Urgent : Can BPEL humantask link up with Oracle roles & responsibilities?

Hi,
We are designing a bpel human task workflow for an approval process for an Oracke application. The requirement is such that the approval responsibility in the current system is available to only certain users and the list of these approvers keeps changing. Is there a way to link up the bpel humantask workflow with the oracle roles & responsibilities so that the bpel processwoul send email notifications only to those people who have the aaproval responsibility?? I havent been able to find any documentation on this.All documents just mention that the approvers list is picked up from LDAP or OID. We do have OID as well as Oracle HR installed but Im not sure how to sync the data between the fnd_user having a specific role & responsibility to the OID data.
I think this would be the most common scenario for most people and Im sure there should be a way to link the fnd_user in Oracle apps to the OID --does anyone have any information on this? We need to finalize the design asap and any pointers will be very helpful for me.

Theoretically you should be able to delete the default partition... The errors in the log don't look related to that anyway...
It seems like you have soa and bpm on the same server... You may try to untarget bpm* from soa_server...
Other than that... You probably have to start thinking in recreate your domain (or restore from backup)...

That is right you need atleast 2 boxes. The two servers will use the same hard disks.
The concept is an extension of OPS(Oracle Parallel Server).
Basically, you install Oracle Server Software on both the boxes, One database will be shared by both the servers. You can access your database through the Server1 or Server2. If Server1 fails then the Server2 will take over all the connections. You can add or remove any servers to and from the cluster any time you want with out impacting your production.
They share load, reliable, scalable....

How i can associate my app user with database role

In my application (oracle forms application developed in-house - We are using Oracle Forms 11gR2 with WebLogic 10.3.5 ), i want to use "application user" instead of database user.
I have an application users table, actually, i have database users,and of course, menu application works with database roles (It was developed with oracle forms menu module), my question is, How i can associate my application user with database role, for reusing oracle forms menu funcionality?. It's possible?

You can do this by assigning the role functionality to the application user. For example
create the table to enter user name.
create table to enter group name.
create table to assign user to group.
assign role to group.
assign functionality for the user by coding.

Can't compile PHP5.2 with Oracle ORA support, please help!

first post on here - hope someone can assist.
I am compiling PHP 5.2 on RedHat Enterprise 4 AS intel 64bit with oracle ORA and LDAP support compiled in. I am using Apache 2.0.52-28 installed from RedHat RPMs.
I am using the following configure line:
./configure with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd/conf with-oracle=/export/oracle/pegasus/product/9.2.0 with-ldap=/usr enable-sigchild enable-libgcc
The only oracle related messages I have found during the configuration are:
checking for Oracle (OCI8) support... no
checking Oracle OCI support for PDO... no
However I am told these are newer methods of Oracle communication protocols and not related to what I am trying to achieve.
After building and installing PHP 5.2, reconfiguring apache httpd.conf and restarting httpd I find that the output of phpinfo.php shows no mention of oracle whatsoever apart from the Configure Command section at the beginning confirming that yes, --with-oracle= was specified.
I have tried setting ORACLE_HOME=/export/oracle/pegasus/product/9.2.0 environment variable before running ./configure but to no avail.
I have also tried adding various Oracle environment variables to my startup scripts for Apache, also to no avail.
Any ideas? I am really under the pump to get this sorted as it is for a new production server here and I am limited timewise to get it up and running.

I have php 5.2 installed on a RH 64 bits so our configurations are almost the same (I use Apache 1.3 and Oracle 10g).
I compiled 5.2 from source succesfully with this instruction:
./configure with-config-file-path=/opt/apache with-libdir=lib64 with-oci8=/opt/oracle/orase/oracle/product/10.2.0/db_1 with-apxs=/opt/apache/bin/apxs --enable-sigchildReplace the required values to match your system and try to see if it works for you.

Can I use owb9.2 with oracle 8i?Urgent!

My customer's source db is oracle8.1.7 and he want to build dw on the same database and he don't want to upgrade his db to oracle9i.
Can I only install owb9.2 on the oracle 8i db and use it to build the dw?
If not how can I solve this problem?

The targets can be deployed on even earlier version of the database (starting from 7.3.4). One of the strengths of OWB is ability to design a mapping once and then control deployment to various targets through location definitions which are db version-aware. That in turn generates code appropriate for a given db version. For example, MERGE statement will only be generated if target is on 9i.
Make sure your customer is aware of many performance advantages of running the warehouse on 9i vs 8i, so that he makes the best decision for the project.

Can odbc gateway be installed with oracle xe?

I would like to access other databases through oracle XE. Can ODBC gateway be used to accomplish this? I am hoping to connect to Dbase, Access and QuickBooks if anyone has any experience with those particular DBs

To connect the SC-2040 and the ER-8 to the PCI-MIO-16E-1 you will need to use a SC-2050.
You will connect the PCI-MIO-16E-1 to the SC-2050 J1 connector with an SH-6850 cable. Then use the J2 connector on the SC-2050 to connect to the SC-2040 and the digital connector to connect to the ER-8.

Can you determine link status with USB Ethernet adapter?

I'm wanting to replace an old G4 PowerBook with a 11" MacBookAir. I install networks, and I often need to determine link status of an Ethernet connection. With the built-in Ethernet port on most Macs, you can check the Network Status to see if there is link on an Ethernet connection (either the green or yellow status signs).
If I am using the Apple USB Ethernet adapter, do I get similar feedback from the Network preference panel? If not, perhaps a terminal command that would do the same?

Yes - the Network Panel under System Preferences works the same as with a regular Mac, showing USB Ethernet status (connected, disconnected, etc) and with the updated connected IP address, etc.

Can Developer 6.0 work with Oracle Personal

I need to config Developer 6.0 on a single computer.
So , I installed Oracle Personal 8.03 which works OK.
But Developer's intaller refused to share Oracle Home
directory prompting for a new one.
I haven't found any hints in OP documentation at is it possible
in general to get Developer working under OraPersonal ?
