Uploading photos to Shutterfly

I am trying to upoload photos to Shutterfly to order prints.  I can't use my old method of copying and pasting prints to my desktop and then uploading from there because they have been edited (love this method because I can find the ones I want).  When I connect to Shutterfly via the create tab, I get as far as choosing the prints, size, and quanity and then it won't go any further.  It stays a blank white screen.  The photos don't seem to upload.  I have created 4 accounts using all available email addresses.  Each time I click on the Shutterbly tab, it won't promot me to sign-in only to create a new account. Any suggestions?

I would also post to the Muvipix.com Community/Forums, as there are a lot of subscribers there, who use all sorts of image sharing/printing services, and you will probably receive help from people, who use and know Shutterfly. Lot of diverse knowledge in those Muvipix.com Forums.
Good luck,
Hunt

Is there a way to upload photos to my Shutterfly "share" site from Elements 9?
    Thx

I share your pain!  I spent hours trying to upload for the photo book.
Finally did.  I think that the key thing was to download, is it MAzola and
Firefox.  I typed as i recall Firefox into my search saw a screen for
Firefox and downloaded it.  The the flash 11 Adobe part seemed to work.( on
the Adobe.download,.also a nightmare, I checked my computer and saw that
the program was downloaded into the wrong area..it was in Documents or
something such..I went to the Program area on my computer, opened that and
then tried the Adobe download again..that time the Flash downloaded into
the program area and that seemed to work,  I am not at the computer where
this all took place so, it may sound off, but it did work.  Good luck..MY
photo books have come and the look great..

  • Since I upgraded to Yosemite I can no longer upload photos to eBay by selecting "events"  all my photos pop up together.  Anyone know how to fix this?

I recently updated to Yosemite 10.10.1.  Since I updated I can no longer upload photos to eBay, Shutterfly, Craigslist by selecting "events".  It is no longer an option.
All my photos come up as one entire library.  When I view them in iPhoto they are divided into events, however once I go to upload them the entire library appears without any defining options, such as "events", recent imports, etc.   I thought at first this might be an issue with eBay, but realized it wasn't when I tried to list on Craigslist.  This is a nuisance and time consuming process.  Does anyone know if there is a fix in the future or if I am just missing some quick fix?

I would like to add that Comcast is my internet provider. Perhaps that is part of the issue although the Connection Doctor confirms the mail box is connecting to the internet. No other function processes when Connection Doctor program is used to find the source of the issue. I have read forum posts but am unable to find a way to get my Apple mail to be delivered to my computer. It worked fine up until I chose to transfer mail to the Cloud. My mail account is a .mac account.
Still hoping someone out there can help me.
    thanks,
    anne

  • I can no longer import pictures from photos to shutterfly? Can someone guide me?

When I had iphoto I was able to upload pictures form my events onto shutterfly. Now, with this new prgram, photos, I am unable to down load photos into shutterfly. Can someone help with this issue?

You should e able to see the Photos Library in any file chooser dialog panel in the sidebar.
When you select files for uploading on the webpage, scroll the file chooser panel down, until you are seeing the "Media" section in the sidebar. Click the "Photos" icon and select the "Photos" library.  That will work, if your current Photos library has been enabled as the system Photos Library. The option to make it the system photo library is in the Photos Preferences > General. If this option is disabled, your library is already the System Photos library.

  • C3-00 uploading photos to facebook

    Hiya
I was just wondering if anyone knew how to upload photos straight to facebook from a nokia c3-00? thanks.
    Grace

I'm having problems with Facebook and Photos also.  I used to be able to click on Facebook's Add Photo button and it would come up with the PhotoBooth folder and iPhoto folder.  Then I could open iPhoto folder, see my pictures and upload them.  Now I can't find my pictures anywhere.  I can upload them through Photos into an album on Facebook but sometimes you just want to upload one picture to a group or something, not put it into an album, and I can't find the pictures to do this.  Anyone have any ideas about this?  Just checked out Shutterfly also to see if I could see the photos to upload there and couldn't find them either.  Come on Apple, where are the pictures?  I don't want to have to use iCloud for everything and don't even know if I can upload from there anyway.

  • Unable to upload photos to any website

I am unable to upload any photos to any websites.
When I try to upload photos I just get the rainbow wheel and I either have to force quit (it shows the browser in "not responding") or if I leave it long enough it will "quit unexpectedly".
The uploading process encounters error as soon as I hit upload and it opens the box, I am not even able to choose where I would like to upload from.
I have tried this using the browsers: Safari, Opera, and Firefox.
I have tried to upload photos to facebook, craigslist, shutterfly (I can upload to shutterfly using their extension in iphoto), walmartphoto, and a few other b/s/t forums.
As far as trouble shooting I have erased cookies, emptied cache, deleted my history, shut down all applications, restarted my computer, done a virus scan, reset preferences, unblocked and reblocked pop-ups, reset safari, made sure software was up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled Opera and Firefox...
This has been going on a few months now so I have searched people having similar issues and have tried a few of their tactics but it seems as if their issues were to a specific website so I have not found anything that even slightly improves the issue yet.

