A very urgent deployment issue about DBAdapter

I have a very urgent deployment issue about DBAdapter.
That DBAdapter is connect to DB2 AS400 Database. I have a developing database (jdbc:as400://server01/TEST) and a production database (jdbc:as400://server01/PROD).
During developing, I used DBAdapter wizard to create it, and import some tables, and set the Adapter to use jabc/DB2DS as connection information for easily deployment later.
Then I deploy to Production. I configured Data-source.xml and oc4j-ra.xml rightly; I set DB connection point to production database. But the DBAdapter still write into developing Database.
I checked the DBAdapter, the imported tables are something like this, TEST.table1, TEST.table2. And there are a lot "TEST" located in DB2Writer_toplink_mapping.xml, DB2Writer.xml, TEST.schema, DB2Writer.table1.ClassDescriptor.xml.
This TEST is refrer to the TEST in connect String jdbc:as400://server01/TEST.
I think this might be the reason cause the problem. As to production database, "TEST" should replaced by "PROD". If I changed it manually, I have to change every time when switch between TEST and PROD. And I also don't know if it is safe to do it? (I tried, and bring some toplink mapping problem)
By the way, for Oracle Database, because we use 2 instances for testing and production with same schema name, and do not have this issue.

The idea is to set up all connections in the BPEL or ESB services with logical names, e.g. typically of the form eis/DB/MyFinancialSystem or eis/DB/MyLogisticsSystem. This way, you do not have to modify code when deploying it onto different environments that serve different purposes.
When moving your services through their lifecyle, on every environment you deploy these to you will have the same logical connections configured on each instance, e.g. for DEV, QA, SIT, UAT and PROD. Only, in case of QA the actual physical connection is configured to point to the QA instance of the systems that your services interact with whereas in case of UAT it points to the UAT instance of the same system.
Maybe your problem is caused by connecting as user "SomeUser" when running the DB Adapter wizard during development and actually selecting objects from a different schema than you used to connect with, e.g. "Test" in your case.

CS4 deployment kit - created installer fails

Hi I've used the deployment kit to create a Uberinstaller, but it keeps failing with the following message in the log:

I see there is an issue with the language pack. I'm not sure how it en_GB isn't supported. Is this an OS feature or am I missing somthing in the installer package?

I've had similar frustrations with the Deployement Toolkit. I created a network location for the installation files used the toolkit to create the installer. It lookes like an application is created that reads the xml script for installation details. The problem I'm having is that installer runs silently, and you don't know when it completes, but I give it 2 hours just to be sure. The major flaw is that the Photoshop is not being installed. The only changes I made were to not install the Bridge server. I'm tempted to make a full blown installation and see if I can get Photoshop to successfully install. I'm using CS4 Design Premium site licensing and I need to install this on dozens of computers. Close is not good enough I'm afraid. Didn't adobe test this a little better? Apparently they are expecting the client's to test this software for them. Grrr! I'll try some more and post any successes. I'm looking through the technotes now for clues.

Be careful. This link gets you ADK8.0. You need ADK8.1 for SCCM 2012 R2. I've uploaded it to OneDrive for you. This is just the installer but it does work and downloads the other components successfully - I've tested it.

App-V 5.0 // Visio - Project with Integration + local Office 2010 Deployment Kit and COM settings

Hi, I did read all the Microsoft and non-microsoft documentation first. However, I didn't find an answer to these 3 questions:
Situation:
* Locally installed Office 2010.
* Visio and Projects 2010 sequenced with App-V 5.0 SP3 sequencer with integration scenario (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2830069)
* User-target of Visio and Project (I now according to documentation this should be published globally. Since not every user has a license this is no option. So far my tests do not show any problems with user-targeted visio/project)
* Visio has "allow COM objects to interact with the local system" and "OutOfProcessEnabled" enabled
1) When targeting both visio and project to the user with integration the licensing component only works for the first started application. Therefore I also install the licensing kit locally which make both the visio and project licensing work just fine.
Anyone sees a problem with having the license kit installed locally and stream the applications with integration on top? With my tests all seems to work well. The advantage of this is that I do not have to have separate packages for integration and non-integration
scenario's.
2) To make drag-and-drop from visio drawings in word work I enabled the COM interaction and I need also to set OutOfProcessEnabled="true". Does anyone now how to set OutOfProcessEnabled to true inside the .appv (it is possible with application
virtualization explorer) and not only manually afterwards in the xml's?
3) Should these COM settings be enabled for project as well? It seems that pasting in word from project has not the same interaction, it just pastes a table.

1. We did similar, installed that MSI for the licensing component locally, and streamed Project and Visio 2010, and so far so good.
2. There is no way to set those COM options inside the .appv. You can set integrated vs isolated, but no IP or OoP COM, you have to use the deployment XML.
3. This gets tougher to answer, but it goes to how much isolation do you want. Some of the articles are great just go over my head slightly, but have to deal with how the filter driver processes certain kinds of COM, IP or OoP. With Isolated
(as opposed to integrated) the COM systems (local and package) are totally isolated except for global exceptions.
With integrated, you can further 'integrate' the COM subsystems by enabling those options. Correct me if I'm mistaken though.
So do you need to? If everything works for you I'd say no, but you might find something else doesn't work without those settings.
Also very important, you cannot join a CG without those subsystems being equal. So if Project and Visio ever need to be in a CG together and the COM settings aren't identical, you will get an error at the client.

