienced this problem recently but was able to solve it by signing out of, then back into Photo Stream on the computer. This will temporarily remove your photos, but once you get signed back in, it will repopulate the photos. Be sure you have updated to the latest version as well.

  • Upload Photos automatically to icloud (beta)

    HI
I recently turned on upload photos automatically to I cloud (beta) by mistake. On doing so I noticed that all my photos were disappearing so I immediately turned it back of and assumed that I could just go on to I cloud and they would be there. I have tried logging on to I cloud and checked my devices and the photos are not there. Can anyone help me to find there photos that have disappeared or where can I access them..
    Thanks Amanda

    Hello Lana Alana,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
If you are using the iCloud Photo Library beta, then your items are automatically being stored and uploaded to iCloud.  Take a look at the information outlined below to learn more.
Can I use iCloud Photo Library to back up my Photo Library instead of iCloud Backup or iTunes?
Yes. If you turn on iCloud Photo Library, it will automatically upload and store all of your photos and videos from any of your devices that are using iCloud Photo Library. iCloud Photo Library won't be part of the iCloud Backup, because it's already storing all your photos and videos in iCloud.

  • Can't upload photos from iphone icloud to computer icloud

I had called someone a while ago - I don't remember if it was Apple or whomever - now they want money for help.
My photos from my iPhone 4s are not uploading to my computer, windows 8 when I connect my iPhone to the computer.
Are the photos supposed to upload automatically on icloud or do I have to connect the iPhone to the computer?
Either way, it doesn't upload the photos.

    Hi grandmamonsey,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
From what I understand, you would like to import your photos and videos on your iPhone to your Windows computer. If this is the case, please use the instructions and information in the attached article below.

  • Problems on uploading photos to iCloud photo library

I had a problem on uploading photos to the iCloud photo library yesterday.
It shows that my mac is uploading my photos to iCloud but the numbers have stuck for days, I checked my WIFI and rebooted my mac for two times but it still didnt work.
I also turned on iCloud photo library on my iPad air and, similarly, the numbers still stayed the same....

There is probably maintenance work going on. Today I go continually warnings, that the photos cannot be found, when I tried to access iCloud Photo Library (Beta) from the iCloud page. Other threads reported, that the iCloud Photo Library (Bata) page was continually stuck on updating.
It is still a Beta service after all, accessional undergoing updating and reconstruction.

  • Iphone 6 not syncing with iCloud or uploading photos

since switching to the beta version (probably a big mistake in hindsight) my shiny new iPhone 6 will no longer sync with my iPad or upload photos to the iCloud. I get a persistent message stating I need to connect to wifi to upload - but my phone is connected to wifi every day and meanwhile the total number of photos not uploaded steadily increases.
I Have been unable to find an answer anywhere - even in the Apple Store Genius Bar, where they clearly couldn't be bothered.
Aby help would be gratefully received!

    Thanks Wilkie.
No, I haven't tried re-enrolling to iCloud but have searched pretty much everywhere for a resolution. It does seem as if I'm not alone with this experience though. My iPad seems fine but the iPhone 6 just will no longer sync with the iPad or the cloud. I did see a suggestion that turning the "upload to photo stream" off and on might rectify it, but I don't want to risk losing any photos or videos. This is extremely frustrating and I only wish Apple had warned of this possibly happening so I had the choice whether or not to accept the beta "upgrade". It would help if there was some news on when the beta version will end in the hope that this problem will also.
I do have other cloud storage and I am aware I can upload my photos to a shared account as a "get around" but the principle here is that Apple have messed things up and don't seem to be in a hurry to put them right either!

  • I am having no luck  uploading Photos to Icloud from my PC ?

    Hi
I am having no luck uploading Photos to my Icloud from my PC?
    Can anybody help me

Make sure you check Photo Stream on the iCloud control panel for Windows.  Then make sure you are uploading your photos by doing the following:
Photo stream supports jpeg, png, Tiff and most Raw formats, so make sure your file format is one of these.  Then, to add your photos to photo stream, open Windows explorer, select Photo Stream under Favorites on the left sidebar,:
Click on Photo Stream, then to the right double-click on My Photo Stream.  Click on Add Photos on the top the menu bar:
Select the photos you want to import, then click Open.

  • HT201317 I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 machine, and I was told to drag them into the photo stream in the iCloud control panel. I have downloaded the control panel several times, but cannot find the place to upload the photos from my Windo

I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 desktop, and was told to go to the iCloud control panel and drag the photos into the
upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done.  HELP

If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).

