URGENT! Need hel for installing Photoshop Elements to my mac

Hi,
I'm  having this problem since 1 month ago,
I bought Photoshop elements 10 but when i try to install it to my MACBook Pro (Version 10.7.4), I can't install it
I insert the dvd and everything runs perfectly, it ask for my Adobe ID and then for my serial number, but when the program is downloading it suddenly ejects the dvd and stop the installation, then it appears me Exit Code 7
I've tried so many times to install it, except it never works out.
Yesterday i've tried to download it from Adobe.com but the Adobe photoshop Elements 10 is not available to downloading it online anymore, cause version 11 is already out. Still, i download Photoshop Elements 11 as a trial for then trying to insert my serial number from Photoshop Elements 10, but as i though it doesn't work
Please help me, i want to start using my product

See if this helps.

It says CS5, but that's what PSE 10 is based on, so it should work for PSE, too. You can never upgrade to a different version of PSE just  by entering the serial number from an older version. Whole number upgrades (i.e., 5 to 7, 10 to 11) are paid upgrades only.

I bought at Media Market the CD for installing Photoshop Elements 13 and Premiere Elements 13 but I have no disc drive. Is it possible to install and register it online?

I was in the same boat as you, so I went to Best Buy and purchased the box (on sale, by the way). I then downloaded the trials separately for Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements from the Adobe product site.
In the box you should have been given 2 discs (one for Photoshop Elements (PS) and one for Premiere Elements (PE)) and something called a "redemption code" on a square of colorful cardboard with instructions on how to get your serial keys for installation. The single redemption code is NOT the serial/product key you use to install your purchase. Once you follow the instructions on this card you will be shown two serial/product codes, one each for PE and PS. Write them down, print them, whatever, you will need them during installation.
Now go to the downloaded trial file(s) and run the installer, either for PE first or PS, it makes no difference. During the installation you will be asked if you want to start a trial or use a serial/product code. Choose "I have a code". Enter the product key and you will be golden. Repeat for the other program.
    Hope this helps!

  • Need to re-install Photoshop Elements. Where can I download it? [was: Download question]

I bought a new Mac Pro which doesn't have a disk drive. How can I download photoshop elements onto my computer? I have already purchased the program on a disk and have it on my dell laptop.

    Which version?
PSE13 - download the trial version from Adobe then enter your serial number.

  • Is it OK to install Photoshop Elements 12 on Mac OS 10.9.2?

My old Photoshop Elements6 is not working in 10.9.2. Am thinking of getting the new Photoshop Elements 12 on disk, but have heard too many complaints about the difficulties of even installing in 10.9.2. Adobe sez ok on 10.9. Has anyone had any experience with 10.9.2? Acres of real estate on HD so that should not be problem.

In both the HD/Library/Application Support and the User/Home/Library/Application Support folders there's an Adobe folder that will have some Bridge support files in it.
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
    Screenshots are from PSE 10
Note 1:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.
Note 2:  editing a RAW file with either PSE or PS creates a new file which must be saved outside of iPhoto, i.e. the Desktop, and imported as a new photo into the iPhoto Library.

  • Problem to install Photoshop Elements 6 in MAC

I just buyed the Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, and was really happy to install it on my MAC. I have several problems, installing it always go throw the process and then says there was a problem on the installation with no more details.
I think it may be because my sofware version is MAC OS X v10.5.6, and in the requirements it specify v10.5.2, could it be that the reason why I can not install it? How can I solve this problem?
Thank you for all the help you could give me

In any case, to fix things, you need to remove as much of what got installed as you can (via the uninstall components part of the installer if you can, manually if not), then download and run this:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=kb401056&sliceId=1
Create a new admin user and run the install from there. Disable any antivirus software or anything from Norton/Symantec before installing. Repair permissions when you're done. You can delete the new account if it works.

