URGENT - Disable sound of keyboard clicks during broadcast

Doing the first Ustream broadcast after making video in FCPX. Rehearsal was perfect but, as usual, hiccups during real broadcast. Audience can hear keyboard clicks and very, very low sound volume. Using UStream broadcaster and ManyCam. Can anyone help?

For some reason it is picking up the sound from the microphone and not the video. What do I need to change? My sound input/output settings look ok

    Hi nitramred,
To start troubleshooting this issue where you are unable to adjust the volume after receiving a call, please go ahead and first force close all of the apps currently running on the device, and then reset it by following the steps in the articles below.
iOS: Force an app to close
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

  • Keypad sounds and Keyboard clicks

My keyboard clicks do not always click (or mute) according to my "Settings/Sounds/Keyboard Clicks/(On)(Off)". In other words the Clicks setting may be of, but the keyboard continues to click. Or may be on and not click.
Also found that keypad setting is not the same as the keyboard. In other words the keyboard may be silent, but the keypad tones are audible.
    1. Are there other settings that affect the keyboard clicks beside the one that I used?
    2. Does the keypad have its own sound setting?
    Thanks

    1. Are there other settings that affect the keyboard clicks beside the one that I used?
The only way to control the keyboard clicks is by doing the following
    1. Turning the silent switch on so you see an orange dot, Located on top left hand side of iPhone
    2. Going to Settings - Sounds - Keyboard Clicks - OFF or ON
    2. Does the keypad have its own sound setting?
Yes it does, Located in Settings - Sounds - Keyboard Clicks
I would try rebooting your iPhone and see if this continues, Hold down the Home button & Sleep/Wake button together. Once you see a silver apple logo, let go and allow iPhone OS to reboot. Now see if the clicks are doing the same thing.
If your still experiencing the same thing proceed below
Update iPhone to 1.1.4 or if needed Restore iphone and if possible setup as a new iPhone. Please backup all your data before proceeding. Check out the link below to see what programs the iPhone can sync to.

  • Full volume and Keyboard Clicks on, yet no sound?

I have an iPhone 4S that is on iOS 6.0.1. When I go to Settings > Sounds , the volume is on the highest setting, nothing is blocking the speakers, and Lock Sounds and Keyboard Clicks are ON. When I go to type anything though, I hear nothing. Settings > Messages had nothing to alter that I could see to hear the sounds, and I couldn't find anything that would disable the clicks from being heard. How can I enable the clicks to be heard without restarting?

Are you sure the phone is not in Mute mode, as set by the square switch on the side? If down/red tab visible, no sound will ensue, no matter the setting.

  • Keyboard clicks no longer sounding

I have an iPad 2 and I have just noticed that keyboard clicks no longer sound.
    Music is fine
    I have tried a restart
I have switched off the clicks and back on but no change
    Any ideas?

    You have system sounds muted.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

  • Keyboard clicking sounds or power cord sounds not working.  Mute is off.

All of a sudden, the sounds when using the keyboard and attaching the power cord to charge the battery don't work.  I have checked and my iTunes app has sound and the mute function is off.  I've turned sounds off, powered off, turned sounds back on and powered off.  Can't figure out what happened.

In spite of what you said about sounds not being muted, what you are describing is exactly what happens when SYSTEM sounds are muted. You also do not list which iPad you are using and which iOS you are running. If you have the iPad Air 2, you do not have a side switch so your system sounds will be controlled in the control center,

  • 4.2.1 killed the Keyboard Clicks on my iPad

Keyboard Clicks worked right up to the point that I installed 4.2.1. Now they don't work at all. Or almost at all. They will work on the initial password screen. They also work on the Settings->General->Sounds page. But no where else.
I've turned all of the sounds (including Keyboard Clicks) off and on again several times. I've cranked the volume up all the way. I've also played with the new Mute switch just in case that was giving me the problems. Nothing seems to work.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Just a thought- have you got the new Airplay feature turned on in iTunes or the video app?
Now this is an interesting question. However I checked it out and I don't think so. First because I don't own an Apple TV or compatible speakers. Indeed I've never even used Airplay and had to consult the web to find out how it works.
So I checked. I brought up a video and then a song, and did not see the Airplay up arrow icon on the control window as shown in the Apple demo videos. So I'm pretty sure it is not currently enabled on my iPad. I also went into iTunes, and the only reference I could see to Airplay was under iTunes->Preferences->Devices. There were options to look for remote speakers and for remote devices. Those options were selected so I turned them off. I didn't see any other Airplay features in iTunes, that I could find. So I'm guessing this isn't the problem for me.
I did find one other place where Keyboard Clicks works. In addition to the initial screen-lock password page, and also the Settings->General->Sounds page, I also discovered that Clicks works on the search page that you get when you swipe to the right on the home page. But, other than those three pages, Clicks doesn't work anywhere else.
I'm still thinking that it is a 4.2.1 bug, since it appeared exactly when I did the upgrade, but it is odd that no one else has (yet) reported this same problem. It's still possible that there is a weird configuration issue (like Airplay - thanks for the suggestion) but if so I haven't found it yet.

  • Can't hear keyboard clicks or power turning off after ios 7 upgrade to iPad 2

Prior to upgrading iPad 2 with IOS 7, I could hear keyboard clicks when sending email as well as click associated powering off iPad when closing cover on it. These sounds are no longer heard with IOS 7 installed. Sound settings for keyboard clicks and lock sounds are on. How do I fix this problem?

  • Keyboard clicks -Gone!

On my son's 3g, running 3.1.3, since last night when the phone was turned off and back on again today the keyboard clicks are no longer audible.
Under 'Sounds' the Keyboard clicks are switched to 'On' and all other sounds are OK. I have tried a hard reboot of the phone and toggling the Keyboard clicks button but all to no avail.
    Any suggestions please?

  • IPhone keyboard clicking though disabled

    All,
I just purchased a 3G iPhone and updated to OS 2.2. I've disabled keyboard clicks in the Sounds menu however it will still click in some circumstances. An example of this is while entering in a web address in Safari.
Any thoughts on how to completely disable this? Perhaps you're to do this somewhere else on the phone?

There is no other place to enable or disable keyboards clicks - that I'm aware of.
Try an iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the Home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so.
