UPS shipping labels do not print correct size, there is no option to change, went onto Windows Explorer, printed correct please see if there is a fix on the updated version of Firefox

the label and direction only print on a half sheet, the label itself should be almost half a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11

You will likely have to delete the Firefox program folder to recover from this XPCOM issue.
You can uninstall your current Firefox version to avoid issues with the registry.
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
*Download the full Firefox installer and save the file to the desktop<br>https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
*(32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
*(64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
*It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.

  • Why does it say that the updated version of Firefox (which I am trying to download) is not compatible with my operating system when I have Mac OS X 10.5.8?

Why does it say that the updated version of Firefox (which I am trying to download) is not compatible with my operating system when I have Mac OS X 10.5.8? I had an older version of Firefox and it said I needed to update it but that was the message that appeared.

Sorry, it's because Firefox 4+ are only compiled for the Intel processors.
There is a separate project for PPC Macs called Ten Four Fox. You might give it a spin when you're tired of 3.6.

The main Protection is still active because it scan traffic product regardless.the addon are just shortcut of few things like Virtual Keyboard, Url Banner etc. But doesnot get you '''more''' protection. If your Antivirus say green and your web component is enable then all is good. You are protected. :)

  • Why do I get the message "The item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permissions." after having installed the updated version of Firefox, and the program won't start?

I have tried to install the updated version several times, and each time I get the same message. I have never experienced this kind of a problem with Mozilla before.
I have a Windows 7 system and a new computer, so I suppose it's not a computer bug.

    Here is a pic.

  • I am getting an error that says there is a proxy connection that is unsupported. I have no proxy connection. It happened after I downloaded the new version of firefox.

I downloaded the new version of Firefox. When it was finished installing, I pulled up a new browser. It said something along the lines of "proxy connection error" with nothing other than "try again". I restored the computer to the previous day to counteract the download, and now firefox will not open at all.
It is a HP G600, Vista.

    Check the connection settings.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection > Settings
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Options+window+-+Advanced+panel
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

  • Firefox updated automatically while internet was disconnected, and now it is showing that I have the updated version of Firefox. What should I do?

I started Firefox while the internet was disconnected. But before opening, Firefox updated automatically, not notifying me that I was disconnected. It now shows that I have the most updated version of Firefox. What should I do?
Operating System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

It will have downloaded the update whilst you were connected, and the next time you started Firefox it will have installed the update whether you were connected or not.

  • How do I get the updated version of Firefox 3.6.19 to open up in Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 as it keeps opening in 3.6.17 and upgrading when in KIS 2011 elicits error messages?

My issue is with updating Firefox in KIS 2011 safe run mode. I recently upgraded my Firefox web browser OUTSIDE OF KIS SAFE RUN MODE to Firefox 3.16.19. When I clicked on KIS safe run mode I expected the upgrade to take effect. This was not the case (still version 3.6.17).
I then tried to upgrade the Firefox browser IN KIS SAFE RUN Mode and received the following error messages "software update failed" or "the update could not be installed please make sure their are no other copies of Firefox running on your system and try again."
I thought if I killed the Firefox process outside of KIS safe run and ran it as an administrator it might work- it didn't - just opened 3.6.19 outside of safe run mode. I then tried to update manually when in safe run mode and received a side-by-side configuration error. I am a basic computer user not a techie and could use some help that hopefully isn't to complicated for me to enact!
    Thanks in advance

  • I am having trouble installing the updated version of Firefox on system.

I am running Firefox 33.1 & I am getting a message advising "Update failed."
When I attempt to download the latest version, it hangs (for as long as 8 to 10+ hours) and does nothing.
Following a system failure, I was able to recover my Favorites (from a back up that I had (prior to the system crash.))

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause
Firefox issues. '''Disable All of them.'''
    '''[http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/ Download Firefox Full Installer For All languages And Systems]''' {web link}
    Save the file. Then;
Using your file browser, open the '''Programs''' folder on your computer.
    '''Windows:''' C:\Program Files
    C:\Program Files (x86)
    '''Mac:''' Open the "Applications" folder.
    '''Linux:''' Check your user manual.
Look for, and rename any Mozilla and Firefox folders by adding '''.old''' to them.
    Now run the full installer.
If all goes well, remove the OLD folders when you are done.

  • The font in my hotmail inbox is so small I can hardly see it. This just happened with the newer version of Firefox. The font in internet explorer is fine. Can you help me enlarge it?

I have looked in the Options tab for an answer, but there is no way now to enlarge the font. Changing an individual email that I am typing isn't a problem, I know how to do that. but my inbox emails are in about size 5 font. Any suggestions?

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems: <b>View > Zoom > Reset</b> (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
You can use one of these extensions to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    *NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/

  • The new version is not compatible with my digital finger signiture. Will this be fixed? If not, I will need to go back to the previous version of firefox

My HP laptop has a digital signature for accessing my pages such as email, facebook, etc. Since I updated firefox, this is no longer compatible and does not work. It is very painful, I really want and need to use it. Does this mean I need to downgrade to the previous version of firefox?

EgisTec, who now provide the HP Simplepass application, have made an update of the scanner software for Firefox 4, for details see https://support.mozilla.com/questions/814397

  • Since the last update (version 12), Firefox takes a lot of time to open new tabs, usually it open them, but i can't see the tabs and browse through them

it also ignore my mouse clicks on tabs.
i can browse them only by ctrl+Tab (but i see only the first tab on the tab bar...)

hello, in order to further diagnose the issue please [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|run firefox in safemode once]] & see if the problem is occuring there too. if not it may be related to one of your addons or hardware acceleration. in this case try disabling all extensions in tools > addons > extension, restart firefox and reenable the extensions one-by-one (restarts of the browser might be necessary after each time) until you find the one that's causing it. you can disable hardware acceleration in tools > options > advanced > general.
if the two suggestions from above don't help, please also have a look at your security-software & make sure it's not blocking/sandboxing the updated version of firefox or the plugin-container...

  • How do I uninstall Firefox 4? I want the previous version of Firefox. I hate Firefox 4 and regret having updated because it is not working correctly on my Mac OS X 10.5.8.

    I can't view fullscreen videos.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com

  • Apparently the latest version of Firefox does not respond to the Mac's trackpad ability to use fingers to enlarge and reduce the size of whatever it is I'm looking at. Why?

I'm using a MacBook Pro (OS 10.6.7) and appreciate the ability to enlarge and reduce web pages by using a two-finger "spread" on the trackpad. Since installing 4.0.1, it seems I can no longer do this.
The previous version of Firefox allowed this.
Why? It's lots more convenient that using "command plus the + key".
Does this mean I go back to Safari?
    Thanks!

  • Before I downloaded the latest version of Firefox I could us the Norton Idnetity Safe. It will not work with the new version. What do I have to do to make it work?

I am not sure if this is a plugin or extension. All I know is that it worked with the old version of Firefox. It is very important to me to be able to use this feature. Any help would be appreciated.

THIS ISSUE IS RESOLVED FOR ME.
When I opened this pop-up to view the settings (File > Page Setup > "Format & Options": Scale ), the Scale value was 40%. Changing it to 100% corrected the issue I observed.
To my knowledge, I have not been inside this pop-up window before to set the Scale option. Could this value be affected by other actions within Firefox? I noticed this while using v12 which was installed 24Apr2012.I know it worked correctly since that installation, so why did the Scale value change?
UPDATE: I just realized that the Scale option in print preview sets the Scale value in the settings. NOTE TO ALL: This is a sticky setting, not just a setting for a specific output request.
