URGENT:Copying Personalizations from Site Level to Responsibility Level

Hi All,
We have created quite a many Personalizations at the Site level for our Instance. Now we release that if we have them created at the responsibility level we would have more flexibility.
Can any of you let me know in case , there is any way to move the personalizations created at the site level to Responsibility level?

Thanks for your responses.
I copied the site level personalization Tags from the site level xml document and put it in the Responsibility level document and removed those personalizations from site level as well and it is workign fine.
Just I have one more question to this. Going forward how do I create the items ( Create Personalized Items) at the Responsibility level.
B'coz when I create a Stack Layout Item , I can only create it at site level. But if I want this to be available only to some Resposinbilities and not to all then how do I do it?

Unable to Personalize at SITE level.

I was customization "Customer" pages in R12.
Code is ready, problem is that, When i goto personalize page, I can't personalize at SITE level, i'm getting only for ORGANIZATION level.

Same issue exists for any Controller for this page.

Converting user level personalizations to site level personalizations

Hi All,
My Requirement is as follows:
In one search page i have created one view to save my search by providing view name.
Now if i login from different user i am not able to see that view name in the drop down which i have created from different login.
i intend to see that view for all users even if create from single login.
i know that save search is user level personalization, but i want to get the same at site level.
but while creating there is option like site level or responsibility level.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create, Duplicate, Update or Delete an "admin-seeded user-level" personalization :-

Select the Personalize pen icon to launch a focused version of the Page Hierarchy Personalization page for a selected boxed region.
Use the Hierarchy Page HGrid to identify the query region for which you wish to create an "admin-seeded user-level" personalization. (You can create seeded user-level personalizations only for a table or a HGrid in a query region.)
Select the Seeded User Views icon to launch the Personalize Views page where you can create, update, duplicate or delete "Admin-seeded user level" personalizations.
When you create, duplicate or update a seeded view, you navigate to the respective Create/Duplicate/Update Views page. Select Apply to save your changes when you are done.

Personalization at site level

i am not able to personalize the standard oracle view of Customers (AR_ARXCUDCI_STD_VIEW) at site level.The fields are coming as Read only for me.Please help.

Use pageContext.functionSecurity (I'm not sure about exact syntax) to get the function name when u visit the page.

How to default payment term from Site level

Hi All,
When creating an Order, the payment terms are defaulting from the defined defaulting rules.
As per the defaulting rules, it is supposed to pick as following seq..
1 Related Record - Invoice To.Payment term
2 Related Record - Ship To.Payment term
3 Related Record - Customer.Payment term
4 Constant Value - TBD
Now, as per the rule, it is picking the Payment term from Invoice to level. If there is none defined then it is picking from the Customer level as we never define at Ship To level.
Now my question, is there any way we can implement to pick the Payment term from the Site level when Invoice To payment term is not defined.
Please let me know if any additional info is required.

URGENT: Copying text from word doc to text module in smartforms

Hi ALl
I have a problem, when i copy texts from word documents to smartforms, some words getting clubbed together. there is no space. I tried justified and left aligned. In both i am getting problem like this. Is there any special way to copy and paste the text to text module from word.

Try to copy to notepad first, then copy to the text module.

How can we copy personalization from one to an othere resp/function

guys,
As we use people and maintain function to maintain employee information, in this function we have made personalization and working fine, but after restricting function which is appearing on others button like (absence, qualification, previous employer) etc, then we need to create task flow node and configure with new function as copy people function.however, the personalization which was attached People window one is working but new function of people window have without personalization.
So therefore i want to copy all this previous function personalization into new function,
Could you please advice to achive this.

Just to clarify what you're after, can you confirm that these assumptions are correct:
1) You're not talking about OA Framework personalization on any SSHR page
2) You are referring to the Combined Person and Assignment Form (PERWSHRG) under *HRMS Manager > People > Enter & Maintain
3) You're not talking about Forms Personalization (Help > Diagnostics > Custom Code > Personalize)
4) You are talking about custom Task Flow definitions
Do you want to copy the Task Flows and Upload? You can use a command like this to upload/download task flows. This is an example of downloading/uploading task flow nodes:
1) Submit Processes and Reports > Download HRMS Taskflows
2) Run this FNDLOAD command:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y DOWNLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt HR_NAVIGATION_UNITS
3) Upload:
FNDLOAD apps/<apps_pw> 0 Y UPLOAD $PER_TOP/patch/115/import/hrwfunit.lct nav_units.ldt
If you simply want your copied Function to use the same Task Flow just check it's got the same Form Parameters as the original function definition.
If this doesn't help, please clarify your requirement further.

