URGENT!!! Garageband is not working!!!

I installed Digicore audio and all was find for a while. But now Garageband will not run on any accounts, and something about my midi pops up everytime I try to open it! I have re-installed garageband twice and nothing worked. I made a new account and still nothing. I cannot wipe my computer down to factory but I need something because I desperately need to use Garageband since I am a recording artist. Help!

Check the generated HTML output. Is there any evidence that the HTML form will be submitted "automatically" whenever the value of the HTML dropdown element has changed? If there is, then you don't need to add it yourself. If there isn't, well, then it's obvious enough.

GarageBand 08 not working on PowerPC

Hi,
I have a refurbished G4 iBook with PowerPC that I purchased online and GarageBand has never worked properly on my iBook. The OS is Leopard 10.5.8 and GarageBand is 4.1.2. I downloaded the 4.1.2 update and reinstalled it (already had it) just to check if it was my installation. I did not receive installation media with my iBook.
Magic GarageBand does not work. If I select Magic GarageBand, I get a starting screen for it that is not completed. Some of the words are printed over other words. The window is mainly gray and black and white. The buttons are white with no words on them. The buttons click but don't do any action. If I don't try Magic GarageBand and just have the starting screen with the Grand Piano track and try to click Track Info, sometimes it doesn't resize the display to the left and show (what I think is) the Track Info panel at the right. When it does, nothing appears in that panel. The panel is gray. The "wood" frame appears consistently at the right of the window. It seems that I always get a crash when exiting after trying Track Info.
Many people have reported the same kind of error, especially Magic GarageBand 08 on Leopard using PowerPC. I have not seen any mention of the issue with Track Info.
I can record in the Grand Piano track using a music keyboard and a USB cable or using "music typing" where I can type with my iBook keyboard, but I cannot use Track Info with that track (as far as I understand). I've tried clicking the Track Info button and it will sometimes result in a "ding" and GarageBand will crash after that. I can use the Show Track Info button and it doesn't seem to get the "ding" but GarageBand will crash after exit.
I think I spent most of yesterday researching this (and had probably researched it before) and deleted the two often-mentioned GarageBand preferences files. I repaired permissions. I also deleted the emusicusbmidi driver. I created a new user account and tried to use GarageBand there, same errors as in my admin account. I do not think I have the other programs that are sometimes mentioned as conflicting with GarageBand. I looked through my Spotlight search and/or through the Applications folder and did not see them.
My crash report file seems much like others I've seen posted in forums. (I was probably reading forum notes from 2-5 years ago.) I looked through the file for plug-in or font and did not find font. Only one plug-in was mentioned. It did not seem to have error info near it in the listing. Do the "???"'s in the display indicate an issue? I see them most often near what seems to be one of the dynamic function calls.
I'm somewhat a new Mac user, though I have not used my iBook very extensively, mainly to access email and watch online webstreams. I usually accept the software updates that are offered (I think I always do). I think there was a major update I received after I got the iBook probably in 2009.
Does anyone have recommendations, including where else I might check for information? I've searched Google and Apple Support and Discussions. I am planning to also see if Google Groups is searched in a different way that just Google. I may also ask at a local store that specializes in Macs.

I had this problem, and it is now resolved. I got memtest, booted into single user mode and started the test. I realized that it told me I had an amount of memory that was much lower than what I expected (I have 8 GB). I canceled the test and shutdown the machine. I then half ejected each memory module on the side closest to the front (it's a quad g5) and re-seated the modules. I've had this problem once or twice in the past and each time pushing on the modules or re-seating them fixed it. It is a wonder I don't notice losing 2 GB of RAM especially since this machine is used for heavy-duty scientific calculations by me and my research group (I also use it to make podcasts of my lectures, hence GarageBand).
I then started the memtest again, but it was clear that it was going to take forever, so I decided to just see if the GarageBand Memory Test would be sufficient (i.e. try to make GB actually work). It did. Since my symptoms were so similar to those mentioned by others, I would certainly recommend just re-seating the memory. It is possible the modules just loosen themselves or that slight oxidation of the contacts leads to poor conduction. In any case I'm back in the garage!
First check: in About This Mac, see if you have the amount of memory you should
Second check: remove the modules and put them back
Third check: test each module using memtest (find with google)
This should solve the particular problem we have been having. It is strange that the problem seemed to be correlated with both Leopard updating and iLife 08.

