URGENT: CR2011 Unable to see Linked Tables (Viewing Links)

In select expert tables are listed but when clicking on the links tab the tables do not appear. This occurs on tables created in CR2010 (with links appearing) and opened in 2011 AND with new reports created in 2011. Service Pak download did not fix problem.

Thanks for your reply. We are using SQL Server 2008 databases. I would think that this would not be a problem with CR2011 since we can see the linking tables in a CR Version 10 install. The other thing I noticed is that the linking icon does not show up as it does in the other install so I'm thinking that it might be a driver issue or an install issue?
Also tried to right click on the Options but the only thing close to our problem is the Smart-Linking which I turned on with no results. If you click on Order Link you can see the SQL links (not in graphic form) but can't add or delete anything. Some of our linking can be quite complex so we need to be able to drag and drop the links.
I would think that the product would work the same as in previous versions.

Advanced Table in Table View Link

Hello All,
I have an advanced table in advanced table. The detail record is associated with the master record through a view link. Within the master table, whenever I click on the details column (hide/show) link for the first time, I will get the corresponding detail record for that master row. For any subsequent clicks on the hide show link in different rows, all detail records will be the same as whatever detail record was shown first. How do I get the view link and detail VO to refresh based on the row I have just selected the hide/show link on?

Applying support packs, is there way to see all tables/view/clustered table

We are applying support packs, and they are taking awhile. Upon review it looks like it's adding some fields to some tables/clustered tables. Is there a way to see all the tables/views/cluster tables that were updated. I know I can look at version management, but if somebody can point me to the base tables to look at and I can do an sql to sort them for what I am looking for. I want to make the changes to the update tables ahead of time by adding the column at the end, so there's no need for a conversion.

Crystal XI - Cannot see SQL Tables, View, Stored Procedures

I have read a couple of similar posts but no answers. I used to be able to see tables, view and stored procedures in Crystal XI, but suddenly I cannot. I have spent days researching this, changing SQL security settings, checking options in Crystal, etc., etc., to no avail. I really need an answer to this. Does anyone know if I can call someone in support and give a credit card number for a one-time call? I don't have a support agreement. Thank you in advance.

In the data explorer, you can see the datasources such as oracle, sqlserver etc.. If you are using oracle then right click that one, you see options, a windowss opens you need to spectify the views, stored procedures etc..

Unable to see in design view

When I "get" files (htm) from the remote site to the local site, the code comes over and I can edit in code BUT I cannot see it in design view - I just see the template. But I can preview it OK in the browser. I have just taken over this website. The previous webmaster used microsoft Expression Web which he assure me is compatable with Dreamweaver. I believe he editted with code.

That vml code is not from Expression Web. It appears when someone is bringing content from Word. Usually it means theyused "WordArt" but also provides round tripping of content between Word and other MS applications.
Provide a link to a page that uses the DWT and then we should be able to tell you what might be causing the problem. I know when I open pages in Expression Web that don't show up correctly in design view it is usually because the person used absolute positioning and have the layers stack wrong but I haven't seen that issue when I open the same page in Dreamweaver.
Expression Web writes web standard xhtml 1.0 code by default. It does have limited legacy support for some FrontPage bits but it is mostly of the "ability to edit" type and very few of the webbots can even be added in Expression Web. Its DWTs are basically Dreamweaver 4 (so much less function than current Dreamweaver DWTs) but Dreamweaver will use and update pages attached to an Expression Web DWT. I manage sites that use both, especially ones where clients manage site content but I create the DWTs and even use Dreamweaver extensions on the site. That's why I'm surprised to hear you have a problem seeing an EW created page and would like to see it.

Unable to see full design view

I have just started using Dreamweaver
I firstly created a basic html blank page and then edited one of the CSS layouts initially only altering basic colours (one to the header and one to sidebar),, adding a logo to the header and some basic text to my footer.. Both files were saved. I then reached the stage of attaching the external style sheet to my web page. However on creation the design view only shows certain elements of my web page at any one time. Using the property inspector and selecting the different class elements eg side bar, footer ,header etc,,, i can see oneeement at a time. I know only one is shown as only one clolour block appears.
I was expecting to see the whole page within the design view? My logo is also not showing in the header section nor is the basic text i had added to the footer.
Within view > style rendering, both the screem media type and display styles are selected.

Unable to see tables or views in DataSource definition

Hello,
I have configured and tested my Gateway. I am able to create a data source to the AdventureWorksDW2012 sample database and store the credentials. However I can't see any tables or views to select. I checked the data
types and table restrictions and they don't not appear to be the culprit. Will you help me be able to see the tables/views? I have tried with both SQL Server native and OLEDB protocols. I am using a sql server database account
over HTTP.
I followed these guides to get to this point.

