Upper & Lower Fields visable on playback on TV
I've checked my seq. settings to make sure my captured footage match my seq. I even reviewed the info on each .mov file. The problem is when I playback my footage I can see the upper and lower field when ever someone moves. The fields are not just small little rough edges but long narrow lines. I tried running the footage down to DVD and playing it on my DVD Player, same thing. The footage was shot by someone else and has timecode brakes and freezes on some clips so I'm thinking that the head were dirty?
Thank you,
Brian
I don't know if it will make it better, but maybe you can try the Video Filters > Video > Flicker Filter. I've had a problem that looks a lot like yours and this filter solved it a lot (but not completely).

I am having a little problem since I am new to Premiere pro.
Until now I always used the warp stabilizer in After Effects for single shots in need of that. But this time, I was handed a project that requires a whole lot of stabilization. My plan is to drop the whole timeline (FCP 7/ProRes422 HQ Interlaced) via XML into Premiere Pro and apply the effect there to multiple clips.
PROBLEM: When I do this, the warp stabilizer always (no matter how I interpret the footage or set the sequence) analyzes the footage progressively. At least that is what the effect preferences tab says during analysis.
In After Effects I always see which field is beeing analyzed (it is indicated by a L and an U behind the frame count). Not so in Premiere Pro. Here it always seems to analyze full frames.
I made a test and compared the results from After Effects and Premiere Pro: The file generated in Premiere Pro is much softer then the one out of After Effects even though I export both with the same output settings.
Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Regards, franseI just verified and the Description for Products (and possibly other objects too) are stored in table COMM_PRSHTEXT.
The relevant Data element is COMT_PRSHTEXTX which has the domain PRSHTEXT40.
If you look at this domain you have a parameter "lowercase" which is available as a flag option.
<u><b>The explanation about this Flag is the following:</b></u>
Lowercase letters allowed/not allowed
If this flag is set, upper case and lower case are distinguished when you enter values with screen masks.
Otherwise all the letters entered will be converted to upper case when you enter values with a screen mask.
This mechansim is in effect for all the fields referring to this domain.
<b>Solution would be</b> to verify if for this data-element the same Domain is used.
If yes, you can flag this option in the domain.
this should solve your problem.

Upper Lower Case for Input Fields of ALV
Hi,
i have an ALV has some input fields columns. All values of input fields are upper case after entering something into that input fields (etc. airline -> AIRLINE).
how to add upper lower case control to ALV? (etc. airline -> airline, AIRLINE -> AIRLINE)
Thanks.Dear Narullah,
The elements of your table consists of data types you can maintain in the SE11.
The data type are based on a domain which you can maintain in SE11 as well.
Just go to SE11 and check the domain which is behind the table field. On the tab "Definition" of the domain just checkmark "Lower Case". Afterwards the system does not translate your input to upper case automatically.
If you use a SAP domain, you need to copy it to customer namespace, set the lower case flag, create a new data type based on your own domain and use it in the structure of your internal table.
Does this help?

*** Upper or lower fields?
I'm working with HDV footage which I know is meant to be set at upper fields, while DV is lower fields. I'm trying to output my HDV footage to DVD by dropping it into a 16:9 DV sequence and rendering it. My question is, because I'm now going to DV, should I change the field order to lower or leave it as upper?
On a side note, I've already sent my HDV footage to DVD another way and have had pretty good results. I went from my HDV sequence > Compressor > 90 min best setting 16:9. The footage looks really good but by eyes seem to be telling me that there is a slight bluriness. Doesn't look bad at all, just quite different. In trying to get the best DVD possible, I'm going to try the DV sequence > render > compressor > DVD method....
Back to the original question. Does anyone know what I should do about the field order?Anyone?

