Uploading photos to Picasa

I have a Motorola Droid and have not been able to figure out how to upload photos to my computer.  Step by step would really help as I am not real "tech savvy" about this.
Thanks - Old Guy from KY

Hi.  I understand that you want to upload your pictures to your computer.  I will be happy to tell you how to upload your pictures to Picasa (since I use it all the time)
Here are the steps
Select a photo from your gallery or take a picture using the Camera app.
From the menu, select Share > Picasa. Sign into your Google Account for Picasa Web Albums if necessary.
Enter a caption and/or album for the picture and select Upload.
Please let me know if this works for you.
Thanks!

  • How to upload photos to picasa web directly from ipad

does anyone know how can I upload photos that I transferred to my ipad using the camera kit, to picasa web directly from ipad?

I havn't tried either, but this app http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mypics-picasa-web-albums-manager/id351297486?mt=8 says that it supports :
    * Batch photo and video uploading
    And http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/web-albums-a-picasa-photo/id344997890?mt=8 says :
    • Quickly upload multiple photos and videos in full resolution to your Picasa account whether individually or in batches—you can even choose different image sizes.

  • Picasa Web albums: doesn't display all uploaded photos. This only happens on my desktop computer. All photos displayed on my laptop.

Not all of my uploaded photos display in my Picasa web album. All the photos upload, but 17 out of 90 photos don't display. Some are landscape, some are portrait. This is no pattern to what doesn't display (e.g., not every third photo). This only happens when I use my desktop computer. When I use my laptop, all uploaded Picasa web album photos display.

  • Is there a plug in for direct upload of photos to Picasa?

is there a plug in for uploading aperture photos to Picasa web albums?

There used to be a plug-in, but it has been discontinued - it is still available for download at mirror sites (by Softpedia: http://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/Aperture-Picasa-Plugin-Download-50358.html ), but since it is a 32-bit version, it is not compatible with Aperture 3.3; the new Aperture version is 64-bit only.

  • Viewing photos on Picasa Web after uploading-some are blank. Why?

Viewing photos on Picasa Web after uploading-some are blank. Why
Having trouble viewing photos in Picasa Web albums. When I upload them from my Picasa program to the web, some do not get loaded. Lots of blanks between photos.
Help from Picasa told me It was a problem with Mozilla Firefox to "Right-click the placeholder of. browser, however, I have been unable to do this.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
    * Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
    * Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
    * Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
    * Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

  • How do you set up a simple web page to upload photos from iMac?

How do you set up a web page on the iMac so you can upload photos and maybe even video from iPhoto to it?

You really do not need to create your own web page or site to upload photos to the web.
There are many sites that can host photos for free or very cheaply per year.
You create your own user location on these sites.
Do a search for either web hosting sites or photo hosting sites.
Here are a few you can look at to get you started.
    There's Apple's own iCloud
    Facebook
    Image Shack
    Photobucket
    Picasa
    Flickr
    To name a few.
Do a search and see which photo uploading site works best for you .

  • How to send iPhone photos to Picasa Web Albums

You can upload directly to Facebook or Flickr by going to the photo on your phone and while viewing it, tap the upload button (square with an up arrow) at the lower left of the screen.

  • Upload photo to webpage

With iPhoto I can easily upload my photo's to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa (plugin) and MobileMe. But How can I upload photo's to other websites? Every time I try and 'browse' my Mac, I can only find my iPhoto library, but not the actual pictures.
Is the only way to select a photo in iPhoto; finds its file, copy to another folder and then upload it to the website from that folder?

Is the only way to select a photo in iPhoto; finds its file, copy to another folder and then upload it to the website from that folder?
There is, but there's no need to. Have a look at the first option here:
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
+*(Note the above illustration is not a Finder Window. It's the dialogue you get when you go File -> Open)+*
You can access the Library from the New Message Window in Mail:
    Uploaded with plasq's Skitch!
*For users of 10.4 and later* ...
Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
*If you want to access the files with iPhoto not running*:
For users of 10.6 and later:
You can download a free Services component from MacOSXAutomation which will give you access to the iPhoto Library from your Services Menu. Using the Services Preference Pane you can even create a keyboard shortcut for it.
For Users of 10.4 and later:
Create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use this free utility Karelia iMedia Browser
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Uploading photos to Flickr, Pbase, SmugMug...

