URGENT: How to delete the request in version management

Hi,
Please let me know how to delete a request in version management whcih is not released yet.
I have released a request to quality server for an object. After that I was asked to make some changes to that object as there are some defects.
So, i have created a new request and proceeded with the changes. Under that request I have made some changes and activated. but the result is worthless. So, I want to get the result of the object which i have released. i.e. i want to get back only the released request changes.

yeah............goto version management......first ull hav ur new request......
below that ull have ur previous request right.............
check the check box of ur previous request.............
and click retrine button.......all changes made in ur latest request ll be retrived back to its previous version.........
come back activete it.............in ur program ull not find ur new useless changes........release it...........

Hi,
Go to SE10,select the request which you wnat to delete.You will find a delete icon on the top.Select it.
This will delete the request.
Make sure that this request is the one which is under ur ID.If you want to delete the request which is under other ID,it wont allow to delete.

I JUST downloaded it tonight and my computer doesn't have that little edit bar to work with so I can download the proper Adobe player and my internet has been screwed up ever since I downloaded the new version of Firefox. I just want the old version of it back since I apparently can't download the Adobe stuff that is necessary to keep my computer safe from Hackers. It sure would have been nice to know there was an issue with the new Firefox Update BEFORE I uploaded it. I have Vista which is usually an issue with both Adobe and Firefox. I don't seem to be able to run much of Adobe at all on my computer because of the Vista.

I have also noticed all my settings won't stay set, example....I removed the check mark from "third party cookies", the when I close Firefox and reopen the check mark is back, also my tool bar has screwed up....can't reset, been having trouble the up grade.

How to delete the Requset Number in Development Client.Already i transported this Req. Number to Tesing Client.

For what purpose, deleting the request number won't restore your dev system. You can remove the request from the import queues via transaction STMS to insure it will not be accidentally imported.
You can usually only destroy a request in source system if it has not been released and all objects are unlocked, but this is risky in some cases and may cause a loss of information or coherence.

How to delete the request in Direct Update DSO

Dear Gurus,
I have a situation where I have an invalid characteristic loaded into the Direct update DSO. This is related to Spend Performance Management. This DSO is loaded through a data source with the option Without Archive. So, I cant see any request in this DSO. This DSO will then supply data to another DSO which is standard DSO.
The data Activation job in the standard DSO is failing.
My question is I have to delete the request from the Direct Update DSO and then load it to Standard DSO. I have already repaired the data in PSA.
Your Kind help is greatly appreciated.

You must be using some fill or delete APIs to fill the data in Direct update DSO.You can't create transformation to fill the data in DIrect Update DSO as you do in Standard DSO.You will not see request number under the manage tab for direct update dso for any load.
Whenever you will fill the Direct update DSO next time,previous data gets deleted automatcally. For Direct update DSO there can only be a Full Update.So just load the data using API's and previous data will get deleted automatically

Following are the steps mentioned in this thread
1. RSA1 -->Info provider >0Material>Right Click-->Display
2. One screen will come , Select the monitor icon to view that (not the one when you go with Manage of 0Material_attr).
3. In the monitor screen you will see Refresh icon , Refresh that
screen , Now the status will change , after 2 -3 refreshes you
will see the request turning to red.
4. Now go back to the manage tab of the 0Material attribute , You
can delete now.

I am currently designing my BI Model to deliver the APO DP requirements.
It would be great if some one can give me an Idea how to achieve the below:
We have a requirement that needs to me maintained the Data as Versions.
1. We are extracting the Data form APO DP planning area and maintaining the Versions based on the Forecast Version in BI. The Forecast Version in BI will hold the Versions in Calmonth format (MMYYYY).
2. Load frequency-- Monthly load for (36 months worth of forecast data)
3. Need to maintain 12 Versions and once we reach the 13th Version (13th load) then we need to delete the 1st Version
4. Data Flow details:
Export DataSource(PSA)> W.O-DSO->CUBE

My Requirement is: We load monthly once to Standard DSO and Cube form WO DSO.
|---> Standard DSO
WO-DSO-|
|---> Standard CUBE
We generate the Forecast Version based on the System Date (we take Month to Forecast Version Object).
Example: We started loading form March-2008. We loaded 12 Versions by Feb-2009. When we do the next load which is 13th load, we want to delete the data we loaded on March-2008 from both DSO and CUBE.

but in the system , there are no "Project 1522DJ110001". so the user can't create the project "1522DJ110001".

When I select Delete Project Version from Extras menu in CN41, its asking session number and version.
In session number no serch help is avialble. I am keeping it blank and seleting RELEASED in version.
After pressing enter I am getting an error Project Version RELEASED cannot be deleted??
Let me the exact steps to deleted the Project Version.

You cannot delete the request individually but you can one of the following:
1. Do a selective deletion from the cube. RSA1 -> Cube -> Contents -> selective deletion.
2. Delete all the data in the cube and then reconstruct only the required request ids. This would work only if you have the PSA available for all the requests.
3. Reverse posting is another possibility.

When I downloaded a new version of Firefox the old version was never deleted, and now I can't tell which is the new and how to delete the old.?

If you mean that you see both version listed in Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs then you most likely only have the version with the highest number installed. You posted with a Firefox 3.6.6 user agent. It can happen that the updater didn't remove or updated the registry keys properly and left the old keys.

You can't delete it.
Why do you need to? Why can't you just work with your documents like everyone else does, by opening iWork software on your Mac and using File > Open, etc to see your docs that are in iCloud? Why would you need to use your browser?

Being A NEW request it has Delevelopment correction ABDK904193 under main request ABDK903667, should I double click on ABDK904193 FIRST AND then go to request editor and change - display and select all request and delete it and save and then delete main request ABDK903667. If I do this will there be any problems on Process chain Objects such as locking or unlocking. let me know if there are any more steps that need to be taken to avoid any trouble.

Hi Hardeep,
Allways delete child node and then parent node.Coz Parent node does not allow you to delete straight away so first delete child node either by double clicking and select all>>delete or individually select each object by placing cursor on it and say Delete by pressing the Delete Icon..it will prompt u message obj is locked press delete that will delete the object, subsequently when all objects are deleted then delete the request also.
when u delete a request all the objects saved or locked onto that request are released or unlocked.
So all the objects that were previously locked or saved onto a req are now ready to save into another req.
Simply say, once the objects are deleted from the req they are independent again with latest changes and readily available to save onto a diff req.
another option is release the req but do not transport it to target system.

You cannot delete the request as its compressed as all the data would have been moved to E table ..
If you have the double records you may use the selective deletion .

How to delete the rollup and compress request from the cube

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement, one request was updated into the cube and it was been rollup and then compressed. As the request was compressed so based on request id we cant perform the deletion.
So it is possible with selective deletion. Now before performing the selective deletion do i need to deactivate the aggregates.
Help me out on this.

U hav to deactivate the aggregates................bcoz.........Selective deletion is only possible with uncompressed requests...............ie from F fact table...........after compression data moves from F fact table to E fact table.............. you can't do selective deletion on E fact table.........So first deactivate the aggregates............then do the selective deletion..............then again activate the aggregates..............and do the aggregate filling job manually in RSA1..............but I will suggest u delete the request...............bcoz any how u hav to deactivate the aggregates............and in case of selective deletion u hav to be very particular................if ur load is not taking much time............then delete the request and repeat the load............