    Hello CherriNicole,
While researching what could be causing performance issues with Safari, I found this article I feel will be helpful.
Safari: Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3230?viewlocale=en_US
    Resolution
Use the add-on's uninstaller, if possible
    Quit Safari.
Remove any unsupported third-party add-ons you've installed (see if the add-on's installer includes an uninstall feature).
    Open Safari again.
If these steps fix the issue you were having, check the website of the software's developer to see if there is an updated version available, or avoid using the add-on.Manually uninstall third-party add-onsIf the software doesn't have an uninstall feature, quit Safari and try manually removing the third-party add-on files. These files are usually installed in one or more of the following locations:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    /Library/Input Methods/
    /Library/InputManagers/
    /Library/ScriptingAdditions
    ~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
    ~/Library/Input Methods/
    ~/Library/InputManagers/
    ~/Library/ScriptingAdditions
The first four locations listed are in the root-level Library on your hard disk, not the user-level Library in your Home folder. The tilde (~) represents your Home folder.
To find the Home folder in OS X Lion, open the Finder, hold the Option key, and choose Go > Library.
To find the Home folder in Mac OS X v10.6 and earlier, open the Finder and choose Go > Home. Then, click the Library folder.
If the issue is resolved by removing items from the above locations, return the items one-at-a-time and test Safari. That way you can determine which item is causing the issue. Once identified, remove the problematic item and put the others back. Check for updates to the items that are found to cause issues, or report the issue to the add-on developer.
Note: When removing items from the above locations, do not put them in the Trash and empty the Trash. If removing the items does not resolve the issue, you can put them back where they came from. In Mac OS X v10.6 or later, you can use the Put Back feature of the Trash to automatically put them back where they came from.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • I can't upload photos to the internet

I have search this site and haven't found the answer yet so, here goes...
I can't seem to upload any photo files to the internet(I've tried Shutterfly and MySpace). Just a couple of months ago I was able to do this with no problems, now, suddenly, no matter what size the file I cannot do it. I know how to decrease the pixel size. I know how to export the files to my desktop and to make sure they are jpeg files. I've tried using the following browsers: Explorer, Safari and Firefox. Help! I have a DSL connection. This is not new. What else could be happening?

What tool/service do you use to upload your photos ? Is it a particular webpage or a service ? The server to which you are uploading could also be the problem. I had issues with uploading photos to eBay for instance for a while, sometimes a new software on the selling plateform or an update of the internet browser can lead to this (usually it is temporary until someone fixes it).

  • All browsers crash when uploading photos!

    Hi,
I've had a problem for a while now which is getting really annoying: both Firefox (latest version) and Internet Explorer "unexpectedly quit" instantly as soon as I try to upload photo files. This happens as soon as I click any 'browse' button (to upload files) on any webpage.
I used to be able to get my files online by using Safari instead, but today it began to crash too, in exactly the same way! I tried clearing Safari preferences, etc. as an experiment, but it didn't help.
A possibly unrelated but equally mysterious problem has also cropped up recently involving my passwords - first my banking website, and now Shutterfly, have started rejecting my (correct) password several times before they will accept it and let me in! And yes, I'm sure I'm typing it correctly.
Both these problems seem to be getting worse, and I now have no way of uploading anything to the web. Could this be some sort of virus? (I thought such things didn't exist in Macland...
I'm reluctant to just upgrade to the latest Mac OS in case it has other problems... and I certainly don't want to do it unless it will solve my browser issues!
If anyone has any advice, I would be most grateful.
    cheers from Down Under,
    ashlingirl

Hi there, and thanks so much for tackling my strange problems! I'll try to answer your questions point by point - I am more or less computer literate, but once we hit the technical stuff I usually leave it to my programmer husband. Unfortunately, he's overseas on business right now, so I'll have to hack this one myself. So here we go:
    Hi,
To understand what's going on here, we'll probably
have to know a bit about your network. (Passwords can
be cached; the browsers could be timing out; there
could be many reasons why you're seeing what you're
    seeing.)
First, however, there are no viruses for Mac OS X.
What you are seeing therefore cannot be a virus.
Second, let's take a look at your network. How do you
connect? Are you on a LAN? Wifi? Are other people on
    your network with you?
We have a wireless LAN in our house, with broadband DSL Net access (using a Netgear router). My Mac, however, is hooked directly into the router - my husband just uses the wireless functionality for his laptop. No one outside our family uses the network, and as I said my husband is away at the moment, so my computer is the only one online.
Third, could you describe what happens when your
password is rejected? There's a difference between a
quick rejection and one that takes a long time,
because the latter could be a time-out.
The password thing is weird, because it's not consistent. Yesterday, for instance, I logged onto Firefly about 10 times in a row, because the browser kept crashing and I was trying different things to fix it. At first, it would just spit me back to the login page once (immediately, with no delay, and no error message), but then when I typed in the same password the second time, it would let me in. Which is strange enough - but by the end of my session, I couldn't get it to let me in at all, no matter how many times I tried. It would just immediately send me back to the login page, over and over again.
Fourth, have you tried an FTP client to upload
photos? (This may not be possible with the services
that you use, but I don't use them, so I don't know.)
Here's where I admit my ignorance: I don't know what an FTP client is. The main thing I'm trying to do is to upload photos to either Shutterfly.com (so my relatives in the US can view/print them easily) or eBay. Don't know whether a separate upload program would be usable in these circumstances.
I actually suspect the problem I have is with the little Java plugin that Shutterfly uses as a picture-download interface. Maybe lots of websites use similar bits of code, and that's why I'm having trouble on all of them.
But all I really know is that every time I hit a "Browse" button on any website (which normally brings up a menu showing the contents of my desktop and lets me choose files to upload), my browser dies. And this happens on Mozilla Firefox, IE, and now Safari too.
Fifth, take a look at the Console logs. The Console
app is in Applications > Utilities. It will show you
what the applications say right before they crash and
die. Also, in the Console app, you can look at the
crash log for Firefox and Safari.
I got in there, and there is certainly heaps of info: the problem is, I don't know what most of it means. Would you mind terribly if I just paste all of yesterday's activity here and see if anything jumps out at you? Here goes:

