here is an urgent issue
_error: records not maintained in mov. type update control for 262 x x w l - v
But for 262 V was not maintained
I am not able to enter new entry and not able to change
Could any one suggest.

    While doing the stock Posting From quality to Unrest - Automatic 321 Movment type is happening
    But my client neads to identify how many qty from custmer return is passed to unrestricted from
    quality.
   i have problem in identify since 01 and 04 and also 05 all are having the same mvt since it is automatic
Can it be possible to chnage the mvt for the particular Inspection type 05.
kindly give me is there any way to solve this issue.

No need of changing movement type for the same. You have too many options to get this fugure
You can use Tcode se16, se16n and in the table QALS you will be able to know the quantity posted to unrestricted by selecting 05 inspection and from to date in input for the table view
else go to the standard report . Tcode MCXC, MCXI you will get the report based on inspection type and period

Difference between header and item movement types in MIGO

Dear all,
what is the difference between movement type entered in header of MIGO and item level?
not all movements are possible in header. how it is controlled? may not be in OMJJ

Hi Gajanan,
Movement types in Standard SAP are predefined. You can also create a new movement type, but generally it is not required.
In MIGO ,movement types on right hand side corner changes as per the transaction your are carrying out in header level like
Good reciept, Good issue, , Cancellation, subsequent adjustment, Remove from storage, placer in storage etc.....
As you go for transaction and make allocation in the allocation field, the movement type changes.

Returm PO Vs movement type 102

Hello,
Can anybody tell me the difference between Return PO and transaction with movement type 102 ?
In which cases we should go for return PO and in which cases return with 102?
I want to return material to supplier for rework ?

Hi,
For return PO, you have to make the PO with the returns indicator and against it you do GR. In background it will be done with movement type 161. But no need to change 101 to 161. While you put returns purchase order as reference, automatically the movement type changes. This case will be followed, when you don't have invoice.
If you have invoice, that will be done through movement type 122 return delivery to vendor.
Doing 102, is just reversing the material document.

MM Change Value String from new Movement Type. (URGENT)

We have copied moviment type 501 and we need to change the value string to this movement.
So after copy to 933 and creates value string ZA01 copied from WA01 , which tables should I change to value string of movment type use it ?

Could you please tell us what you want to achive with this setting though iam 99% sure that what you told in this thread cannot be done. WE always try to create the new movement types using exisiting movement types. So , transaction key/ Value string are copied over . So, i highly doubt if you can even change those fields as they are defined by SAP and used as part of their code and highly recommends not to attempt to play with them.
If you want, you can check in OMWN and OMJJ to see that they are uneditable..
please let us know what you want to achive with this so that we can try to help you.

Get the Schedule Line Category used in Sales order. Go to VA03, here double click on the sales order line item and go to "Schedule Lines" tab, here get the Schedule Line category.
And then go to VOV6 and double click the Schedule Line category and in detailed screen, change the movement type.
Then try for Delivery and PGI.

How to change moving average price with movement type 501

Hi Gurus,
Our client procures stock item with P-Card and use the movement type 501 to receive into the stock. The value of these items are updated with the moving average price, most of the time the current purchase price is different than current moving average price, so client wants to change the moving average at the time of receiving the goods into the system. Can some one explain is it possible or not. If possible how can we adjust the price? Client doesnu2019t want to go modify the price with other transaction. They want to modify while receiving with MIGO.

You need to goto transaction OMJJ, select the movement type as 501.
Then double click on "Field selection-Enjoy transaction".
Add the field EXWBR & make it optional.
Now when you goto MIGO & enter 501 movement type you will find the Ext amount in LC field on Quantity tab page.
Enter the amount in this field during the GR.

How to restrict the users not to change receiving batch no. in 305 mov.type

Dear MM Guru,
We are using mov.type 303 & 305 for transferring the materials from one plant to another plant. t.code is MB1B (Non split valued item)
While receive the goods through 305 mov.type the user having the chance to change the receiving batch number. To control this changes, is there a way where we can restrict the users not to do the changes in receiving batch no. or can we do the GR with reference to the material document 303 mov.type.

Generally there is a possibility to change the batch no. If you want to restrict it means go for enhancement. Use BADI to acheive this.In MB_MIGO_BADI you can set not to change the batch no. Hope it works. Thanking you.

How to change movement type 531 for by-product ???

While creating production order (CO01), by-product component with negative quantity is automatically assigned movement type 531. Can anybody tell how this movement type is picked automatically ? How can it be changed to some other movement type (say Z31 i.e. copy of movement type 531) ?

It might be better if i share it with you.While creating the order SAP automaticallly assigns the movement type.The order created is of Devlopment class CO and GI-BY-Order is by default 531.
As you were talking about.SAP has provided us the transaction OPKA to adjust if the change is required.So please give it a try.Hoping it be you help.

Change the behavior for movement type 309 - Account post PRD

Dear friends ,
We need to transfer material to material using movement type 309.
These material are using price control "S".
When we transfer from material A to material B the price difference stay stopped in the PRD account.
We need to revaluate the material B automatically and not let the price difference stopped in the PRD... when we run the Material Costs..via Material ledger.
Does anyone knows a way to change this behavior ?

One more thing...
We cannot change the valuation from S to V in the material B.
Regarding the PRD postings... when the Controlling team runs the Material Ledger the price for material B should be changed/updated automatically, Am I right ?
And then the PRD account must be cleared...
Or I continue to do the MR22 manuall...or better... create an Abap program to run automatically clearing the PRD posting agains't the material via MR22 to correct the cost of this material.

May I ask what are you refer to for MM? It seems like movement type to me, however, I can't find movement type field in the structure within the component of EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002. Appreciate if you could shed some light on this.

Yes.. you are correct. But with the info that is provided by EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002, you should be able to identify the proper material document in table MSEG which will have the material movement.
You can use the values of plant, batch, material number, Purchase order number, Order number, item number, storage location as well as the current date since the exit would normally be executed on the same date the material movement was done. You'd also probably only execute the logic if QKZ is "X".

Is there any way "material movement type" can be changed once its been determined in the delivery, or durin delivery creation (after creating the sales order)
is it possible to override the material movement type creation, (apart from the control which we get by the schedule item category field).
Is there any way to change the material movement type in a deliver document ?

That could be correct. If all the conditions are known at the time of sales order then you can try and use the MV45AFZZ and form to move data into VBEP and move a different schedule line category that has a different movement type. Please check this option and it would work. We used it in a couple of situations in our client here. You need to configure and assign the schedule line category as manual one in the config.
