URGENT: Email blocked by Spamcop

My partner and client email account being blocked by Spamcop.  This was not the case just a couple of weeks ago - and I have not sent any email marketing for more than six months - and even then I only ever sent it intermittently to opt-in subscribers only.
The issue not related to my email client, but to the ip address on the smtp server. Relevant part of the bounce message:
Remote-MTA: dns; mx4.skymesh.net.au
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 5.7.1 Service unavailable; Client host
   [64.98.42.102] blocked using bl.spamcop.net
This is NOT something I can resolve:  http://www.spamcop.net/fom-serve/cache/76.html
There are several questions on this forum - none of which have ever been answered or resolved by BC support.
This is a critical issue.
BC:  Urgent removal from Spamcop required.

Were you using BC's Webmail or an email client on your computer/mobile device?  Are you making sure that you are using BC's SMTP servers?  There's a chance you are using some other mail servers to send the mail instead of BC's servers which might be causing spamcop to block it.

    Hey CarolinQc,
Thanks for the question. The symptoms you are experiencing can result from an Apple ID address that has been changed prior to signing out of all of the services. Before you change the email address associated with your Apple ID, you’ll want to sign out of all services to avoid this. As a fix, you can temporarily change your Apple ID back to the old address:
iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5223
    Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't help, try these steps:
    1. Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
    2. Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
              - Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
              - Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
              - Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
    3. Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
    4. Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

  • Our emails blocked by Microsoft FBLW15 over 1 month now, no contact to Microsoft

    Hi,
We are UK based company and all our emails have been blocked by Microsoft for over 1 month now.
    We are receiving back:
Message could not be delivered to some recipients.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
            Recipient: xxx
Reason: Remote SMTP Server Returned:  Service unavailable; Client host [xxx] blocked using FBLW15; To request removal from this list please forward this message to delist... etc
When we have sent delist request, someone from Microsoft sent us back another email, asking more questions.
    Hello ,
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Online Services Technical Support.  This email is in reference to ticket number 1276221567, which was opened in regards to your delisting request for xxx.
We see that the IP address in question has been submitted for delisting within the last 30 days.  In order to process this new request please provide us with the following information:
What caused the spam-like activity from the IP address?
What steps have been taken to prevent the spam-like activity from occurring again?
Please respond to this email with your answers and any questions or concerns you may have.
Thank you again for contacting Microsoft Online Services Technical Support and giving us the opportunity to serve you.
We have replied couple of times, but no reply from Microsoft.
How can we resolve it? We never been sending any spam, our emails are 100% legitimate.
As far as I'm concerned, Microsoft can be liable damages for disrupting legitimate correspondence.
What is the reason for our emails blocked - don't know.
Please help, we are blocked for over 1 month now.

You need to check with the support to get more details and maybe they can provide you more details about the sent e-mails.
It might be that the mails were not sent by one of messaging systems but it can be a virus or a malware program that was sending e--mails from your IP to spam others. I would recommend filtering SMTP traffic to allow only authorized servers and systems to
send mails and to run virus and malware programs identification and removal on your managed systems.

  • What are these urgent email notices to update Skype

We don't understand these "urgent" email notices for system updates. Also getting calls on Skype to update system.
I'm thinking "system updates" would come from Apple. Not sure what these notices are. Maybe "phishing"?

A quick Google search indicates that it is probably a phishing scam.

  • Blocked email. Why is email blocked from my client that didn't used to be?

My client and I used to be able to email but all of a sudden her emails are blocked from coming in. The response she receives is: "email from {edited for privacy} is blocked by Verizon and the email "SENDER" or email service provider needs to request removal of the block". How do we resolve this? She said she has never experienced this problem before. I had to ask her to send to my gmail account for now. I hope to not have to do that again. Please give me feedback on this.

    1. For this type of block, the sender (your client) needs to visit the WhiteList site provided in the bounceback message and fill out the WhiteList form. Verizon will then review the block, and remove it if they determine the block is not valid.
    2. The IP address that was listed appears to belong to WebsiteWelcome.com - Which does not go to an actual site anymore (just a message about abuse), and may or may not be a scam site according to this page. I wouldn't count on it getting unblocked, as it appears the block may be valid.

  • Very urgent(Queues blocked in R/3)

I have checked in sm50,smq1 and r3am1.There are no queues that have been blocked in CRM.
But when i checked in R/3 ,I found in SmQ1 that 3000 queues have blocked .So there no flow of data from r/3 to crm.
So please help me how to resolve this problem.
    This is very urgent.
    regards,
    Mdahv.

    Hi
Possible error situation: A business object has been changed in a CRM Server Application, but the
change (delta load) is not received in SAP R/3.
In case of errors or missing data updates in the target system, you may perform the following steps:
Check Display BDoc Messages including the middleware trace information
    Check the outbound queue
Check the table BDOC_TRACK in SAP R/3 (shows information on the data handling of the SAP R/3
    application)
Check the outbound queue of SAP R/3
Check the inbound queue of the CRM System
Furthermore, verify the RFC destination and the logical system assigned to your site (in the Admin
Console) and the CRM Middleware parameter settings in the CRM System and SAP R/3 (for example,
    CRMRFCPAR).
    Cheers

  • Emails blocked by the recipient OR by Trend Micro Email Reputation Service

    Have a good day!!!

  • OUTGOING EMAILS BLOCKED- I'M LISTED AS SPAMMER

I'm unable to send emails although I can receive them. Spent  almost an hour with the chat support line to finally be informed I'm on a spam list as a spammer. I told them I only email to those I know and have had no complaints and receive emails from everyone I email to. The support person informed me that just one person couldn't get me on the list. This is some faulty system used by Verizon and the emails are not investigated or checked. Meanwhile they had me fill out a form and hopefully I'll be able to use my outlook again. It could take days and it has already. The small print on the form I filled out said it's not even a guarantee I'll get the email service back. This is very disrupting and I wonder if others are experiencing this. I'm shopping for another service while I wait.