  • How do I install Photoshop Elements 10 on Mac

I can't even figure out how to get started on this.  I bought the discs instead of downloading off of the internet.  When I pop the first disc in, an icon appears on my desktop.  Inside are folders with the titles:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 10, Autorun.inf, Read Me, Adobe Reader 10, Autoplay, and Autoplay.exe
I've clicked on each of them and nothing seems to happen.
When I open Autorun, it says, "The file format of the file AUTORUN.INF is unknown. You may uncheck the option "Detect only clear formats" in the prefs.  (I don't know what this means)
I've tried clicking on other things within various folders, but, again, nothing seems to happen.
How do I even start to install this software when the company doesn't explain what I'm supposed to do?  My Mac is a Mac OS X 10.6.8.  Thanks.

No 1 is Windows 32 bit
No 2 is Windows 64 bit
    You need No 3.

  • Possible to install Photoshop Elements 6 on Mac OS 10.7.5?

I help a friend who bought Photoshop Elements 6 a long time ago but never openned the box. I inserted the CD and started the Set Up bottun but there was a window pop up saying
    Setup Error
Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance.
please kindly advice what to do

If your Mac is a new machine/OS it is highly unlikely that PSE6 will be able to be installed/used with it.

I had pretty much the same error code, but a different font was named. Between the suggestion from Manish_1988 and the page linked by Vikrant Ral, I finally got my installation to work. Here's what I did:
    1. Open a Terminal window and "cd /Library/Fonts"
    2. Remove all of the fonts in the family that the error message is complaining about. In my case, the offending font in the error message was ACaslonPro-Regular.otf. I created a new subdir under /Library/Fonts, then moved all of the ACaslonPro* files to the new subdir. Commands were:
         sudo mkdir old_fonts
         sudo mv ACaslonPro* old_fonts
    3. Ran the installation again and it completed without errors.
I think I was doing all of this in Safe Mode (based on the advice from http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/errors-exit-code-6-exit.html), but I'm not sure that was necessary. I did previously have Photoshop Elements 6 on this machine, which I believe is what put those fonts there in the first place.
Also, before I moved the fonts, I had a font called ACaslonPro-Semibold.otf.incompleteMigration, whose size was 0 bytes. Maybe this file was causing the problem, but I don't know. I think this file may have resulted from an error a couple years ago when I migrated an old MacBook to a new machine.
    Hope this helps

  • Re: Need Templates For Adobe Photoshop Elements 10

I have been wondering the same thing?! I wanted to get templates from a company that I order prints from. Can you download templates to elements 10? Because I have no clue how to. Or I Need to Try Photo Shop Design.
    Lisa

Premade temples. I see where they have there templates. Whcc has them for there prints and products. You need to download them and add them to photoshop( which I either need to keep trying or It just wont work for elements 10.)  It will have there template ,such as circle. So when you are ready to order its going to fit the item i am ordering too.. and not be cut off. I could just build one in Photoshop and guess. Keep everything in the middle. I use this for photography products. Like, Photo Press cards, Photo albums, bookmarkers, stickers, and ad's. I just don't want to get the CS3 right now. Its outta my price range.
I do like how there are so many backgrounds to elements 10. I just need to keep messing with it. I hope this program works for me.

  • Can't Install Photoshop Elements

I am attempting to install Photoshop Elements 10 on a Mac Pro running OS 10.6.8.
The software appears to install successfully. However, Adobe forces you to register. There is a window where I “Sign In” with my Adobe ID. I am using the same Adobe ID that I use with this forum. It does not work.
A window pops up that reads, “Photoshop.com services are currently unavailable.  Please try again later or check your network connections. Error 400.”   Can I use the Adobe ID that I use with this forum for installing Photoshop elements 10?  Do I need to create an additional, different, Adobe ID in order to install this software? Or is this just another Adobe installation bug?
    Thanks

I find it shocking that Adobe would not keep that webpage functioning in "some manner" to avoid the software problems during installation. I researched this issue elsewhere on the Internet and found many other users with the same problem.
I was able to fix this on my own by changing a setting to something like “always start with editor”.  I have no desire to use the cloud in any way to store anything.
In the next several days I plan to attempt to install Adobe Premiere elements.  Can I expect the same issues of there?
    Thanks for your help.