My Garageband does not work with Symphonic Orechestra or USB Boombox

I have two Macs: the main one is an iMac with Intel Core Duo 2 GHz, 1.5 GB RAm and 250 Gb HD, with OSX 10.4.8, and all the latest software upgrades as I download them as soon as they are available. The secondary Mac is a normal iBook G4-800 with 640 Mb RAM and not always the most recent plugins, but since a few days also the latest ones.
I premit I do use GarageBand to produce professional level music and in time I bought several new music features. I am a Mac user since ever and I never (I say again NEVER) uploaded any software (or loop) who wasn't regularly licenced and usually bought from Applestore itself.
NOW THE PROBLEM:
Since I sold my old iMac G5 and implemented my CoreDuo I experienced a problem with Garageband: the external plugins for Garageband (such as the old and excellent "East West Quantum Lightning Symphonic Orchestra" but also the very recent USB "Classic Boombox" and "Ethnic Boombox" are not working. Those software instruments does appear correctly in the menus, but does not work. When I try to select them it appear this sentence (in italian, I will try to translate it approximateively):
"the plugin is not available. To add this loop using the same sound you heard in the browser loop, press the Option key and drag contemporary the loop in a new track"
This it happens all the times I try to set an instrument from EastWest or USB plugins from my iMac. As to make a confrontation, I installed the same softwares on my iBook and they work perfectly (with the only exception that I can't work from the iBook since is far too slow for me to use it with some profit).
Someone an help me or explain if there is anything I can do to fix my problem?
East West said the pluging should work (and to be honest it works correctly on the G4 as it did work properly with the G5). I own the USB software just since a few days, so I didn't ask them yet, but since is not just them, I guess is something else and do not know what may be the cause.
Some of you do have some hint or idea?

This is the final news I needed to get to complete my answer... I confronted myself the italian store and the US one and in the US one I didn't find this product...
As for the NI software, was so good that I just bought back my good "old" iMac G5 and will exchange it with this my Intel Mac. The G5 2 Ghz was good, performing as this new Intel (at times I even got the impression was more performing, but I believe is just an impression) and surely didn't have so many 3rd parties problems.
Meanwhile I filled every forum of NI and USB with my questions about the compatibility... and maybe I will be back to an Intel Mac when all would be OK, I'm not in a hurry!
By the way I had a listen to your work: GREAT!

New version of GarageBand is not working on iPhone 4!

Since I've upgraded to version 2.0, I can't make music with iPhone 4 anymore. The piano is late and it's IMPOSSIBLE to record complexed tracks.
I'm extremely disappointed and angry because GarageBand is the main software I use for making music.
Does someone have the same problem? Does someone know a way to fix this???
I also wanted to contact the developers for a refund but it seems to be impossible.
I payed 5 euros for an app which is not working anymore. Stupid upgrade!

I have a similar issue on my iPad mini, with Retina display. The keyboard keys delay or don't play, I can't play more than two keys at one time on the keyboard.

Urgent--custom servlet not working with https/gateway of the portal server

We have created the custom servlet to add some more authentication to the login screen. I have explained detaildely below.
We have set if password reset change password screen should come by using identity server.
First screen comes which asks �user id� and �password�.
after this next screen comes with �old password�, �New Password� and �Confirm Password� (as we have forcefully asked user to change password after reset by using identity server ).
On this page we have added two new filed �Date of Birth� and �Date of Joining�.
And we are forcefully transferring request to our Custom Servlet which will validate the �Date of Birth� and �Date of Joining� from the database and submit the same a form as required by Login Servlet to validate the default parameters �old Password�, �New Password� and �Confirm Password� (which is the default validation without adding custom Servlet).
This whole process is working with �http� protocol and giving �unable to connect� host with �https� protocol.
Without custom Servlet process is like this, which is working
Login (usrid, password) � Login (Old Password, New Password, Confirm Password) � Portal home Page
With custom Servlet , Which is not working with �https� Protocol. we are getting the message "Authentication Failed" screen.
Login (usrid, password) --> Login (Old Password, New Password, Confirm Password , Date of Birth, Date of Joinig) --> Custom Servlet validate Date of Birth, Date of Joining --> Login (Old password, new Password, Confirm Password) --> Protal Home Page
This one works with http, whereas this one gives the "Authentication Failed" screen with the https.
Please let me know if anybody have implemented this and help me to resolve the issue.

Urgent!flexSDK not working

Urgently needed(backlight not working)

You will probably need to have the upper assembly replaced; if you're lucky, maybe it's just some loose or disconnected wires. Either way, someone needs to open it up and work on it. Contact your local Apple Store or another authorized repair center:

However, the cost of doing a full screen replacement is probably more than an iBook G3 is worth. You (or someone) should be able to pull the data off the machine and have it ready when you buy your replacement.

IMovie, Garageband, iWeb not working?

Hey everyone, I recently got my macbook back from repairs (RSD). Everything hardware wise could'nt be better. However recently when tring to use iMovie, it loads the file I plan on working on then doesn't do anything. Just quits. No "quit unexpectly" pop-up either. I tried other iLife apps and Garageband did the same exact thing. In iWeb, it starts up but it won't let you do anything (creating a new page, etc.) Iphoto and iCal seem to work just fine. Any suggestions, or do I have to do a restore and repair?? Thanks everyone.

VERY URGENT : BW Iview not working from EP

What I want to do :

I want to integrate a BW Report into EP.
This BW report has a first page with drop down boxes in it.If we click on the drop down box it branches to the second page of the report which is a filtered result set.
How I have implemented it :
===========================
Approach 1 :

I created a BW iview and embedded the URL.
I have set rules in Apache Reverse Proxy to scan URLs which has the pattern /SAP/BW/ and /SAP( and direct the requests to the BW system ( e.g. SAPBWHOST.SUBDOMAIN.DOMAIN...)
The second rule is used bcoz when we click on the drop down it creates a URL with the format /SAP(.....)/BW...
Problem with Approach 1 :

Apache Reverse Proxy does not seem to handle the second rule.When Apache encounters a URL with /SAP(....)/BW I get an error message /SAPBW(....)/BW.
Approach 2 :

As a work around and also since we might have multiple BW systems in future...to make things easy for the future...we have created an alias at the BW side e.g. /BWABC.
So the expectation was that the requests would always start with /SAPABC and we would have a rule in Apache Reverse proxy to direct the request to BW system to handle it.
The problem with this appraoch is it no longer creates URLs with /SAP(..)/BW.
The request has /SAPABC.... then all other request have /SAP/..mime/ ... different types all starting with /SAP/
I cannot have a rule in Apache to route requests with /SAP/ to BW as /SAP/ goes to ITS currently.
In this second aproach I have created a URL Iview which starts with the Revsers Proxy name (HTTPS://..subdomain.domain) since if I use a BW Report Iview it always creates request like /SAP/BW/....I think it is coming from its PAR file.
Problem with Approach 2 :

The first page is visible but when I click on the drop down I get the message "Web application processing terminated"
I initially created a URL Iview with the URL HTTP://SAPBW HOST....BEX URL and it works good with all the pages.But I cannot use this approach since if I come from outside my company's network it will error(it does) out since the domains are different,which is the correct behaviour(as told by my Reverse Proxy people)
The SSO is working perfect between EP and BW.

We have a lead Portal which is Broadvision.The user enters into a HTTPS://...Domain.com website and the request goes thru Apache ---> EP...The request is NOT HTTPS,but it is HTTP as HTTPS is terminated at the Cisco switch before it reaches Apache/EP.So inshort the request uses HTTP Protocol but contians HTTPS in the request as a variable
We are using EP 6.0 SP12.
EP,BW 3.5 are HTTP systems.
Pls let me know how to fix these issues.

With Approach1 try adding a Rewrite Rule after your Proxy Pass statements.
Something like this
RewriteRule ^/(sap\(.*) http://host.sap.com:8010/$1 [P,L]
Apache does not like the ( ),but using this rewrite rule should take care of that. Remember to make sure that the Mod_Rewrite Module is loaded.

IMultiMix8USB and Garageband does not work

Hi all - I try to record out of my iMultiMix8USB into Garageband. The first minutes all seems very well. Good sound, all as expected. After a while a very noisy distortion suddenly comes up and the good sound disapperas ... So I have the same problem as reported in the tread below with Garageband 3. Is there no solution? I would be happy and I don't want to throw away my multimix.

It's unbelievable! It is working now!
No more distortions and noisy sounds when I'm recording with my iMultimix8USB to my Mac and Garageband. Oh I love it ... it's so nice ... the sound quality is amazing. Nothing compared to the direct analog connection with its regular noise and beeps ... and much better than the direct recording to the plugged-in iPod with its little but still disturbing distortions.
What the problem was?
OK ... download the USB-Audio-Driver from Yahama and select it within Garageband as your Audio Source. I have played now on my piano for at least 30 minutes and only best sound! At least what was produced by the technical epuipment . So the USB AUDIO CODEC driver was causing my problems.

!!!! Urgent Database Control Not working, Plz help !!!!!

I have a webservice and in the same server(weblogic 9.2) a data source(cgAppSource) is configured. the database control is not instanciating properly, it is always remains null despite the calling of webservice. I am getting NullPointerException in the webservice. First time I am using annotation to execute a SQL query. It is urgent.can anyone please help me. what code change I have to do in both the files.

In that link it says to 'Create a Beehive-enabled Server Domain' in which On the second page(named Select Domain Source), I need to place a check in the Apache Beehive checkbox . But in my machine when I follow the steps I dont find any such checkbox in the (named Select Domain Source) page. Is this the problem? I can see only two check boxes. The page looks like......

URGENT Help - navigation not working 1st time thru on deployed apps.

Using update 6, and exporting a WAR file that, by hook&crook, I can actually get to deploy on Sun Application Server Platform Edition 8.1(the 2005Q1 version) on a Linux box... the app is running under an SSL-enabled http-listener on the app server.
the app works fine on the dev machine.
on the Production machine above, the user is faced with a form and an action link... almost everytime when the user clicks the link the browser goes off into the weeds, saying "Waiting for mysite.com..." and the little animation for page loading is going....
and NOTHING happens, the app never sees the click, as in any log statements in the code don't get logged (even in the linkAction_action routine), the server is quiet, and nothing happens no matter how long you wait. It doesn't even run validation - it just hangs the browser....
if you click the stop button and do it AGAIN, it's immediate!! you get the next page in the process. (and no, I can't tell my users to keep trying...)
HELP? is this an app error or a SunAppServer issue??
This is really UGLY.

yes to all of the above. but when I moved the exact same app (*exact* same war file) to Tomcat 5.5.7, under a valid SSL cert (the same 'keystore' used above) the problem vanished.
I have to "ship".
SunAppServer 8.1 ain't ready for me. Sorry.

URGENT: Jsp:Useben Not working with HashMap : Please HELP!

I have a bean called DocBean (name, id - properties);
another bean called DocListBean (in that add() will put the DocBean to a hashtable- hashtable is created in its constructor.
the servlet creates the DocList & Doc Beans and by using add method, put all the doc in the doclist bean.
then, i put that in the request
req.setAttribute("doclistbean", doclistbean);
I use System.out.println for counting the no.of docbeans in the doclist. in java file it displays
System.out.println(docList.count() );
(displays .. : 5)
I have a jsp file, which has
<jsp:useBean id="docList" class="docListBean" scope="request"/>
then i display,
System.out.println(docList.count() );
this displays - 0
I don't understand why the bean has no(size=0) docBeans(hashtable) in JSP file ; but the servlet file displays all the docBeans(hashtable) with size 5.
Please help me..

Probably because your servlet put it into the session with the name of "doclistbean", but your JSP tries to use it with the name of "docList".
