Urgent help!! In 'export audio to movie' the final option to disable the original audio has disappeared. I am no longer allowed to deselect the audio tracks. Any ideas why Logic has stopped this?

I'm creating a movie with a new music track and follow the appropriate steps as in the manual:
Choose format options for the bounced audio file, and click OK.
In the dialog that appears, enter a name and target folder for the movie, and click Save.Another dialog opens, allowing you to choose which of the original movie’s audio tracks should be used in the new movie.
Select the audio track that you want to retain in the new movie, and click OK.
The QuickTime movie is exported to the selected folder; it contains all selected audio tracks, plus the part of your project that is encompassed by the start and end points of the QuickTime movie.
However, this final dialog option 'select the audio tracks of movie to keep in new movie' has disappeared!!! For some reason Logic goes straight to bouncing without the offer to remove the original audio. My final movie ends up with both sets of audios. Any ideas please???

It is still there and Logic did not remove it.
Did you do some trouble shooting.
Try to load a different video (with different codec) to see if it is video file related
Try a new (empty) project to see if it is project related
Try to remove Logic preferences (move the original back if this wasn't the problem because the file contains other info you might not want to lose)

Our Mac was working fine last Monday, then Tuesday morning one of our current inboxes was gone, and an old, archived inbox was restored--twice. Other than some trouble-shooting on Tuesday, we've pretty much left things alone as we were busy doing other stuff.
I tried restoring the files from Time Machine, but it didn't work. I followed plisk restore instructions--nothing. It's a mess. We have no idea what would have caused this. We're above average users--we weren't mucking about with anything. It was just so strange.
I went back into Time Machine, and it just makes no sense that I can't restore anything. We're now missing important emails--nothing too tragic, but still a pain in the butt. Thankfully the current inbox that was somehow deleted had a back-up on our email server, but the archived/deleted inbox file that was magically restored had all the archived emails that we kept deleted.
Any ideas would be wonderful.

Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If 10.7.0 or later...
Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk. -
Hi, I keep getting an error message saying "the itunes library cannot be saved. an unknown error occurred. (-50). Any ideas on how to stop this appearing? Thanks!
Error -50 is a very unhelpful generic communications error with a number of possible causes. Something between the drive to which you are downloading and the drive from which it is all coming is not working correctly, which probably leaves several hundred options.

I've created various playlists on my iphone5. Everytime I sync my phone with itunes on my PC I lose these playlist. Any ideas on how to stop this happening? I've tried various methods but the sync always results in the playlists which I've set-up on itunes on my PC over-writing my mobile created playlists. Having just purchased an iphone 5s I want to ensure that my iphone playlists transfer over ok to my new phone.

I switched my number to my daughters iPhone 4 and she got an iPhone 5. When I send txt using iMessage, she is getting a copy of the txt on her phone as well. Any idea on how to stop this?
This occurs when two people share the same apple id for imessage.
settings - message - send & receive - uncheck or remove the apple id.
do the same for start a new conversation. -
I own the 4s and my BT Planttronics Pro works fine with calls but does not work to listen to music?
Any ideas on how to correct this?
Thanks-VitaleyesI don't know what they call it, but my plantronics voyager pro, and my wifes plantronics voyager pro+ will not let you hear music through the headset. My Blueant T1 does support it and plays the music through the deadset.

New (3mo) macbook air screen goes black and sometimes won't come back on after I unplug it from the power cord. Any ideas why it is doing this? Sometimes I have to hold power button for 10 seconds for it to shut off then back on. Sometimes holding the power button for a second is enough for it to come back on.
I took it to the Genius Bar, and they identified it as a hardware issue. Just got it back today. Parts replaced were:
620-5629 Display Module — Symptom: Distored/blurred/focus video issue
605-3284 Top Case with Keyboard — Symptom: specific key(s) do not work
So far so good. I'd suggest taking it in and not trying to work around it — it's a rare hardware issue (given the number of threads about it) and should be replaced. -
Since I updated my iPad 2,it makes a shutter sound ( like its taking a picture) every time I close its cover,or even when I just set it down. Any idea on how to fix this? Thank you!

