URGENT--AppleCare Question--HELP!

If I purchase a MP with a 30" display (with AppleCare covering both items), what happens if I sell the MP or the display???

I called Apple about this before I bought my newest machine.
What they told me was ...
- Yes you can tranfer the Applecare by contacting Apple and setting it up.
- However if you only sell one item (or sell both to different people) you have to pick which ONE the Applecare goes with. You can not "split" the Applecare.
So if you sell the display but keep the machine, you have to pick whether the Applecare stays with you and the machine, OR you transfer it to the new owner of the display.
To help you out, I will give you $150 for the 30" display but you can keep the Applecare with you. That way you won't have to worrie about it.

AppleCare question. Please help, by answering

I'm eligible for AppleCare until August 11. My mid 2009 2.53GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro has a small indent on the left, top of the display. It works fine. I bought it from my brother earlier this month and he has always had an incase hardshell on it. He also told me that, that dent was there when he took it out of the box. My question is, should I get AppleCare since they will probably consider it as an accidental damage? And since there is a small dent, shouldn't it cover other things like the hard drive, motherboard etc.??? What do you guys suggest for me to do?

I think your brother should have brought it back where he bought it right away. In as much as that's gone I would have it checked out by an Apple store. Have them give it their good graces and then get ask them the AppleCare question. When it comes down to it, it's their decision for the next two years.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Applecare questions

I recently bought a Macbook online as a gift for a family member (had it shipped to them) and bought the Applecare as well. They've received the Macbook (great machine btw), but there are two things we're confused about with applecare:
-The Applecare when ordered online is auto-enrolled, from what I understand. Yet if we go to www.apple.com/support and enter the Macbook's serial number in the "About Your Support Coverage" form, it states we only have a year of warranty left and asks us to buy Applecare. Do we need to register for applecare or something? We didn't receive a boxed copy of applecare, which is why I thought the enrollment was automatic.
-Since I bought the machine but it was for a family member, does that mean the Applecare auto-enrollment is in my name? Is that a problem? Can it be changed?

If I were you, I would give AppleCare Support a call. They can check on your account directly. When you call, there are several different options and one of them is specifically for AppleCare questions and not regular technical support. Select this option and they can help you directly. If, for some reason, your enrollment did not go through as expected, they can fix it for you. The auto-enrollment should appear on the support page when you put the serial number in no matter who bought the computer or who it was shipped to.

message,I know that sp2 have slove the bugs.but I just

This sounds like the symptoms that I am currently suffering,
under Weblogic 6.1 SP2.
My situation is that I have processes on several "satellite"
Weblogic servers that all subscribe to the same set of several
JMS Topics published by a "central" Weblogic server. The servers
are all using Weblogic 6.1 SP2 (non-clustered). It appears that
only one of the subscribing "satellite" servers receives the
messages published. After a couple of experiments, it appears
that the first "satellite" server to register with the Topics is
the one that receives the messages, even if that "satellite"
server is restarted, until such time as the "central" server is restarted.
It appears from Eric's message that there is a patch for this.
How do I go about getting a copy of the patch? Or is my problem
different?

You are loading the driver classes ok. But is that the appropriate driver for youir database?
I know Oracle is phasing out the .zip version classes12.zip, but have tried them
here the possible drivers
ojdbc14.jar Oracle 9. and higher and jk1.4 and higher

I was trying to test opaque font (the string has a foreground color and a background color), but i can't find the method for doing that.
i can change foreground by Graphics2D.setPaint(Color.black).
Anybody know how to change the background of the string?

Hi. The way I'd do it would be to use the font metrics to find the length of a string and draw a rectangle and then drawstring over the rectangle. If you want an example, I can post it although I suspect theres a better way.

If you have a rescue email address set up on your account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Security' and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within, I think, about 24 to 48 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

Applecare Question having a damaged speaker.

I just got my iMac back from the Applecare people, for having a damaged speaker. Is there a number of times I can keep sending my iMac in for repairs? Or a limit in between?
