Uploading Same File from My Docs to Multiple Sites does not synch to same location
If one uploads the same file to diff sites, first one must find file in My Docs or My Computer etc. With Firefox 3.6 the second upload didn't have to be found on PC, one just clicked browse and it appeared. But with Firefox 4.0 one has to Click My Docs (etc.) and search for the file anew. This is a hassle I don't need. How do I fix it?
This is Methane again. Please insert this simple clarification of above. Sentence 7 of above at end should read: browse on the second or third SITE etc. I. HOPE THIS MAKES IT CLEARER. THANKS.

Hi, can I upload Pages files from my iPad to Google Sites?
I set up a File Cabinet page, and when I touch "Add file," it only allows me to select files from my Photo Stream. I'd like to be able to select files from my Pages documents.
I am trying to use Sites for my students' ePortfolio, and the only way I can manage to get files onto the file cabinet is to export it to an app which will, in turn, save it as a photo. This process will be a monster when I'm trying to get a bunch of freshmen to upload their portfolio artifacts from Pages.
iPad implementation has been very frustrating for my school--I wish they had laptops!
Thanks!PS -- I really did search the community for this topic. I apologize if it's a repeated question.

I am new with iMac and I am trying to copy some file from my external HDD that a used with my PC but it does not let me also I can't delete anything from this HDD using the finder. Can somebody help me , please?
No, unfortunately, when you format a drive, it will erase all the contents. So you will need to find a temporary "storage" place to put the stuff using a PC so you have access to it. Then reformat using Disk Utility (Applications > Utilities). If only using with mac, format Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and use GUID Partition scheme under Partitions/Options. After formatting, you can drag the files back.

How do one can upload a file (a PDF, doc etc) while filling a web form through chrome or safari? It is possible to upload a photo from the camera role, but other file types can not be uploaded.
For a variety of reasons, mostly related to security, the iOS operating system limits what can be done with respect to file uploading and downloading. But whenever you encounter a limitation like this always think, "There must be an app for this."
Check the apps James Ward suggests. -
How to upload pdf file from windows cell phone?
How to upload pdf file from windows cell phone?
You can do this in steps.. First use the built in method for uploading a file into the flows files object, Next you would copy the file out to an Oracle built directory on your UNIX box using utl_file.put_raw..
Here is a link to show you how to upload files in an APEX application [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31036_01/doc/appdev.22/b28839/up_dn_files.htm]
And here is a link to show you how to use utl_file.put_raw.. [http://psoug.org/reference/utl_file.html], item is towards the bottom of the screen..

