Uploading pics on facebook

I keep getting a message that says upload failed what can i do to fix this

Does she have Parental Controls operating on her Mac, as these were a factor in a somewhat similar situation here.

If she does, then removing them may be here only recourse.

flash player not working.  can't watch video and can't upload pics to facebook

thanks for helping.  I have windows 7, internet explorer.  recently had to replace my hard drive, and compete reinstall of all software so still a few bugs on settings, ect.  not seeing any error messages.  video and uploading pics seemed to be fine until the last week.  not sure what could have changed .  I can still look at PDF ect, I'm not positive its the Adobe that is messed up, but the 2 things I'm having problems with, clicking on and watching video on espn.com and not uploading pics to Facebook, both just does nothing when I try them.  no errors, just black screen where its suppose to play or upload.  the trouble shooting for both sites say make sure to have the latest version of flash player, so thats why I assume something is wrong with Adobe.  when I do the self scan from this site it says I have the latest version.  my settings say the player is enabled

  • Upload a Pic On FaceBook.. :(

    Helo folks
Ipad is a wow-ish machine for browsing, however, I cant, neither any, to manually upload a picture through facebook using Safari app. Because, as I know its a missing feature/option came like this.
    Now I have2 questions.
1- does anyone figures a way to upload a pic through safari to facebook? Maybe I missed something.
2- is there an app to upload pic to facebook with? If yes, what is it (free one please).
Now Its a bit of a shame, ipad is a great future device, FB is the number 1 web = cant upload your own pics. It does annoy me just to open my laptop and get it connected , go to FB and sign in, upload and switch off, just to upload a Me smiling pic.
Hope I get help folks, thanks in advance.

You should be able to use the facebook iPhone app on the iPad and upload pictures with it. The image will be stretched out, but it should work. Unfortunately, Facebook has said they have no immediate plans to develop a iPad version.

  • How to change icon size when uploading pics?

So I'm uploading pics to facebook, into an album where I'll put multiple pics.   The problem is that when I click upload on facebook, and the "upload finder window" comes up, even though I choose icon as the view way, they are at the smallest size, and barely recognizeable.
Note that I'm not talking about a regular finder window. I know how to get those to come to the right size. I have already set my preferences in finder to show all icons at 128x128, but it doesnt seem to affect the browser upload finder...  this problem shows up with all browsers too (safari, chrome, firefox)
I'm at my wit's end because I have to upload multiple pictures every two or 3 hours for work, and this is jsut ridiculous.

I just upgraded to iOS 7.0.4.  I hate it and wish I could uninstall it.  Is there any way to change from the huge icons of 4X4 on screen to old style of 4X5 size?
    You cannot.
But how is 4x4 larger than 4x5?

  • Can't upload photos to Facebook from Firefox..!

I'm using the latest Mozilla Firefox on Win 7 64-bit. I've tried every options but still I couldn't upload pics to Facebook through Firefox..! But it's working smoothly without any issues on Opera and other browsers. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Clicker,
Thank you for your questions. Please try the following:
    * Clear cache and cookies of facebook site
    * Try safe mode [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]] to make sure it is not an add on.
    * Check you antivirus
    * Make sure flash is up to date and the older versions are removed. Version 14 is the most current and make sure it is enabled.
    * make sure it is the right format: [JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF or TIFF files.](https://www.facebook.com/help/www/167931376599294)

  • Iphoto freezes when trying to upload pics

When I am working from an internet site and trying to upload pics ie; Facebook or my website, iphoto will freeze and I have to force quit safari and all my work is lost.
I have updated my software, and that doesn't seem to have helped.
When I am just in iphoto directly it works fine.
    What do I do?

It doesn't sound like you are actually in iPhoto. The way you can tell is, when you are doing whatever it is you do and the computer "freezes", look in the upper left corner right next to the Apple. What does it say?
It sounds like Safari is the program having issues.
Try going to the Safari Menu > Reset Safari. Uncheck the options for Remove other auto... and Remove Saved Names...
    See if that helps.

  • Since upgrade no photos appear in iphoto list when trying to upload a pic to facebook. I can "share" on my own wall but not post a pic to a friend's wall.

No photos appear in the iphoto list when trying to upload a pic to facebook. I can "share" a photo on my own wall or add one to an album through iphoto directly. I cannot figure out how to post a pic to a friends wall.

Exactly how are you trying to do this and waht is the problem
The iPhoto facebook upload can only post to your account
If you are uploading using a browser your photos are accessed through the media browser in the lower left ahnd corner of the puload window under media ==> photos ==> iPhoto
Please describe what you are doing, what problem you are having and what version of iPhoto and of the OS you are using

  • Bold 9650 freezes when uploading pics (Facebook v1.9? issue?)

