Uploading videos from Iphoto to Facebook

I recently downloaded some pictures and video clips from my digital camera onto iPhoto. I used the Facebook exporter to post the pics onto my FB profile, but when I tried to do the same for the videos, it didn't work. Instead the videos appeared as JPEGS on my profile.
Any suggestions on how to do this? Thanks.

iPhoto does not upload videos to Facebook.
You need to upload videos to Facebook by using iMovie.

The window doesn't automatically pop up now. When you plug the card reader in, you should see a 4th option on the lower bar of the photos app. I think it says camera. Tap on that then you can see and inport your photos.
If you are still having issues, try giving your iPad a reset. Hold down the sleep and home keys until you see the silver apple. Let it reboot and try again. It won't hurt any data but can clear gliches.

Have you added your Facebook account in the "iPhoto Preferences > Accounts?  If yes, try to add it again.

  • After upgrading my OS from Snowleopard to Yosemite, I can no longer upload photos from iPhoto to Facebook.

I recently upgraded OS from Snowleopard to Yosemite and now I can't upload photos from iPhoto (v 9.6) to Facebook. Is Yosemite 10.10.1 keeping me from uploading to Facebook?

  • Why can't I upload photos from iPhoto to Facebook any more?

Since I updated to 10.9 I am not able to upload photos from iphoto (v.8.1.2) to facebook.  When I try to upload the "publish" button is not highlighted so I can not click on it.  I used to be able to upload from iphoto all the time.  Is there some setting that I have to change?

Upload directly from iPhoto. Select your photos and then select Share. iPhoto questions are best handled in the iPhoto forum of all places.

  • Uploading Videos from Incredible to Facebook???

    Hi everyone,
I know how to and am able to  upload photos from my Incredible to Facebook - but how do I (or can I even) upload videos from my Incredible to Facebook?
    Thanks!

If you are shooting videos on the phone, all you need to do is open the YouTube app and upload them to your YouTube account, then post the link in Facebook. You'll need to make sure to enable your YouTube account to accept mobile uploads first.
If you don't like the openess of YouTube, then you can send them to Facebook via email.
How do I upload mobile photos/notes/videos from my phone?
You can use your personalized upload email address to email a photo/video from your mobile phone. The uploaded content will then appear in your Mobile Uploads album. Since this is your personal email address, which will send content directly onto your Facebook account, be sure not to share it with anyone else.
The email subject will be used as the caption of your photo or video, or your updated status if your email contains no photo or video. Note that photos and videos uploaded via email are visible to everyone by default, but you can change the privacy setting of any photo album by going to your Photos page and clicking "Album Privacy."
To see what your personalized upload email is, be sure you are logged into your account, then go to the Facebook Mobile page.

  • My MacBook froze whilst uploading photos from iPhoto to Facebook and now the album is empty. Any way to find my lost snaps?

I Was trying to upload photos, in an album, from iPhoto to Facebook on my MacBook. It crashed and I had to do a hard reboot. When I we t back into iPhoto my oictures had gone. Is there  any way to find them.

Do you have a back up?
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

  • How can I upload photos from IPhoto to Facebook?

How do I upload photos from IPhoto into my Facebook account?

I am unable to upload photos to Facebook on my iPad Air and my iPhone 5s since I updated my devices to iO/S8. I hope Apple comes up with a fix pretty soon. I love iPhoto and would not like to resort to using something like Amizon Cloud Drive. Not unless I had to because iPhoto is not working with Facebook..

  • 5th Gen Nano and uploading videos from iPhoto

I have some videos in iPhoto that I want to upload to my Nano. I go to Photos in iTunes and upload the proper photo library with the videos, I have the" include videos" checked and "enable disk use" checked. Where on the Nano are these videos?
    Thanks.

    Hello Michael,
"Your recorded video content will be in your DCIM folder. Select the desired clip and click the Import button to import into iMovie."
This step can be found in this Apple support document explaining how to import video from your Nano to your Mac.

  • Cannot upload photo from iphoto to facebook on notebook

I have a new Macbook Pro. When signed into Facebook and wanting to upload a photo I am having problems. When I select upload and pick iphoto the application will not open. Any ideas?

Sharing to Facebook directly from iPhoto does not work well right now.
See this fix posted by LarryHN:

If the above does not work, export your photos from iPhoto and then upload them from the Desktop using Facebooks uploader.

  • Uploading albums from iPhoto to Facebook isn't working

I used to be able to upload an album from iPhoto on my mac to Facebook, now this doesn't work.
I used to be able to select the album, click on the Facebook icon, select who can see my photos, then click publish, but publish is now greyed out. Why.
Also, when I click on the existing Facebook Albums in iPhoto, I get an error message saying the log in details need updating, but it doesn't point me in the direction of where I can update this information.
    How can I resolve this?
    Thanks
    Regards
    Robert

Have this problem too with Lightroom! The sudden spike in views for this post would suggest that it's only a recent thing. Have you notified Facebook of this?

  • I'm having trouble uploading photos from iPhoto to Facebook.

I keep getting an error message. It doesn't matter if it's a photo from my iPhone or from my camera.

What are the size of the files you're uploading, how many at a time and how are you getting them from iPhoto to the upload window?  And what do you mean by extremely slow?

  • Why do I receive an error message while attempting upload pictures from iPhoto '09 to Facebook?

I currently have iPhoto '09 version 8.1.2. I tried uploading pictures from iPhoto to Facebook but I get the message "An error has occured. Please try again later". File > Export > Login (which brings me to the Login page on Facebook) > I sign in & that's when I get the message. I've even tried hitting the Facebook tab on the bottom right. Does anyone have any solutions to my problem? I'll greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