Can't upload any files from my mac to the Internet
I am new to Macbook, and this obviously never happened before
So, the problem is:
I can't upload any files from my Mac anywhere (Facebook, Instagram, etc)
I can't attach files to e-mails.
any files that are on my desktop, folders - they just turn in grey and I can't choose them.
The only way I can do it is by going to "ALL FILES" where I have to search through all the files that are on my Mac
Keep in mind that this is a glitch, because earlier it was all fine and normal
To see what I mean I am uploading a skreen shot of attemp of uploading files to Fb.
Can anybody help? Can it be some sort of virus?Okay I had the same problem but I figured it out. When you go to choose file, all the links are greyed out. Use two fingers simulatiously and click down on the file you want, then choose "quick look" from the option menu. This will open a preview of your document and make the open button usable. Close the preview, and then select the open button.
The site I was trying to use says it only supports IE, so maybe that is what causes the problem.
Hope it works for you! -
I need to upload my files from one directory into other directory.
i need to upload my files from one directory into other directory.( all its contents,folders,sub folders, files etc)
for this task
suppose my source folder is C:/test/test1/test2/test3
and my destination is D:/
first i have to check whether my dest dirctory already contains source directory..and its files
if it contains the same structure then i have to replace the destination dir structure to source dir structure( to upadte changes)
if it(dest dir) not contains source dir ..means it doesn't contain source folder then
i have to create same source folder directory structure ( test.test1/test2/test3...) at destination(D:/) and copy all its contents frm source directory...
( means i don;t want to create manually same dir structure as source at destnation dir to copy all contents)I believe you need to read up on the class File.java (it comes with java).
Some examples:
File file = new File("C:/myDirectory");
if(file.isDirectory())
System.out.println("this is a directory");
if(file.isFile())
System.out.println("this is a file").
You will then need to read up on other classes to read/write to the file such as FileReader and FileWriter. -
Uploading a file from a J2ME application
Ok, obviously this is either not interesting, or no one really knows what to do, I would love any ideas even if they dont work, just anything that would help would be great :)
I am extremely new to servlet programming and reasonably new to J2ME. I want to upload a file from my device to a central server. I am not sure how to go about starting this. I have a html form that requests a file and posts it to the servlet fine, but I am not sure how I would get my J2ME application to do the same. Do I replicate the html from with in the program? Any help would be much appreciated.
My basic servlet and Java code is:
Java
public String sendPostRequest(String urlstring) throws IOException {
HttpConnection hc = null;
DataInputStream dis = null;
DataOutputStream dos = null;
String message = "";
// the request body
FileSystem fs = new FileSystem();
byte[] file = fs.returnFile("c:/other/dot/helloworld.txt");
if(file != null){
String fileString = ("file=" + new String(file));
try {
// an HttpConnection with both read and write access
hc = (HttpConnection)Connector.open(urlstring, Connector.READ_WRITE);
// set the request method to POST
hc.setRequestMethod(HttpConnection.POST);
// set request type
// Could possibly need to be "application/x-www-form-urlencoded"????????????????????????????????
hc.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "multipart/form-data");
hc.setRequestProperty("Content-Length", fileString.length()+ "" );
// obtain DataOutputStream for sending the request string
dos = hc.openDataOutputStream();
byte[] requestBody = fileString.getBytes();
// send request string to Web server
for (int i = 0; i < requestBody.length; i++) {
dos.writeByte(requestBody);
// flush it out
dos.flush();
// obtain DataInputStream for receiving server responses
dis = new DataInputStream(hc.openInputStream());
// retrieve the responses from Web server
int ch;
while ((ch = dis.read()) != -1) {
message = message + (char) ch;
} finally {
// free up i/o streams and http connection
if (hc != null)hc.close();
if (dis != null)dis.close();
if (dos != null)dos.close();

-fluffy-I've only done one small j2me program and not recently, but here is a link that can give you some of the basics: http://today.java.net/pub/a/today/2005/02/09/j2me1.html
I'm guessing, but I believe you have to use http sockets to accomplish a file transfer with a phone. Also, there are some limitations with full sockets depending on which type of phone you using to write your app to.
Hope that helps! -

Help please to Upload a file from my PC to server's KM
Hello:
I can't Upload correctly a file from my local PC to a KM of the server.
My problem is after that I've uploaded any file from my PC to KM, sometimes when I open or download it from the KM appears blank, and when I try another way to write the file (out.write()) I've uploaded a bad file that can't be downloaded or opened it. I can't get the file Data of the file for uploading, I need to set it with the fileResource (I tried with fileResource.read(false))
I use a FileUpload in my view.

File file = new File(fileName);
FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(file);
out.write(fileElement.getFileData());
out.close();

fin.read();
Content content = new Content(fin,null, -1);
IResource newResource = folder.createResource(fileElement.getFileName(),null, content);

Can you help me?, any sugestions to solve my problem or improve my code?
Regards
Jonatan.If you have got the permission to access <b>content management</b> in portal appliction server consle,then click on content management >select the KM Repository and clik on it.Then right click on <b>folder</b>>new-->upload.After clicking the upload option one page will be open and then you can browse your local file and upload to the KM Repository.

How to allow the user to upload a file from their desktop to MII Server?
Hi,
Is there a way for the user to specify a file on their local computer to upload to the MII server for processing? We have a method that works for uploading from a shared network drive, but now the need/desire is to allow the user to upload a file from their desktop.
Ideally, this would be a file browser that the user would click on to browse their local desktop and select the file and click "Upload" but not sure what's possible?
This is using 12.1 SP4.
Thanks for the help.