I have the Bold 9650 and use v5.0.0.975 and upgraded to the new Facebooko v1.9 as soon as it was available (did not get the beta app, I waited) and ever since I did whenever I go to take a pic and upload it to FB, my phone freezes and locks up. Every time! IF it decides to unfreeze (and that has only happened less than 1/2 a dozen times) then it will not allow me to cick on any other icons on my phones main screen...sms, contacts, email, browser. The only other solution is a battery pull and that is getting old REALLY quick!
Well, let me just say that this is when I noticed the problem...I am assuming it is tied to the FB upgrade, but I could be wrong.
I have tried posting on Crackberry.com and not gotten any helpful advice so wondering if someone in here could help me with some suggestions to prevent this from happening every time.
I am thisclose to doing a complete system wipe and starting over to see if that would help...but that would be my last resort, obviously!
Thanks in advance for your response!

Hi!!  I have the same exact issue, we are both not alone and i'm soo happy i actually found someone else that is having this happen.  I'm not happy we have this problem cause i know its exhausting.  DO NOT DO A SECURITY WIPE!  It won't help.  I've done a wipe and verizon just replaced my phone on Friday and i am still having this issue.  Also, i'm now running v 5.0.0.1006 so its not the os like i thought it was.  I am starting to think it is the fb app.  Maybe should just uninstall fb and wait for an updated version, i don't know...
    Hope this helps alittle...
    Valene
Valene: I never did the security wipe - I upgraded to OS 6.0.0.028 and am STILL having this problem with uploading pics using the FB app as well as the mobile site...I have 11 months left before my NE2 and will more than likely be switching to an Android at that time...ticks me off that every time I want to upload a pic and share it that I have to do a freakin battery pull. Sure hope the powers-that-be at FB and BB see these posts and get to steppin on a fix!

  • How do I upload pics from my ipad to Facebook.

How do I upload photos to Facebook from my iPad?

Use a facebook app, either the 'official' one or a third party one. It's possible that with iOS6 you'll be able to do facebook natively, but no one knows for sure yet, in the meantime, an app can allow you to upload pictures.

  • Why is iphoto reposting old pics to Facebook?

Since upgrading to Mountain Lion and the most recent iPhoto, there have been several times when iPhoto reposted old pics to Facebook. I do not yet see a pattern. The pics that got reposted were originally among pics I uploaded to Facebook through iPhoto (long ago). Before being reposted, I had "touched" the pics in iPhoto (once I added a keyword, once I exported several pics and all of them got reposted). For none of the pics that got reposted had I gone to the Facebook album section of iPhoto. Rather, I accessed them from the events section.

I was getting this issue, not when adjusting the actual photos i had previously uploaded, but when uploading NEW photos into facebook. It would 're-send' an existing event to facebook and gum up everyones news feed with what i was doing 6 months ago, followed by my new event
any ideas on what might be causing this?

  • Uploading pics from Iphoto to website degrades quailty. Can anyone help??

When I upload my pictures from my digital camera to Iphoto, the picture quality is great. But, when I upload pics from Iphoto to any online website such as facebook, or email, etc, the picture quality degrades and looks very grainy. I tried using a compressor program to change the size of the picture but that doesn't seem to help. I'm using iphoto 08. Any suggestions??

Yes, the quality is very bad because you're uploading tiny thumbnail files. What would you expect?
There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
For 10.5 users: You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Apple-Click for selecting multiple pics.
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. If you're using Gmail you can use THIS
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
    Other options include:
    1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
    2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
    3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

  • Upload images to facebook

Hello, I have a 5530 xpress music and  I would like to know how can I upload images to facebook directly from my phone. Maybe I need an app to do that. Please tell me about it.
    Best regards.
    Fernando

There's a facebook app that came preinstalled in your device, you can use gt to load images to facebook. If you don't find it in your phone, search for the same in ovi store.
You can also upload pics and your other media directly from phone using share online with help of 3rd party plug ins like pixelpipe. Or you can use the pixelpipe app to share media to multiple destinations. Its available in ovi store.

  • Upgraded OS yesterday, now Cant upload pics??

I upgraded my OS yesterday, later on I tried uploading pictures to Facebook, but they never uploaded. I never had a problem before. Do I have to do something different? or Is there anything I have to do after an upgrade besides Accepting the new terms for apps? This is my first BB and upgrade, so I don't know what else I am supposed to do if anything.

There are three ways (at least) to get files from the iPhoto Window.
To upload to MySpace or any site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there.
Or, if you want to access the files with iPhoto not running, then create a Media Browser using Automator (takes about 10 seconds) or use THIS
Also, for 10.5 users: If you use the extended Open or Attach dialogue (with Column View) you can scroll to the bottom of the Shortcuts and find the Media browser there. Select any pic you want from there.
