Urgent!! My screen has quit on me and I need navigational help!

A couple days ago the screen of my iPod nano stopped working. It lights up but I can't see anything. I know the iPod itself still works because yesterday I luckily found my way to a nike+ workout. Having joined a challenge, I really need to keep logging my miles until I can get a new iPod!
Can anyone please please list what's on the menus? I can hear the clicks as I go through each menu so if I can know what each option is then I can still navigate blindly.
For example, I'm pretty sure my main menu is:
1. Music
2. Photos
3. Extras
4. Settings
5. Shuffle Songs
6. Backlight
Next step is the Extras menu, which I'm not sure of. I hear 7 clicks, so 8 options.
1. Clock
2. Games
3. Contacts
4. Calendar
5. Nike + ???
6. Notes
7. Stopwatch
8. ** What am I leaving out?**
Then I'm completely lost. Someone, PLEASE, HELP!!!! I hope this is ok with Apple, I know I need to buy another or at least get this one repaired, but it's going to take a little while.

HorseNHound14, I'm sorry you had to go through this experience. I understand how frustrating this is for you. I looked up your device in our system so that I could search for a battery replacement but was unable to locate any in our inventory. When a phone is released, the manufacturer produces a certain amount of accessories and we make that inventory available for our customers. Once the manufacture stops making that particular device, they stop producing accessories and parts for that device. We continue to sell them until there sold out, which is the reason we don't have a battery for your phone. 
I do recommend trying some of the suggestions given by SuzyQ. Additionally, if you call Asurion and they allow you to file a claim and your phone is not in stock, they will offer you a replacement that is comparable. This replacement phone will include a battery.
Other than searching third party stores and online options, you may speak with us and we can check your account for eligible upgrade options also.

    Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
    How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.

    Start by emptying the InDesign Recovery folder.

    Try restarting your Mac.
    If that doesn't help, open a Finder window. Select your Home folder (it has a small house icon) in the Sidebar on the left.
    Now open the Library folder then the Prefernces folder.
    Move the com.apple.desktop.plist file to the Trash. Restart your Mac one more time.

    Hello cor-el, thanks for your reply. I changed my settings for downloads to desktop and it has appeared on there. When I double click I am asked which program I want to open file. I click firefox and another box "opening install" says I have chosen to open the file which is an application and do I want to save it. This is the only real option so I press save file. I get a box saying this is an executable file which may contain viruses - do you want to run. I press ok and the final box showing C drive file name and desktop appears stating application not found.
    This happens the same whenever I try to install.
    To my untrained eye the application is not being recognised as an application and I cannot work out how to get it to do that.
    My plugin is still showing as out of date.
    Is there anything you could suggest. Thanks for your time.

  • Power Map has encountered an error and it needs to close, after changing the graphic settings

    I've been using the updated Power Map tool successfully over the past few days.
    Last night I was playing around with the graphics settings that can be found under the File Tab (I know that should teach me from playing around and following the user guide :-) ) and I changed the detail from Medium to High (I think) and now all that happens
    when I click on create a new tour or select an existing tour is
    "Power Map has encountered an error and it needs to close. Power Map can collection information about the error and create an e-mail which you will be able to send to Microsoft and help us fix the problem. Do you want to do this?"

    I've removed Power Map from the system, restarted, repaired Office, restarted and reinstalled Power Map but the problem remains. So i'm guessing that the setting I changed are stored in the Registry or File System somewhere.

    If the battery is not flat, try a reset.
    Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

    My iPad 1 screen has gone to black when it is turned on and willl not work. Screen stays blue/green for about 30 seconds and then turns off. Unit is charged fully and has been updated to current operating software. Gerry

    Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
    If that doesn't work then you could see if you can get it into recovery mode and restore it to your last backup : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808
    But you might need to contact Apple.

  • Screen has black/dead pixels and line across screen.

    My iphone is still under its one year warranty. I can not recall any drops or it ever being handled roughly, however I have a black/gray blob of dead pixels in the left corner and my screen has a shiny line that looks like a crack of the LCD, however the glass screen is not cracked in any way that I can tell. I think the dead pixels are spreading as well. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know if this is under warranty? I live over an hour and a half from the nearest apple store so I really don't want to take a special trip to see a genius only to find out that I will have to pay $200 to get this fixed. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

    If it is still under warranty, they should replace the screen without charging you. The same thing happened to me a few months ago and they replaced it for free. You might have to make the long trip to the store but they shouldn't charge you and it will take about 30 minutes. Call to make an appointment first if you plan to go to the apple store.