Very urgent: copy pixels from graphics1 to graphics2

i need to copy already painted pixels with graphics object of paint method to new graphics object of image created with createImage( width, height).If it is possible with jdk1.1.5 please help me.

Actually there is a delay in painting the component. So that i need to grab some pixels from my componenet and do some modifications at builted one, and finally i want to add images with modified graphics back to the main componenet from which i took image. this is my real situation. Please help me if u have any idea on that.

Copying personalization

Hello Everyone,
I'm curious if there is a way to copy personalization from one iView to the other. In my particular case, I am modifying ESS Address iViews using the WD Personalization feature available in EP since SP10. The problem is that within ESS every country has its very own iView and I would thus have to maintain each country's personalization individually (very time consuming!). I was wondering if anyone knows if I can somehow maintain this personalization in one iView and then "copy" it to all the rest? Thanks in advance!

How to copy personalizations of a responsibility to another responsibility

Hi All,
I have done OAF Personalization at responsibility level for one responsibility. The same personalization is to be done for 60 more responsibilities. Please guide me on following points:
1. How to copy the same personalization to other responsibilities?
2. How to import the personalizations to application?
3. How to migrate the personalizations on another instance?

Abdul,
Use the Functional Administrator to get the XML files for the Personalizations. If you notice you would observe that for a particular file with path:
oracle/apps/ap/abc/webui/XXPG
the personalization xml wd be created as
oracle/apps/ap/abc/customization/responsibility/12345/webui/XXPG (where 12345 is the responsibility Id).
You would need to create 60 such copies with 60 different responsibility Ids. Also in the actual XML document you would need to update the responsibility key for each responsibility individually.
As a suggestion why dont you do your personalizations at the site level itself. For those responsibilities where you dont need this (assuming that is lesser in number) you personalize again so that the site level personalizations dont take effect.

Personalization - Site level, and not able to see it a resp level

I have added 2 new fields i.e. Field A and Field B to an Oracle seeded page at Site Level using Personalization. Based on the type of responsibility, I want to render one field at a time. I wanted to do this using responsibility level personalizations. However, I do not see these 2 fields when I try to personalize at responsibility level. What could be the issue?

Fields will be created at site level through personalization ,it will appear for all the responsibility ,once u will go to a page using a particular responsibility ,again you personalize the field and can set the rendered property false for all level except that particular responsibility .

I want to apply a custom controller to page layout region at site level, but personalization is disabled at site level for this page. I am able to personalize at responsibility and Organization level.
Is there any way to apply my changes at site level?
How can we disable/enable site level personalization for a page?? any help in this will be appreciated.

I cant copy/paste from an article to my web site, get a Mozilla Rich Text Editing demo page will not work.HELP

Tried to copy/paste from an article to my web site and got a "cannot copy /paste " warning and was directed to a security perferences site that said that Mozilla Rich Text Editing demo page will not work.
Tried to find my Firefox profile directory using the start menu and was directed to hit enter to go to web. Feel like i am getting run around.

Let's start with something very basic, and that is, you do not need to use the paste button on most websites. The button just reads what is on your clipboard and sticks it into the form. You can do that yourself using Ctrl+v or right-click>Paste.
For your security, I suggest using those standard Windows keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+x cut, Ctrl+c copy, Ctrl+v paste) or the context menu.
Occasionally you will find a paste button that runs a clean-up script or otherwise does something useful. That is where the (admittedly a bit complicated) instructions come in handy.
To open your active profile folder, you can use:
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Which help article are you using for the modifications?
Finally, please be cautious in opening up your clipboard to sites. You may have stuff you copied from other pages or other programs that you do not want to share with most sites.

Windows 8.1 will not copy files from intranet site.

I am using Windows 8.1 and I am trying to copy files from an Apple Time Capsule disk to a local hard drive. First I got the message box that said "Your Internet security settings suggest that one or more files may be harmful. Do you want to use it
anyway?" and when I said okay nothing would copy. I went into my Internet options and added the Time Capsule disk to my site list in the Local Intranet Zone and reconnected the shared drive. Now I don't get the error box but it doesn't copy
anything either. It does nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I suggest you to run a malware check..
May be its due to this malware "ZeroAccess rootkit/Sirefef"... What it does is it will block downloading and it will block you from visiting to some site...

Hello, not quite sure what it is you want to do.
In Mail you can copy something by highlighting it & CMD+c, or Mail>Edit>Copy, but whether you can paste it to a website, not sure, but you could say paste in in a Reply here...