Progressive Field Dominance vs Lower Field Dominance
I am putting a project together in FCP 5.1.4 Most assets are NTSC QT clips with lower field dominance. I have some PAL assets with Progressive field dominance. I am using a slow-PAL conversion method outlined here:
http://www.macworld.com/article/49306/2006/02/marchcreat.html
I just want to make sure my workflow is appropriate.
If I use Cinema Tools to convert frame rate to 23.98 and then Compressor to change aspect ratio, and finally FCP to add frames back in to arrive at 29.97 NTSC . . .
DO I NEED TO change the progressive field dominance to lower field dominance at ay point?
I will ultimately be outputting to DVD which may be viewed on either computer or video monitor.From my rudimentary knowledge I believe that as opposed to upper or lower field dominance, the source asset was recorded as "progressive scan", which I assume means NO field dominance.
What I do not understand is, if I import assets into a FCP sequence that has a lower field dominance, then what happens to these assets in the timeline when I export them out of FCP to either mpeg2 for inclusion in a DVDStudioPro. Or as a compressed quicktime for a streaming video on the web.
I am concerned that progressive scan assets mixed with lower field dominance may cause weird interlacing artifacts when I ultimately playback the end project.
Don't know whether I'm overthinking this, but want to avoid hours of work in the wrong direction.

Internal Order match-code fail becuase Upper-Lower case
Hi
I'need to search Internal Order using a piece of teh Order description.
Unfortunately the description COAS-KTEXT is case sensitive, and the Order is not found if Upper/lower case rules are not respected. I Have create a new Z match-code, bust this has the same problem.
Any Idea to solcve thsi issue ???
Thanks for your help.
ClaudioHello
pls check OSS note 75233, is decribed the solucion you are looking for.
Solution
Check whether an F4 search for short text is required.
You must then either allow for the fact that the selection criteria "short text" is case-sensitive, or you can change all the short text to uppercase. This change is then effective during all displays and entries of the short text for the order and cannot be reversed. Any information which is provided in lowercase letters is then lost.
You should also consider creating an index for the field AUFK-KTEXT.
If you want to change to uppercase letters, proceed as follows:
1. Modify the table AUFK. The field KTEXT requires another data element with a domain in which the flag "lowercase letters" is not marked. The most effective solution is to copy the data element and the domains and in addition to the descriptions, change only flag "lowercase letters"
This change means that for overhead cost orders (transactions KO01, KO02) only short text in uppercase letters can be recorded.
2. To change the already existing database entries to uppercase letters run report RDOTXT2U which is contained in the standard program and the current version of which is shown below. Please read the documentation for this report. -
A upper/lower sensitive problem on RFC call
hello, everyone.
Maybe it is not the proper forum to discuss this topic, but I think the ABAP programinig Forum is the best forum in SDN, which has the most vistors.
So please help me solve this problem, if possible.
I meet a problem on RFC call through dotnet connector.
There is a RFC deploy on the R3 server.
And a portal application using dotnet connector to call the RFC from web side.
The problem is when input some string like 'AbCdEf' from web side, transfer to the sap side, the RFC always get the string like 'ABCDEF'.
I think it dues to the auto upper convert by the RFC call, and if in SE37, we can check the upper/lower box to solve it.
But how can I solve it in this portal case?
Can I get original string in the RFC side?
How we can get the string as the original content 'AbCdEf' in RFC side?
any suggestion is welcome,
and I'm waitting for your answer, thanks a lotHi zhenglin,
To expand on what Siggi said, fields in the structures of your RFC parameters are based on data elements which in turn are based on domains.
An attribute on the domain is "Lowercase'. Unless this is checked, the field will always be treated as uppercase, and you will get the effect you described.
Please check the domain of the field in question, to ensure that the "lowercase" flag is checked.
Cheers,

Black lower field in .avi when converting to any format
Dear Masters out there:
Trying to convert old .avi-clips that plays taller than wider in Windows Player (Parallels)for some reason, but when trying to convert (tried them all: Prism, MPEG Streamclip, Handbrake, FlipMac, etc...) to Mp4 (or rather: to an FCE-compatible sequence) the video plays upper field but is black lower field? I´m sure this is just me not thinking straight, but it has been a few days now... Please explain the solution to me like I was a six year old. I´m really eight!

Generic delta - upper & lower limits
Can someone explain the upper & lower limits in generic delta for all the 3 delta-fields - time-stamp, calday & num.pointer with examples?
Points guaranteed for clear illustrations.
Regards,
R.RaviRavi,
The detailed illustration has given below for all the delta mechanisms in Generic in a simpler way to understand... Please go through....
1. If delta field is Date (Record Create Date or change date), then use Upper Limit of 1 day. This will load Delta in BW as of yesterday. Leave Lower limit blank.
2. If delta field is Time Stamp, then use Upper Limit of equal to 1800 Seconds (30 minutes). This will load Delta in BW as of 30 minutes old. Leave Lower limit blank.
3. If delta field is a Numeric Pointer i.e. generated record # like in GLPCA table, then use Lower Limit. Use count 10-100. Leave upper limit blank. If value 10 is used then last 10 records will be loaded again. If a record is created when load was running, those records may get lost. To prevent this situation, lower limit can be used to backup the starting sequence number. This may result in some records being processed more than once.

