Upon updating an app, an unrecognized email address pops up.

Today when trying to update an app (twitter) in the mac app store, an unrecognized email address was entered in the apple id space.
When I try to change it and add my id and pass, I get error 4 and nothing will happen. other aspects of the appstore seem to work
Am I haked?
My other computers work fine.

Probably not you but an email account is a possibility. Contact the iTunes support staff and see if hey can straighten out your account. Try http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact

This is happening because they were purchased with your older Apple ID. Apps and there updates are permanently tied to the Apple ID used to purchase them, regardless of the ID on your phone in Settings>Store. The only way to stop the prompt for your older ID would be to delete these apps from your phone.

1-If the apps you just downloaded before are free, you can delete them and install again (that will update).
2-Some people use outlook now, so if you are refering to "hotmail" you can still using it. Just remember your password you had in that time, or renew it here https://iforgot.apple.com/iForgot/iForgot.html and go to outlook.com, that will show a folder in the sidebar called "POP" that's your previous e-mail.

Trying to update my app store and it keeps popping up my old email address. How can you change it to your current one? Im trying to sign in but my old one pops up and even when I type in the correct password for the old one it. Says invalid but I want my current email!? HELPPP!!

Did you update your old iTunes account or create a new one ? If you updated the old one then try logging out of your account by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on the iPad. If you created a new account then you will need to continue to use the old account to download updates to its apps (or to redownload its content) - content is tied to the account that bought/downloaded it and it can't be transferred to a different account.

That indicates that you have apps that need updating that were purchased with the account that comes up. When you have apps that need updating that were purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until all the remaining apps were purchased by one account.
You have to log into the account that purchased an app in order to update it.

As with the Mail app on a Mac, the iPhone's Mail app stores all email recipients in a list of previous recipients which is separate from the address book or contacts. The email address autofill feature when addressing an message pulls from Contacts and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients with iOS on an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to the address book or contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the list of previous recipients at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup, which will start being re-populated again with every sent message.

Need help with changing an email address, I have tried everything.
I have an app with an update notification but i cant change the email address....

Now, that is odd, at home we download content bought by different accounts, (my kids' wife, and myself) whe I delete something that was not bought with my account, is over, no more update alerts nor anything like it.
Perhaps, if you backup your iPod in iTunes and Reset, Update and restore might fix the problem.
Under the apps tab, scroll down until you find the one in question and uncheck it, so it will not be installed again.

Can't Update Apps After Changing Email Address

Recently, I changed my Apple ID from my Yahoo! Email to MobileMe. Now every time I try to update my Apps in iTunes or the Mac App Store, I can't update the ones that I bought when I used my Yahoo! Email address. I can still download the updates if I sign in with my Yahoo! account, but that gets annoying.

To answer you Oh yes I waited.... in fact almost 3 hours and it should not take that long..... I actually ended up restoring it and starting all over again. Seemed to work! We will see....

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID. You need to revive the old Apple ID by changing the email address associated with it;

Dreamweaver CC - In App Next to Email Address, Apply Updates?

I'm working in Dreamweaver CC on Mac OS X Yosemite and when I go to Dreamweaver ->email address ->Apply Updates is there. Does this mean I need to apply the updates to the program? I thought that was accomplished when the "Cloud" icon on the desktop stated there was an update. Am I wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Finally figured this one out.
It happens when oracle.install.db.config.starterdb.type is set to TRANSACTION_PROCESSING.
Apparently "TRANSACTION_PROCESSING" and "GENERAL_PURPOSE/TRANSACTION_PROCESSING" are not valid types, even though the response template file and the response file generated via OUI list the following:

My original account details I put in the wrong (non existent) email address.
Problem is appears I have since already setup a new account with new email address from my iphone.
Now verification emails are being sent to non existnet email address and I can't change itunes account on laptop.

I'm having trouble setting up my Google Apps for Education email address in the mail app

I have tried several times and different ways to add my .edu email account to the iOs system through the mail app on both my mac and my iphone. It is run through Google apps for education, so it uses gmail as a platform but is addressed as my school's title. On a few occasions it wouldn't accept it to add, on others it connected but wouldn't access the email account once it was added.

The approaches available may differ depending upon which operating system you have. I am running OS 10.8.4 and on my computer, the following works:
Go to System Preferences and select Mail, Contacts, & Calendars.
From the right, choose Gmail; this should open an dialogue box, where you should enter:
Your name (as you wish it to appear)
Email address (should include the @whatever.edu, where whatever is the appropriate university extension--it should be .edu, not gmail.com)
The password on the account.
Choose the applications you want to sync with your computer and click Add Account. You will probably get an error about Mail Server Discovery, but click Continue anyway.
Launch your Mail application and it should have you setup your account. Choose/enter the following:
Account type: IMAP
Title Description: (put whatever you want the account titled, it's up to you)
Incoming Mail Server: type in imap.gmail.com
User Name: put your full email username, including the @whatever.edu
Password: put your email password again
Configure the outgoing mail server with:
Description: whatever you want it called
Outgoing Mail server: type in smtp.gmail.com
Check the option Use Authentication
Username: type your full username, including the @whatever.edu
Enter your password and click Continue and then Create.
That should be it.

Upon updating an app, an unrecognized email address pops up.