  • When I first am looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library", a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "loading" (the photo looks good to me), then it is more "faded" and does not look as good.  Is there some setting on that I am not aware

When I am first looking at my newly uploaded photos in "Library," a box appears near the bottom of the photo that says "Loading".  While it is loading, I usually think the photo looks "good".  After the photo is done loading, it looks more washed out.  Is there some sort of setting that I might have on (or that I need to turn on) so that this does not happen.  I have Lr4.  Thanks.

    Hi Tracy,
There used to be a way to see if poster was new to the forum.., anyway - welcome to the forum.
As I was alluding to, biggest differences in initial display are due to:
    * Camera calibration profile.
    * Auto-exposure/contrast settings (for which compensations have been auto-applied in camera, but not in Lightroom).
So, choose a matching camera calibration profile (whether that's an option or not depends on your camera model - they're available for many but not all models) if you prefer one of them over "Adobe Standard" (the factory default profile).
Also, your camera covers for underexposure due to non-optimal auto-exposure/contrast setting, Lightroom doesn't, so your options are:
    * turn it off in camera.
    * learn to compensate manually (or automatically via a plugin) in Lightroom.
Of course, in addition to preferred defaults (alt-click big "reset" button in dev module), come up with some presets which are appropriate for your druthers and type of photography.. e.g. these will compensate Nikon ADL settings:

  • I'm new to Mac and cannot figure out how to upload photo's from my iPhoto library to eBay for the purpose of selling. Can anyone help?

I'm a seller on eBay and very new to Mac. I just started to list an item when I got to the area of uploading  pictures of an item to my listing. I cannot figure out how this is done. I downloaded pictures from my camera to iPhoto and they apear not only in my iPhoto library but in an eBay folder/album I created. When I go to upload photos I cannot find my photos in either the Library or the eBay album. I've tried using both the basic uploader and and standard uploader choices provided by eBay.

While running iPhoto you'll need to select the pictures you want to use for eBay and then select Export from the File menu. The Export Dialog box has several options and I believe the second option is File Export - that's the option you want to choose. Now you can select the picture quality, size, and export. The file selector will appear so you can indicate the folder you want the pictures to be exported into. Now you can take the next step, sending them to eBay.

  • I cannot upload photos from iPhoto 9 to Flikr. When I attempt to do so, I get the message "the login details or auth token passed were invalid." Please help.

I cannot upload photos from iPhoto 9 to Flikr. When I try, I get the message "the login details or auth token passed were invalid."  I am using iPhoto 9 version 8.1.2, and my OS is 10.9.5. My computer is a MacBook Pro. I do not have this trouble with my iMac.  This trouble started before I updated to OS10.9.5.  I do not have this problem when uploading to FaceBook or sending by e-mail.
This problem started when I tried to upload some photos after hitting the "use other account" tab. This took me to a Flikr site asking me for permission to make my iPhoto information available to others.  I clicked "yes," and then I changed my mind and clicked "no." I haven't been able to upload to Flikr since.
I searched Flikr and Yahoo for a solution, and Yahoo says the trouble is in iPhoto.  I checked my Flikr account, and iPhoto extensions are enabled.
I need to upload some school and alumni photos, so I sure could use some help. I am Not computer proficient.  Thank you.

    1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

  • HT201317 I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 machine, and I was told to drag them into the photo stream in the iCloud control panel. I have downloaded the control panel several times, but cannot find the place to upload the photos from my Windo

I am trying to upload photos from my Windows 7 desktop, and was told to go to the iCloud control panel and drag the photos into the
upload to photo stream icon. I have downloaded the contol panel several times and cannot find the icon to get this done.  HELP

If you're trying to add photos to photo stream on your PC, you drag them to your photo stream uploads folder (normally My Pictures\Photo Stream\Uploads).