Seen this question before but no answer, how can I change my email address from all caps into a more proper upper-lower style.
You should be able to change your e-mail address from your provider ... then edit it to meet the Apple requirements. Unfortunately you've given us no profile details so we can't tell what device you have.

23.98 fps advanced pulldown removel with lower field dominance??
When ever I have captured 24p advanced material shot on a DVX100B, I have always used Final Cut Pro 5's advanced pulldown removel easy set up (2:3:3:2). I haven't run into any issues until now. When I try to capture 24p advanced material, for some reason Final Cut sets my field dominance as lower (even). I made sure I was using the capture pre-set for advanced pulldown removel (23.98) and I was. Is there any way to fix this? I tried trashing my preferences but that didn't help. This is progressive scan material so in the past Final Cut Pro has always set it to field dominance as "none". Also, because my 24pa material is having a lower field dominance and as 29.97fps, I have to render in my 24pa sequence which I have never had to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I'm using OSX 10.4.8 (the OS choice drop down menu hasn't been updated)
Update: I tried capturing a short clip (about 30 seconds) and it worked fine, but when I try capturing my clip, which is about 10 mins, I get it capured at 29.97 with lower field dominance.Anyone ?

How to search for upper/lower case using string using JAVA!!!?
-I am trying to write a program that will examine each letter in the string and count how many time the upper-case letter 'E' appears, and how many times the lower-case letter 'e' appears.
-I also have to use a JOptionPane.showMessageDialog() to tell the user how many upper and lower case e's were in the string.
-This will be repeated until the user types the word "Stop".
please help if you can
what i have so far:
public class Project0 {
public static void main(String[] args) {
String[] uppercase = {'E'};
String[] lowercase = {'e'};
String isOrIsNot, inputWord;
while (true) {
// This line asks the user for input by popping out a single window
// with text input
inputWord = JOptionPane.showInputDialog(null, "Please enter a sentence");
if ( inputWord.equals("stop") )
System.exit(0);
// if the inputWord is contained within uppercase or
// lowercase return true
if (wordIsThere(inputWord, lowercase))
isOrIsNot = "Number of lower case e's: ";
if (wordIsThere(inputword, uppercase))
isOrIsNot = "number of upper case e's: ";
// Output to a JOptionPane window whether the word is on the list or not
JOptionPane.showMessageDialog(null, "The word " + inputWord + " " + isOrIsNot + " on the list.");
} //main
public static boolean wordIsThere(String findMe, String[] theList) {
for (int i=0; i<theList.length; ++i) {
if (findMe.equals(theList[i])) return true;
return false;
} // wordIsThere
} // class Lab4Program1
So what is your question? Do you get any errors? If so, post them. What doesn't work?

Define upper/lower limits for shipment cost condition
Hi people, help please!
How can I define upper/lower limit for shipment cost conditions?.
The transaction TK11 has the functionality for upper/lower limits, but I can't find how to define it in customizing.
I follow the path Logistic Execution>Transportation>Pricing>Pricing Control>Define Condition Types, but is not like the transaction for pricing elements in condition types for sales.
How can I do it?
Regards.The problem is on the class condition import limits.
I cant customize upper and lower prices for the shipment cost class condition and i cant find how define it or what else can I do.
The customizing transaction for shipment cost lass condition is not like sales price class condition, please look this:
For the shipment cost class condition follow the path SPRO>Logistic Execution>Transportation>Shipment Cost>Pricing>Pricing Control>Define Condition Types.
For the sales price class condition follow the path SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic Function>Pricing>Pricing Control>Define Condition Types, and take a look in Define upper/lower limits for conditions.
So then, when I go to functional transaction VK11 for the sales price condition y cant assign an import out of the limits defined. I need the same for shipment cost condition, transaction TK11, but I cant find where define the limits, as result, user can load any import without limits.
I hope the explanation is useful.
