  • View source without loading page

I have Javascript off. The page I want to see starts to load, then it redirects to an error page saying I cannot use the site at all unless I turn on Javascript. After this, I don't trust them enough to let them run their Javascript on my machine.

Thanks - I think that's what I was looking for. But it doesn't work here.
    I typed
    view-source:http://www.auburnschl.edu/pages/Auburn_School_Department/About_Us/Auburn_s_Vision
    and it changed to
    view-source:http://www.auburnschl.edu/'''resolver/2496178368.20480.0000/route.01/'''pages/Auburn_School_Department/About_Us/Auburn_s_Vision
    and Firefox said
    The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

  • Disabling VIew source property in IE

    hi
I am working on an ADF application. There is a requirement to disable the view source property of the IE browser so that the users cannot view the source. Is it possible to do it?
    Please reply
    Thanks

    Hi,
not from ADF. You need to check with IE if there is an option to achieve this.

  • Stop to view source of the page

    sir
i m making a project using JSP and HTML ,,,is there any option there with the help of which i can stop the user to view the source of my page.....
    thank you
    gaurav

Sure - don't let it be accessed by a browser. That has a certain amount of negative impact on useability, of course.
Oh wait - you want the browser to be able to render it? Give up. If a browser can recover the HTML, ANYbody can recover it. That's the way the web works.

  • On viewing the page source of the page, it is displaying two title tags.

Two title tags are displayed on view source of the page.
One title tag is explicitly mentioned, but i do not want the second tag to be displayed.
    Please suggest some solution.

Yes, by using JavaScript to create a new page by spawning a template page. The downside is that is will only work with Reader 11 (and Acrobat) and not previous versions of Reader. It also won't work if you need to Reader-enable the document so that pre-11 versions of Reader can save the filled-in form. If these limitations are not a problem and you need more help, post again.

  • "View Source" problem in IE and Mozilla

I'm parsing a HTML data source using JAVA.
I do "View Source" of the page in both IE and Mozilla.
#1 below is from IE and #2 is from Mozilla.
    1. <p><div class = "sub1"> <a name="..."></a>...</div></p>2. <p><div class =" sub1"> <a name="..."></a>...</div></p>Notice the spaces in the <div> tag. The spaces in IE and Mozilla are different. Could somebody please advise about this?
Thanks in advance for the help.

The two browsers use different programs to display the text of the source. IE usually takes the windows default and uses Notepad, whereas Firefox uses its own program. They are going to format it differently.
My approach would be to use the Notepad version and have notepad save it to disk. Only your own program can tell for sure what is really in the file, without notepad introducing display artifacts (like extra newline to do word wraps).

  • Disable view html source code

    Hi,
Anyone know that how could I disable the html source code, so
no one can right click and view source code.
    Thanks
    David

    Hi,
Anyone know that how could I disable the html source code, so
    no one can
right click and view source code.
    Thanks
    David
There are methods that will disable the right click, but then
    what do
you do for those people that go to the 'View' menu and select
    'Page
Source'? Or those who use the CTRL-U? Or those of us who have
    tools
like firebug that allow us to inspect the source both before
    and after
    it has been rendered.
In other words you can not really do what you want to do,
    which is hide
your HTML source. The system just does not allow it at this
    time.

  • Cannot View Source Without Issuing New Page Request, making FF Totally Useless for WebApp Development.

The question says all there is to be said about it.
This appears to be caused by an over-reaching security policy that has caused nothing but turmoil amongst my development team.
The bug exists somewhere in Mozilla's strategy; You are impeding our ability to reliably test and debug a secure web-app we've been building over the last year. It was frustrating enough fighting with the about:config settings anytime a new version of FF released (every other day recently), but now the issue is compounded.
Pump the brakes guys, you're going the wrong way. We're ditching Firefox-driven testing until you make this right.
    Eric

Is this a new issue in Firefox 26?
When I watch for requests using Fiddler, I'm not seeing a second request when I view source for a few example pages, and the response time implies that I'm seeing a cached page. This may well vary based on cache headers or other factors.
One possible workaround until we figure out what's going on with your application might be to view the source of the rendered DOM. Ctrl+a to select the entire page, right-click, View Selection Source.