Undo Changes in child table (using view link)

My environment : Jdev 11.1.2.2.0
I have a master-detail relationship which is linked using View Link. My requirement is to open a popup on double clicking the master row, and the user can add/delete/modify the child rows. Also I need to provide Ok/Cancel buttons. I need to Undo all the changes done for the child when the user clicks 'Cancel'. Can anyone please help to solve this?

First u need to a custom SelectionListener and make sure that RowSelection is set to single row. Add a method in the Managed Bean and make the row as current using the below java code

After writing this code.. All u need to do is Drop the Detail Table on the Dialog of ur popup. This way u will get all the rows of the table. So, filter this table with the foreign key using some code..
Or u can just drop the region containing the Detail Table with the Rollback and commit

Cannot See Database Tables in BI Discoverer Admin

Hello All -
My organization recently upgraded to Discoverer 10g from Discoverer 4i. In 10g the EUL is called BIEUL and in 4i it was called V9EUL. During the upgrade, all the Business Areas belonging to V9EUL in 4i were assigned to BIEUL in 10g. I'm not sure how our DBA accomplished this part of the upgrade.
When I'm logged into BI Discoverer Admin (version 10.1.2.00.00) I am unable to see the database tables in order to create folders from them. For instance, today I want to create a brand new Business Area so I click on File...New to start the Load Wizard then I click on "Create a new business area" then I specify to load the meta-data from the on-line dictionary and click the "Next"button. In the next window (Load Wizard: Step 2) I can see all the available users as I expect so I check the user I want and click 'Next".
Here's the point where the problem arises. In the window "Load Wizard: Step 3" I see the user I chose in the "Available" list on the left, but when I click on + to see the tables owned by the user it does not expand and I cannot go any further.
I experienced the same thing when I try to add a "New Folder from Database" to an already-existing Business Area.

At first it sounds like it's a simple matter as the EUL owner not having the rights to see the tables / views pointed to by the EUL (grants).
However, the part about the DBA where you say all BAs belonging to V9EUL in 4i wre assigned to BIEUL in 10g, I hope the DBA didn't do anything fancy. All the EUL manager should have to do is fire up the new version of Disco Admin 10g and it will see that the existing EUL is a version 4 one and will ask if you want to upgrade. Saying yes, you will get an entirely new EUL, tables, etc. created pointing to the same database tables / views as your still existing v4 EUL is.
So you'll have 2 EULs - a v4 one and a v10 one as it's not a destructive upgrade.
Is it possible the DBA hacked something? - or just a grants problem to the new EUL owner?

I have created a custom page layout in my site collec. using VS 2012 and deployed am able to see the page in the pages lib [inbox.aspx].
Here, I have added a page viewer web part and I want to redirect to another application page, which is already coded [inboxredirect.aspx] in my solution[its another dll - another SP solution which has appln pages and web parts
etc - ]
The issue is that, i am unable to see the page viewer web part when the page is displayed. inbox.aspx is a page which is created once my custompagelayouts solution is deployed and when i navigate to this page, i am stuck . i am getting
the " access denied " message is displayed.
can anyone help why this error is displayed?
in my inboxredirect.aspx page i am inherting from unsecuredlayoutspagebase class, so i dont think , access denied message should come.

TP4 ADF BC [BUG] view link are not updated after database synchronization

I have a table with a recursive relationship.
By mystake, I created a recursive foreign key for the same attribute (deptid->deptid instead of deptid->parentdeptid).
I generated entity, view and application module from this schema.
When compiling, errors was produced indicating the problem.
I corrected the problem in offline database, generate the changes into the database successfully.
I ask to synchronize the entity with the database, the changes was identified correctly and a new association was created.
First remark: the old one still there and it was necessary to delete it and rename the new generated one (to be consistent with other name). May be an option to overwriting the old one will be more pleasant, may be asking if the new one has to replace an existing one and show a list of existing ones.
Regenerating the association was correct and one error was removed when compiling again. The error on the view link still there.
I would like to delete the assoc and recreate it from the entity assoc but it was not possible easily because the view link is used in the application module !!!!
It will be nice to permit to regenerate an existing view link from an entity association without deleting it.
May be it is a better way to synchronize ? I would be very interesting to know how to achieve it as the best !

Was the inability to have the synchronization remove the key specific to the existing association's being self-referential, or if your initial association was from DeptId to some other attribute (which you then corrected) would the synchronize have fixed the problem?
The simplest way to achieve what you want given existing features would be to have delete the view link instance, view link, and association, follow by resynchronizing (I believe), then recreating the viewlink and adding back the view link instance.

JDev11.1.1.4 IDE error: not displaying view link in service's Data Model

I was trying to update master-detail relationship in the Data Model tab of the Service definition tab.
Got an 'unexpected error happened' and Jdeveloper shut down.
After I re-opened it, I do not see my adf view links under the packages in the Available View Objects multiselect in the Data Model tab of the visual editor for service definition file.
Also there was an uncaught exception thrown:
