Upon install the new version of Firefox with AOL, a dialog box comes up with no words and firefox is unresponsive
As I try to close, a dialog box suggests that Firefox is waiting for a response. This problem started happening when you added AOL to the install. I already use AOL and I assume there is some sort of conflict. I want a Firefox without AOL. That will likely solve my problem.
I think it is a problem with an AOL add-on.Could you try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode as a test, and also see whether it can be removed there?

* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

Do I need to uninstall the old Firefox before installing the new version?
I really don't have any problems with Firefox, just trying to find out if it is necessary to uninstall Firefox 4, before installing the new version?
no, in fact, it's better to update it instead of installing the new one separately so that you don't loose your bookmarks and such.
To update, open firefox and go to Help and chose About Firefox. you should see an update button there. -
'm having a problem with downloading and installing the new version of itunes for windows (11.1.4) I have done everything the troubleshooting article has said and it is still not working properly. Since I'd installed the new version of iTunes, iCal and Address book do not sync with my iPhone 3GS through iTunes anymore and I get an error message stating that iTunes can not sync with this iPhone. Was must i do to correct this issue and if i must, how dI reintall iTunes without loosing my content?

i tried to install the newest version of firefox but i couldn't. when i drag the firefox item to the application folder it asks me if i want to replace the previous version, and i click on REPLACE. After doing that i says that operation cannot be completed because i do not have some permissions to do that.

New computer with lightroom 5.7 installed old computer has 3.6 installed.The new version has a conflict when trying to read the external harddrives.Old sees it as drive (I) but new sees it as drive(E).When I try to rename external drive it comes up as LaCie (E) (I) so I cannot get it to change the name for lightroom to read it with all the previous edits-please help all advice appreciated.

If Safari does not display pdf forms in the browser window, uninstall all older versions of Adobe Reader and download the most recent one. First close Safari and then install Reader. I have OX S yosemite, I unistalled adobe acrobat, I closed safary and I installed the new version of adobe acrobat
but when I open a web page that I need to allow me to display and modify PDF files it is not working.

I installed the new version of iTunes today. It's 12.1.1. After completing the installation, including restarting my computer, I was no longer able to use Windows Internet Explorer. Has anybody else experienced this? If so, how did you fix Explorer? I was using Explorer 11 and Windows 7, installed on an HP Pavilion g series
Never heard of that being caused by installing iTunes. Try asking on a Windows forum. This isn't a problem with iTunes or any other Apple product. If you believe it is, uninstall iTunes. If the problem persists, you'll have to seek advice on a Windows forum or contact Microsoft for support.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
I have an academic version of Final Cut Studio on my laptop and recently purchased the most recent Full version of Final Cut Studio. Do I need to uninstall the academic version before installing the new version? I ask because this is not an upgrade, but a completely new version.
I'm with Jim on this. It always seems to work out better if you do not install over another version. You can use this app (freeware - thanks to Jon Chappel) to completely remove ALL Final Cut Studio apps and components: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/
Once that's done, install your newly purchased version.