  • View source code of the page executed in browser...

    Hi,
Request you to help me to view the source code of the page executed in browser using a Query/ Web Template. We can view the HTML code when we go to
    Page--> View source code.
But i want to see the Java code behind the web page.
    Regards,
    Koundinya K

You can use tools like JD-GUI and the see the code. If you want to customize a cartirdge, you can always extend the class and add your stuff to the contentItem.
    Thanks

  • View source doesn't work / is broken / not working in 6.1.0.1

View source in IE6 works on the guest users mypage when they first land on the site and on the login page, but any other community page once you login - it breaks.
I'm having to use the 'view partial source' in my right click context menu as offered once you install 'webdevaccess.exe' (a developer plugin unsupported but offered by Microsoft - google it) to see any source. I must admit, I just ctrl-a then 'view partial source' and I get everything but the initial <html> and <head> tags pretty much - but it's a pain.
Has anyone else seen this behavior and is there a fix?

It appears that this is indeed a problem with certain versions of IE6 while using server-side compression for all portal pages (a new feature on ALI 6.1 that is enabled by default).
The Release Notes actually contain two known issues related to this:
    - Some versions of IE6 on Windows 2000 have a bug where they do not render compressed pages properly. End users should upgrade to the latest version of IE6 if compression is enabled. (Issue #54230)
    - You may experience issues downloading Excel spreadsheets from Analytics reports using the Microsoft IE6 browser. (Issue #54827)
This problem is directly related to one or more of the following bugs in IE6 SP1 resolved by the KB articles listed below. Please require users to either upgrade their browsers by installing IE6 SP2 or patching with the specific downloads listed in the KB articles.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/871205

    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=823386
The other workaround is to specifically disable compression for Excel spreadsheets in the httpcompression.xml setting file, located in %PT_HOME%/settings/portal.
I upgraded to MSIE 7 and did not encounter the problem. I also confirmed that the problem does not occur with IE6 when HTTP compression is disabled. This is now controlled by a new httpcompression.xml file.

  • Disable Refresh menu option on Page Title Bar

    Hi,
We have a TLN node that opens an iview in a new window. Therefore nothing is displayed in the portal page. However the Page Title Bar menu still has all the options (Open in New Window, Refresh, Details etc.) and if a user selects Refresh, it throws a portal runtime error (iView not found: .default). How can I disable the menu options for this iview? I have tried setting the Show Refresh etc. parameters to No but it didn't work - I assume because the iview isn't being opened in the portal page.
    Many thanks
    Jane

    hi
the iview you need to explore is page title bar i view in default framework page available in  portal standard user  directory in portal content. In this context i would like to suggest a solution why don,t you creat a default framework page just copy it in your folder  and open it and disable all checkboxes associated to page title bar and save after that go on to create a deskttop in portal display in system configuration and add your framework page and theme from themes in portal content and then add a rule to the main rule in super administrators  folder which will for role of the user will display onle that desktop.i have illustrated the concept of branding if you want to avoid codeing or command groups which is long approach.hope this helps youplease do not forget to give points
    with regards

  • How can I edit an html file in Firefox using View Source?

I have created an html webpage and saved it to my pc. I can't edit the html file in firefox when I right click on the page and select "View Source". I can view the code but I can't edit it. I can do this in IE9.
I thought I was able to do this before in Firefox.
Did my settings change somewhere that I can no longer do this?
Do I have to have something checked in the Web Developer extensions for it to work?
    I'm using Firefox 24.0
Thank you for any help with this. :)

The View Source window in Firefox cannot be used to change computer codes. Nor can the Web Developer tools.
    Sorry for any inconvenience.
    I suggest using Programmer's Notepad.
