Hi All,
am new to colloborative suites, the company i work for is seriously looking into getting IBM Domino but someone mentioned to me that java communication suite would be better.
my questions are;
1. how to you get to launch the applications once installed on a solaris box.do you need a client application?
2. apart from the price issue how much better is java communication suite as oppossed to the other systems out there?
if thsse questions were already asked before please be so kind to point them out for me. thank you for your much need input.

OWB Workflow Queue Listener

Hi ,
We are trying to schedule the OWB 3i mappings using OEM 2.2 and Workflow 2.6.2.We have a queue listener 'workflowqlsnr.bat' on the client side,but we need to have the Workflow Queue Listenter on the Server side.Please let me know what is the procedure in order to deploy the listener.sh in the server(Unix).
I have the following file installed in my owb3i\owb\bin\solaris directory on Windows 2000 -- workflowqlsnr.sh,workflowqlsnr1.sh.
Environment:
OWB 3i Client ( Windows 2000).
Server OS: Sun Solaris
Database : 8.1.7.3
OEM 2.2
OWF 2.6.2 Server/Client.

I solved the problem.
Procedure I followed :
UNINSTALL ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.
'GLOBAL_NAMES = FALSE' in init.ora file.
RESTARTED MY MACHINE.
INSTALL THE ORACLE WRAEHOUSE BUILDER SOFTAWARE.

first option:
Log in the database with DBA privilege and use the command:
alter system set GLOBAL_NAMES = false
second option:
Change the GLOBAL_NAMES to false in database system parameter file, init.ora

2. As per suggestion of one the friend
"A file named "Logon.Properties" under the directory $OWB_HOME/wbapp
in this file please set the property

How should I proceed further.

Copy & rename ident. file to new Loc&Cat in OpenBatch folder - dynamic

I am in the process of writing an Event script to deal with the folllowing situation:
During an automated upstream process certain files are dumped, prenamed (per naming convension) into the OpenBatch folder ready for standard batch upload the next morning.
The Event Script is designed to check if any of the qued files meet certain Loc, Cat & Per criteria, and if any file matches the criteria it should be copied to the end of the same OpenBatch file que, and then renamed to a different predetermined Loc, Cat & Per. This is based on a standard serial batch load setup.
I have chosen to acvtivate this process after each file reaches the AftLoad event, where the strLoc, strCat & strPer information is already captured in the AftLoad arguments.
Here is my script:

Why does left side text in my fillable PDF disappear when I export from ID6?

Hi there! Looking for urgent feedback on fillable forms.
I created a form using InDesign 6 - mainly text fields using the interactive: convert to text field function. I used these settings: Event: Release on Tap; Printable, Required, Scrollable; Font size: auto.
When I export the form using "Interactive PDF", what happens is that text entered to a fillable line is cut off on at the beginning of the line. Only half of the first character will appear.
I tried adjusting the width of the interactive text box, looking at paragraph alignment settings, and field settings in Acrobat X and can't figure out how to change text alignment within a field.
Seems simple enough, but haven't found a forum or tutorial that speaks to this. Help!

Tax code non credit means tax value will be added to material cost, and credit means you can take tax credit is it right ?
Correct me if im wrong ? Let me clear your requirement ?
Which version and which tax procedure you are using ? For the above requirement there are separate condition types for BED etc.
For example condition type JMOP is for BED, you can take credit, there is another condition type JMIP for BED, one you maintain this tax will be inventorised i.e. tax value will be added to te material.

Issue with "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel"

Hi All,
I have implemented the "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel". It worked fine. But to get a effect in the background color I have saved the "BWReports_Excel_print.css" as test.css & made some changes to test.css. Then used transaction ICM Monitor(SMICM) to reset the SAP Web Appilication Server Cache. Also provided the respective link for test.css in the web template.
But now the print is not working. Any idea???. I have also reverted back the link to
"BWReports_Excel_print.css" in the web template.
Still no solution.
Need a urgent feedback.

My issue is with the keybaord of my Macbook Pro. Just yesterday I noticed the following problems with my keyboard.
Error Issue:
Right Shift key+D
Right Shift key+C
Right Shift key+E
Left CMD+C
Are all not functioning. I don't know what happened, I ran the keyboard viewer and tested all these keys out, the weird thing is that I can use the alternate keys on right and left, like shift and CMD.
Please help your urgent feedback is appreciated.

I suggest trying the following (check after each step):
1) Reboot
2) Reset PRAM using this procedure: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
3) Reset the SMC: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3964
4) check in a different user space (maybe it's a preferences problem)
5) take to Apple store

Is it possible to change the value of the field in activity e.g. normal duration by formulation maiintained locally on standard network-activity through procedure dependancy when project or concerned network and activity is in Released status?
I am observing that when activity is in CRTD status, I can bring the change in Normal duration value by changing appropriate characteristics values ( base transaction is CJ20N). But similar change is not possible when NWK-Activity is in Rel status? Is there any solution available to this problem?

Problems with MI Server

Hello experts.
Himanshu here!
We had successfully installed the Web Application Server upto SP 15 and it was functioning successfully till Thursday night..
We have most of our test applications running successfully on it.
However,we were prompted to restart the machine as it had not been done for a long time.(in order to install Anti-virus updates).
So, I stopped all the instances in the SAP MMC console(Microsoft Management Console) and restarted the machine as prompted.
This has been done previously at least two-three times,however on restaring the machine and launching SAP MMC ,we were successfully able to view all the instances and the Server was functioning successfully.
However, on repeating the same procedure on Thursday,we failed to view any instances on the SAP MMC console.
Moreover, we tried restaring the SAP Instances through services.msc,to which we
got the following error message.
Cannot start the service. Logon failure.
Moreover, one of the SAP instances automatically got disabled.
Could anyone please guide us on how to recover the instances and start the successful functioning of the MI Server?
Please provide an urgent feedback, as work has come to a complete standstill

Check that created SAP accounts never expire
After the installation, check that created SAP accounts <sapsid>adm and SAPService<SID> have the option "Password never expires" selected in the user management. If this option is not selected, the installed system will not start anymore after 42 days have passed since the installation. In this case, SAP management console reports the error "The service did not start due to a logon failure" when trying to access the system. To fix the problem, you must set the option "Password never expires" for the SAP accounts.

i am filling setup tables for 2LIS_06_INV but the problem is we dont have to fill the invoices with the document type L* but these are created in large amount in system and so the setup table size is increasing unnecessarily is there any way to contol this?

In selective run you have only 3 fields which you can put selection upon.
The doc type field is not present.