  • How can I 're-upload' photos to iCloud Photo Library Beta?

iCloud Photo Library a beta is set up to optimise iPad storage, but when trying to clean up my photo library, and opening photos to assess quality (which isn't feasible with the reduced resolution versions stored on my iPad) the full versions have downloaded and wiped out the storage capacity on my ipad!  I need to revert to to the 'minimised' version, but can't see how to do this.  Any help appreciated!

Are you really in a hurry to move your photos?
iCloud Photo Library is still a beta version. (See: iCloud Photo Library beta FAQ)  The Mac part has not yet been released, but all be available early next year. We do not know yet, what the Mac part of iCloud Photo Library will be like. The Photos.app for Mac will be able to upload to iCloud Photo Library.  If you simply wait till early next year, it will be the easiest transit. Then you will be able to migrate iPhoto Libraries and Aperture Libraries to Photos and store the photos in iCloud.
Right now, only iPad, iPhones, iPod Touches can upload to iCloud Photo Library Beta. And if you enable iCloud Photo Library Beta on your mobile devices, the usual ways to upload photos from your Mac will be disabled. It will no longer be possible to sync photos with iTunes, and you cannot upload using My Photo Stream. You would have to mail the photos to your mobile devices to upload them to  iCloud Photo Library Beta or use Dropbox or similar.

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Hope this helps. Good luck. Cheers.

  • Upload photos from pc to icloud photo library

I'm trying to figure out how to upload all of my photos that are on my PC into icloud photo library.while preserving my folder structure. I've spend about an hour or two a day on this for the past 2 months and I've gotten nowhere. I need to keep my photos in my folders/albums because many albums contain photos that were taken in many different locations at many different times but are related to each other.
So far it seems that Apple wants you taking pictures with only your ipad/iphone and not a DSLR camera. The old way of itunes syncing my photos onto my ipad and iphone was working fine but I love the idea of the icloud photo library. I just can't figure out how to get it to work.
Here's what I've boiled it down to:
    - I'm using a Windows 7 pc
    - I create an album on my ipad (I can't figure out how to create an album on icloud.com)
    - I open the empty album on icloud.com (using either Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, or Safari)
    - in the empty box in the middle of the screen it says "...upload photos by dragging them here"
    - the photos upload into All Photos, not into the Album
Can anyone help me? It seems so simple but I just can't figure it out. You may be thinking that I could just move the photos from all photos into the Albums but I need to do this for about 15,000 photos.
Another option seems to be to just use a service like Flickr to manage my photos but I like the idea of having all of my photos accessible when I'm not connected to the internet.

I have this problem too. Photo stream works fine on iPhone+iPad, but the photos are never loaded to my PC (Win 8.1). My shared folders works fine on iOS and PC, but not My photo stram.
In the beginning, a couple of years ago, it work, but not now (2014).
All iOS are updated, and PC-iCloud software/panel is Active, and Photo stream is activated.
    What to do??
Reset all streams on PC? I tried, no result.
I can understand that it takes time to reload all Pictures from iCload to my PC, but I wait Days, weeks...

  • How to upload photo to iCloud if...

    1) I deleted the photo in iCloud by mistake, but there's still one on iPhone(iOS7.0.4), what can I do if I want to upload it to iCloud again?
    2) I edited the photo, maybe croped it (function by iOS7.0.4 itself), or other ways, so I got a new photo, but iCloud did nothing to this new edited photo, what can I do to upload the one to iCloud?

Photos added to your camera roll are uploade to photo stream when the camera app is closed on the device, it is connected to wifi and has at least 20% battery life remaining.  You will know that they were successfully added to your photo stream when a copy of the photo appears in the my photo stream album on on your device.

  • I have a recently acquired iPhone 4. Is it true if I am using PhotoStream to upload photos to my PC via iCloud, photos are only pushed when wifi is available?  This means I don't have to worry about extra data usage, right? Thank you.

    Correct.
On an iOS device, new photos you take will be automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. Note: My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.

  • Uploading MP4 video to iCloud photos fails

I am trying to upload a 25MB MP4 video to iCloud photos yet I keep on receiving an error indicating 'JPEG format only'
I checked that you should be able to upload MP4 videos via iCloud on my PC so I can then view on my iphone 6.
    Can anyone help?

I see this question in a lot of places and in several Apple discussion groups. I've tried a number of the proposed solutions. I have 99GBs to upload. I got about 30GB uploaded twice, but then it kept stalling there (I have plenty of space). The solution that came closest was for me to turn off icloud, shut down Photos, rebuild Photos library (I think it's cntrl + option + double click on Photos icon), then start it all again. This let me get 60GB up fairly quickly, but it's been stuck there for a few days now. I also took my iMac into work and hooked it up to the bigger system there, since many people proposed doing that, assuming that those environments have bigger "pipes."  Anyway, I did all of this, and it's still stuck, uploading maybe one photo every six hours or so.
