Uploading VIdeos From iPhone 4s

Hello,
The videos from my iPhone 4s are not uploading to my Mac (iPhoto or ImageMaker). Nothing has worked, and I have even checked my iPhone settings for anything that may be preventing my videos from uploading. Can someone please offer some suggestions? I have videos that I want to save to my Mac and my iPhone is almost out of space. Thank you very much!

Wow that was really quick, thank you so much. Im not sure at all which version it was because i said it was around 4 years ago he bought it. I know it isn't under his username, since he's a PC person (ugh) so i know its probably registered to one of our actual names. isn't there some way to look it up since we did register it, because I'm not even sure where the disks are from when we bought it (we've moved a lot and also have two storage lockers, i know i would have kept it with other disks) but my cd rom drive is actually broken on my computer as well ( i think it got stepped on and is now squished and won't eject or run disks.)
So is there anyway they can look up that its registered to one of our names since we did register it when we bought and installed it, or do i really have to find the disk with some sort of proof of purchase (i know there would be no receipt after all this time)
either way, ill do what you suggested to the best of my abilities and thank you so much for answering my questions, i can't even open the program as its incompatible and find out the info from that) so I'm in a bit of a pickle and your response was so thorough and it didn't seem to be posted long enough to even write a well researched response, thanks, all the best,

How do I upload videos from my iphone 6 , running 8.1.3 to my mac running yosemite 10.10.2. (I can upload all my photos via wifi from my phone but the videos will not upload to my mac.) Any ideas? I appreciate any. I am a newbie here and want to learn. Thanks

Same as with any digital camera
Open iphoto
Connect iphone
Import pics/vids
1.Open iPhoto
2.Connect your iphone 6 to Mac
3.iphoto will display your photo on iphone, just choose whatever you want to transfer.
4.Click "Import selected" on the right top. Or you can click "Import ** photos" if you want to transfer all photos from iphone to Mac.
That's it. Very simple steps to tranfer pictures from iphone to Mac.

I sold my old computer and now I want to upload my videos from the Iphone to the new MacBook . It seems impossible to do this with Itunes . Any suggestions ?

You are correct, it is impossible to do with iTunes. Moving music and videos is only one directional, from computer to iPhone/iPod, unless the music was purchased from the iTunes store. If the videos were purchased, you can use the Transfer Purchased Items link in the File menu to move the videos. Otherwise, it can't be done with iTunes.

I shot video on my iPhone, and want to get it off the phone and onto my computer.
I just discovered the iPhoto sync in iTunes, but have read that it will only sync video from iTunes to the iPhone - not the other way around.
I just can't believe that the video is stuck on the phone... Help?

Unsmooth playback uploading video from iPhone 4 to Facebook

I took a four minute video the other day in a vehicle and when I uploaded it to Facebook, it was very choppy visually. Is there a reason why it doesn't play back smoothly? I notice that not only in this particular video, but in videos I took standing still. It's not the motion in the vehicle, I'm sure, that caused this almost like skipping effect in video. The audio is smooth, but the picture is choppy, at best.

iCloud doesn't sync videos, but you could try an app like Video Stream for iCloud.

When I upload to mobileme, video gets automatically compressed. I understand it if I am on 3G, but if I am using Wifi, why can't I upload from my iphone the full size video? There is nowhere to adjust the settings to prevent compression. Any help is appreciated.

Just upgradeded iPhone 4 to to iOs7; now I can't upload my video that I shot with my iPhone to YouTube, what gives???

I've been searching for hours on this...found something that worked for me.
1) I never had a YouTube account prior to yesterday, so the only 'user id/account name' I had was the @gmail.com account So this is a brand new YouTube/gmail account, and I've never uploaded a video to YouTube.
2) I COULD log into the new iPhone YouTube app, but couldn't log in via the Photos app to upload to YouTube.
3) I did first try the 2-step authentication that other people posted, and it didn't work.
I THEN found this info on Google Groups that helped.
After doing the 2-step authentication, log into YouTube on your computer (not your iPhone) and click on Upload.
The answer from Google Groups said it would then prompt you for a Username.
It didn't for me...it did prompt me with a new window for some Google+1 settings, etc. But once I got past this window to the upload area I stopped.
I then went to my IPhone to Photos to my video to upload to YouTube. This time when I was prompted with my username/pwd... I used the same @gmail.com account plus the 2-step authentication pwd I had been trying all along.... AND THIS TIME it authenticated and logged me in!
I'm not sure if I could do the same without the 2-step authentication.
I'm guessing I just had to take the step to 'complete' my account on the website by actually getting to the Upload area????

iOS 7.1.2, huh? It MAY be having some trouble with the iOS 8.x devices and latest iCloud features. Although it meets the minimum system requirements, it does not meet the recommended ones - System requirements for iCloud - Apple Support
You should try Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support - this is generally the first step in troubleshooting, all devices - for all time

Video from iPhone to iMovie on Mac and quality issues

Task: Wanting to take video from my iPhone 5 into iMovie HD Version 6.0.3 to do some editing, trimming, transitions, etc. I have done this on many occasions but have NEVER been able to share/export the finished product with any kind of quality result. I want to upload to youtube and it never looks very good. Looks "ok" if just viewed as is, but if you click on full-screen it does not look good.
I have never liked any of the other newer versions of iMovie - old dog new tricks problem. I have versions 9.0,9 and 10.0.3 and maybe I need to use one of those to solve the problem. If so would someone please tell me should I export as .mov or .mp4 and what exact settings to use.

It seems like this should be such a simple process but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it so. I see many other videos that I know have been taken on people's phones and edited and they look great - even when shown in full screen.

Sync video from iPhone 4 to iTunes..?

I've just got my new iPhone 4 (upgraded from iPhone 2G) and it's superb!
I recorded my first video today but for the life of me I can't seem to get it to sync into iTunes. Everything else works fine.
I'm quite sure I'm missing something blindingly obvious here but does anyone have any pointers?

your computer, such as iPhoto on a Mac.
Upload photos and videos to your computer: Connect iPhone to your computer.
Â Mac: Select the photos and videos you want and click the Import or Download
button in iPhoto or other supported photo application on your computer.
Â PC: Follow the instructions that came with your photo application.
If you delete the photos and videos from iPhone when you upload them to your
computer, they’re removed from the Camera Roll album. You can use the iTunes
Photos settings pane to sync photos and videos (videos can be sync with Macs only)
to the Photos application on iPhone. See “iPhone Settings Panes in iTunes” on page 55."

You can also use Dropbox. The Dropbox app has a very cool auto-upload process that will automatically upload photos and videos from the iPad Camera Roll to Dropbox.
First sign up for a free Dropbox account from your computer.
Then, download the free Dropbox app on your iPad.
Log in to the Dropbox app on the iPad with your new account and click on the Photos icon in the lower left corner of the screen (second one from the left).
Select "Enable Camera Upload" and "Only Wi-Fi." The upload process will begin for all existing photos in the Camera Roll.
Do this on both your iPhone and iPad and you should be able to access all photos and videos from either device (or computer).