What is the specific error message you are getting? Is it just an error that comes up, or are you getting a Delivery Failure notification?
The steps to solving the problem depend on where the block is originating.

  • Outgoing email blocking other emails, won't delete

I have an email in my outbox, that won't send, open or delete and it is blocking all the other outgoing emails I have! Once I click on it to do anything the activity viewer just spins and spins, doesn't time out, and I have to force quit Mail. There is no attachment, the email is blank (or won't load when I click on it), and the size says 1.1MB. What can I do?
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Try deleting it from the hard drive directly -- it should be in:
    ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Outbox.mbox/Messages
If not, you may have to get more creative. Backup your Mailbox folder and possibly Mail preferences before doing anything creative, though.

  • Outgoing email blocked.

For historical reasons my email servers are hosted by a US ISP and I use BT merely for access to the internet. However outgoing email is being blocked - the error message reports that my BT-assigned WAN IP address is blacklisted and can be found on the Realtime Black List server, b.barracudacentral.org.
BT _ why would your IP addresses be blacklisted?
        Thank you

This is a BT customer forum, so messages do not go to BT, however there are a large number of community members here, so there is a good chance you will get help.
If you are on a normal dynamic IP address, then restarting your router normally gives yo a new IP address.

  • Outbound Email Blocked

I am currently out of the country (in the Philippines) and am heavily reliant on my email passed through the Verizon server via my FIOS account in the US.  My incoming email works fine, but my outgoing email delivery is "currently blocked," according to the error message. It doesn't seem to be a problem with my firewall or other security. Nothing is amiss with my email program (Thunderbird). Nor is it a problem with the SMTP settings.  The error message indicates that the problem is the Verizon server (outgoing.verizon.net) and that I should contact my "network administrator" - presumably Verizon. It seems to be impossible to contact Verizon - especially from afar. The question is whether Verizon is somehow deliberately or inadvertently blocking my outgoing email. Has anyone else experienced this problem (nightmare)?  Any clues or suggestions (other than Hari Kari)?

Not you specifically ... but the network address range.   Verizon does block various network ranges associated with some portions of the world from attempting to send outbound mail via their servers -- typically because those networks tend to be large sources of spam and bogus messages -- particularly if they happen to be a current source attempted spam.   You will have to admit that it is extremely odd for someone using a server for a U.S. based ISP serving residential customers to be somewhere other than in the U.S. at least using a direct SMTP mail relay.
While you'd have to talk to Verizon support folks directly about the block and if they will remove it, that will take time.
What I advise people to do when traveling in scenarios like that is to simply use Verizon's web mail interface to send/receive messages.   Not a perfect solution, but allows getting the message out when traveling in a problematic area of the world.
Better still, if you are a frequent traveler, don't use Verizon's email as your primary provider but instead use something like Gmail which uses not only a web interface but also for POP/IMAP services leverages a secured channel for sending your credentials (your email password is being passed in the clear presently while you are traveling over potentially suspect networks thereby placing at risk the ability for others to potential see and access your email).   Gmail accounts can be setup to retrieve your Verizon mail automatically for you.
Unfortunately SMTP and POP and IMAP protocols were created a long time ago in an era when spammers and such were not a worry.   The world has changed, but these insecure protocols remain and thus will you will continue to see countermeasures such as you are encountering to reduce the exposure of networks.

  • Verizon email blocked from England and Italy.

Earlier this month, while in England for two days and Italy for a week, I was unable to log into my verizon.net email account.  I spent an hour on the chat function from Rome one evening with a Verizon tech trying to straighten out the mysterious problem.  It would not work with Thunderbird, my usual email program, or work by logging directly in the Verizon site.  The tech had me change my password several times, and although he himself was able to log into the Verizon site using my username from his end, I was unable to do this from Italy.
When I returned to the US, I got on the phone with a Verizon tech who had me change my password and--bingo--it worked, both in Thunderbird and in the Verizon site.  When I told him that I was unable to log in from England or Italy, he told me that Verizon email accounts were recently subject to hacks from sites outside the US, and for that reason Verizon had blocked access to email from abroad.  He said that they were working on a solution.
    Astonishing.
Verizon sent me no messages that this would happen, and I didn't see any notice on the Verizon site.  This meant that while I was in Italy I was unable to send email or retrieve messages from the very people whom I had traveled so far and spent so much money to see.  They were waiting there to hear from me, and for many of them I did not have a phone number with which to contact them.
What is more amazing is that the tech with whom I was communicating from Rome did not tell me this.  If he did not know that Verizon email in the US was blocked from access while abroad, he was wasting my time by changing all those passwords, and was incompetent to boot.  If he did know this, he was in effect lying to me and still wasting my time.
Will someone from Verizon please explain this?
Edit:  After posting this, I noticed the locked post above from britany_VZ (dated 2014!) regarding overseas access to Verizon email.  Since I have never read this forum before, this was my only notification of this.  An account holder should not be required to read a discussion forum to learn something like this.
I will point out that it still has little to do with my experience.  Nothing I did, and nothing that the Verizon tech did, would get me into my email account, and it remains that the tech with whom I discussed this a few days ago said that access to accounts was blocked--period.
Question:  when I return to Italy in May, will I be able to access my email account?

And further down the topics I just noticed the long thread on this very topic.  And I noticed how old it is, with no fix in sight.
Looks as if forwarding email is the only workaround--short of closing the account.