Does iPhoto allow you to automatically upload photos to popular photo sharing websites such as Flickr.com, Pbase.com and SmugMug.com? If so, do you need to download an additional "uploader" app to provide the bridge between iPhoto and these websites?
Which photo sharing website is iPhoto most compatible with? Which one is it most at home with?

    Reuben
It's not really a case of which one iPhoto is most compatible with, more a case of which ones have plug-ins for iPhoto. A search on Macupdate using iPhoto as the string found
    http://connectedflow.com/flickrexport/iphoto/
    and
    http://picasa.google.com/web/mac_tools.html
But there are others. Of course you can upload via a web browser to any site: simply select the pics you want to export then go File -> Export to the desktop and upload them from there. As the pics produced on the desktop are copies, you can trash them when the upload is finished.

  • Uploading Images to Picasa - they appear lighter

When I upload images from Aperture to Picasa the images on Picasa appear to be somewhat lighter than the original in Aperture. The photos on Picasa appear to be overexpoxed by about 0.5 EV.
I save my images in Aperture in RAW format. Can the conversion from RAW to JPG by Picasa be the issue?
iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.10)   Apeture images are in RAW format

Do the images look the same in Firefox/Camino and Safari? Except for Safari (and its close relatives Omniweb and Shiira) no other current browser on any operating system is color-managed.
In non-color-managed applications photos will look different from computer to computer. Your best bet is to present the photos in a format that is close to the average calibration of monitors. sRGB is considered to be that for Windows PCs, for Mac systems using default factory settings you would need to use a variation of sRGB that uses a gamma of 1.8 (not sure if such a variation even exists) or calibrate the monitor using a gamma of 2.2. Or best use Safari which by virtue of being color-managed takes care of these differences.
To get really consistent results you should calibrate and profile your monitor using a hardware calibration device.

  • Transfer photos from Picasa PC to Picasa Mac

    Hello everyone,
I'm about to switch, after so many years, PC to an Imac in the next days.
I have to consider how to migrate all my personal work to Mac universe ;-)
Among these, all my photos that I manage in Picasa tools, using it to create albums, tags and web share via Picasa Web.
I'm about to use Picasa for Mac, but how do I migrate all these albums, tags and so on on the new Mac device ?
I have all the original pics in an external HDD.
All questions I've found on forums concern migration to (or from) Iphoto, that is not intersting for me. And Google support deals with migration from (or to) Iphoto ! I will not use Iphoto.
Thanks if you have any ideas about that.
    Mike (Paris)

    Hello
    Read from google web site
    http://picasa.google.com/mac_tools.html
Two Google products for getting your photos online
Picasa Exporter is an iPhoto plug-in that lets you upload your photos directly from iPhoto. How to install: 1) Make sure iPhoto is closed 2) Double-click the PicasaWebAlbumsUploaders.mpkg from the disk image.
Picasa Uploader is a separate application for uploading photos. If you don't use iPhoto or the Picasa desktop app, this one is for you.

  • Exporting photos using Picasa

I use Picasa to export and share my iPhoto files. Prior to updating to iPhoto 6 (version 6.0.6), iPhoto and Picasa worked together flawlessly. Since updating to iPhoto 6, I have not been able to export and share my photos using Picasa. Each time I select a roll to export and attempt to sign-in to Picasa through the "export" feature in iPhoto, iPhoto immediately shuts down unexpectedly.
    How is this problem cured/resolved?

Can you explain a bit more what you mean when you say
I use Picasa to export and share my iPhoto files.
How do you do this? DO you mean that you're uploading to the net using the Picasa plug-in? Have you checked with google to see if the plug-in is updated?