Short dump has not been completely stored (too big).
Error analysis
    Unable to load a program of 763904 bytes.
    The PXA ('program execution area') was too small to hold all
    currently active programs for all users.
    At present, the size of the PXA is set at 144708 Kbytes.
    The largest contiguous and unlocked memory chunk has 621568 bytes.
Please do the needful at earliest, coz its very urgent.

*Urgent* Deploy java component to UNIX

Hi everyone,
I have a little problem, please help.
I have to write a java executable program
that will read a XML file parse it and then update the Oracle database version 7.
I will have to write my code on WinNT, this java execuatable program will be invoked by some other program in UNIX.. I dont have to worry about how to invoke it, beacuse other will have to. My task it only to write the program and store it somewhere on the UNIX file system and tell them where the file is.
My question is:
We are using HP and IBM version.
Do I have to install JDBC to UNIX? Or Do I have to install the JDK or what should the Unix OS should have so that my program can talk to the Database and at the same time use the XML parser.

Hi,
I don't think that OAS can act as a container for RMI-applications, at least I havent't read about that anywhere. On the other hand, you can easily use rmid from the jdk for that tast, so this shouldn't be the problem.
What you can do is create an EJB with the JDev-wizard and deploy it to OAS using the deployment wizard. That works fine. But of course, you have to act as an EJB-client to connect to it. (You can find a tutorial for JDev 3.0 on this site choosing Documentation)
As far as Applicationmodules are concerned, there are wizards included in JDev that let you deploy to OAS. I myself never succeeded in doing so, the wizards and OAS seem to be very buggy. There is a note on metalink.oracle.com: 114335.1 which describes the deployment of Applicationmodules to OAS. Other people report to have succeded, whereas it wouldn't work for me.

Is it possible to create a distribution kit or executable file out of a Teststand sequence file that uses CVI standard prototypes?

If you want to distribute your sequence files to other machines, there are a few things you must consider.
1. Create a TestStand Run-Time Engine installer. You can do this by selecting Tools>>Run Engine Installation Wizard.
2. Distribute your Operator Interface.
3. Distrbute your code modules (in your case CVI) and sequences.
We do not have a tool similar to that of Assemble VIs for Distribution for CVI. You will need to ensure that all of your code is copied to the target machine and that TestStand is able to resolve the paths for where these files are located (i.e. Configure>>Search Directories).
PLEASE REFER TO THE CHAPTER IN THE TESTSTAND USER MANUAL TITLED "DISTRIBUING TESTSTAND".

I'm facing this issue from couple of days while executing RUN SUMMARIZATION against any deployment like in my case its 'update deployment' it wont update any status in Deployments View.
I have One CA , One Primary and Two Secondary Sites.
SQL Server 2012 SP1 at CA and Primary Site / SQL Express SP1 at Secondary Sites

Why is my deployed application not executing functions from an external .dll?

My application executes python scripts via function calls made to the python C/API, python24.dll. It works fine in the development environment, but my deployed application does not seem to find the .dll since the the application crashes at what seems to be the first attempt to access the python shared library.
I believe I've included all the necessary support files. LV automatically included python24.dll into the installer. And I've tried to make all the paths to script files and other support files point to where the app.exe is located...some debugging windows have shown the paths to be correct in the deployed app. The call library function nodes are configured to find the python .dll in the win\system32 folder.
I feel like I'm missing some step in the build process since it works in the development environment, but perhaps there is some other trick using CLFN's that I don't understand.

It seems like you are doing everything the right way. Click on the following link for a related discussion forum post.
Here is what you can try:
1. Place the dll in the C:\WINDOWS\system32 on your development machine.
2. Make sure your Call Library Function Node VI is pointing to C:\WINDOWS\system32\python24.dll
3. Build your executable
4. LabVIEW will not make a copy of your python24.dll because it will treat it differently
5. Manually copy the python24.dll to the target PC's C:\WINDOWS\system32\
6. Make sure you have all supporting files for your python24.dll to insure the dll itself is working.
7. If you are using relative paths to call your dll, switch to hard paths, or take a look at this KB for relevent information.

In both cases , I think the BPEL process is not able to access the type definitions in oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd file.
Please help me fix this error.

To be precise NWDS: 7.0.12
WAS 7.0 SP 13

URGENT!! File Upload Utility or a Custom File Upload UI is needed

Hi all,
I'm trying to find or develop a file upload utility or custom user interface rather than editing and adding file type item to a page. There is a free portlet for file upload in Knowledge Exchange resources, but it is for 3.0.9 release. I'm using portal 9.0.2.
I could not any sample about the new release. Also API such as wwsbr_api that is used to add item to content areas is out dated.
I create a page with a region for "items". When "edit" page and try to add an "file" type item the generated url is sth like this;
"http://host:7779/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_additem.selectitemtype****"
After selecting item type as a simple file autogenerated url is sth. like ;
"http://host:7779/pls/portal/PORTAL.wwv_add_wizard.edititem"
I made search about these API but could not find anything (in PDK PL/SQL API help, too).
I need this very urgent for a proof of consept study for a customer.