This is nerve-wracking after just having sorted thru 600 event photos! (see attached screenshots w/version info) It started doing this today: The first time, LR completely forgot what catalog it was using (scared the crap out of me, but all my unsaved work is still there.). Also, the lock file had to be deleted. On subsequent crashes, it gets to a certain place in gallery mode, and then fails. If I am quick, I can click on something old and exit LR before it fails, and then it only fails when I return to my current work. Checking integrity has no effect.
This looks just like what happened to me a year ago in V3, and it turned out to be a corrupt catalog entry/file. Once the physical and catalog photo were deleted, the crashing stopped. The problem is it took HOURS of starting LR and watching it crash while using the binary search method of locating the bad entry. It does not help that LR does not save your current navigation in real time.
At any rate the "check integrity" function should be finding this (so that I dont have to), and I would consider that to be a bug. But the underlying bug is the crash itself.

It looks like you either have a corrupt gallery or a corrupted preference file. Unfortunately, the only way you're going to get Lr to repoen the catalog to reopen without crashing is to delete the preference file. You'll then need to repoen the catalog by doubling clicking on it or using the 'Open with' command. When Lr reopens it will be in the Library module. Try switching to gallery and hope that the corruption is cleared. -
Any idea why British Eurosport stopped working. Have reinstalled app and reset network settings.
The app suddenly stopped working.

I already contacted British Eurosport , it was them that suggested reinstalling the app.
I don't know of anything that has changed since it did work.

Have two iPhones with the same id as I got hubbie one in week and when I got it they asked for email address so I gave the one we use, so when my husband started phone up he just put my password in. When he tried to back his numbers on iCloud they all appeared on my phone and now I can't delete his numbers without them deleting on his phone as well . Any help would be appreciated.
You'll have to migrate one of the phones to a different account, then delete the other person's data from each account (you can continue to share the same Apple ID for purchasing from the iTunes and app stores).
Decide which iPhone will be keeping the current iCloud account. On the one that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that are not in your camera roll or backed up somewhere else save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account.
Finally, go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't from each account. -

or something like thatProbably the easiest way is to check and see if e.getKeyChar() < a space character or if e.getKeyCode() >= 127. You can use e.getModifiers() to get the modifier, etc... -- take a look at the documentation for java.awt.event.KeyEvent class.

I tried to update the software for my iPhone 4S, 16 GB to the most recent version (8.1?). I don't know what I was updating from, because I can't access that, but it was whatever was installed on it (I got it about a year ago, so probably 6.something).
It froze, and now won't turn off, or on, or sync with my macbook plus, which is what I have always sync'd it to. (I backed it up and sync'd it right before I tried to update the software.)
Since it originally froze almost 3 hours ago, it shows a white screen with the apple on it and a line underneath. When I try to sync with my laptop, it says it needs me to enter a passcode on the phone, which I can't enter because the screen is frozen. So I'm unable to access the iPhone portion of iTunes.
I have tried to turn it off, with no luck. I have tried rebooting my laptop and syncing, but I still get the same result.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
I really wanted to wait to update the software, but I was having internet connectivity issues for the past 3 weeks, and Sprint suggested updating the phone's software.

Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, the iPhone won't update and is stuck. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

This has happened a few times now. It always seems to happen at the start of the month as well so I can not use mobile data for the rest of the month.
Apple are just wasting my money because of a fault in their system. Really need to get this sorted!This happened to me, too. I found that the new Podcast app goes wild. The iPad was in the computer case all day and ate up 5GB of data, and that was on ATT 3G. Battery power was down to 60% and the iPad was warm. Anyway, I opened "Settings" and scrolled down to and opened "Podcast". There I found a switch to turn off the cellular data for Podcast downloads. Evidently the default setting by Apple is ON... Oh well. I hope that this kills that problem.
