Urgent on Smartforms

Dear SAP Techs,
I am working on SAP AFS. wanted to create Smartforms on purchase order. This purchase order will be common for US, Canada, Germany, UK and Other Asia- Pacific Countries.
Should I use copy Standard Purchase Order form /smb40/mmpo_l or import J_3A_MEDRUCK which is standard AFS Purchase Order SAP Script.
Will there be any problems if I import SAP Script form. Will there be any issues with importing scripts.

For Every SAP Script there is assiciated Print Program, And so for Smart form, Right ??
Here My Question is, If I import a SAP Script to Smartform then What will be the Print program that I should use for my Smartform.
Can I use the same Print Program which is associated with SAP Script.

Hi,
Check this setting in your smart form.
Global Settings --> Form Attributes --> General Attributes Tab.
Set radio button 'To All Languages'.
Now your smart form will be translated automatically to the logon language.
For example if you want to see your form in korean language, logout SAP once, then login with korean language 'KO'. (field after username and password)
If you need any specific text in other languages ... you have to create text id in SO10 using different logon languages.

i created one PO smartform in second page(last page) terms and conditions page that is not printed.i given in page 2 output options i given page2.in page1 output options page2.but it is showing dump error.

Hi Murli,
You settings are correct. The only thing that you have to check is that whether the size of the main window of the last page is greater than the size of the page ( As discussed by Shweta). I think the size is doing all the error which is causing the short dump.
Please try this out and revert back.

Urgent! smartform can't not be print use self-defined format

hi:
    wo defined a format ZXY in R3 using SPAD,then assign this format to our device type CNSAPWIN and activate it. then create a smartform using this format.
    when we print our smartform using EPSON printer LQ1600KIII, the printer automaticaly choose A4 as default page format but not our pageformat ZXY in r3 , so the output result is not correct because printer using A4 for page break
   how to solve problem?

    once check ur settings whether it is like or not.
SPAD> OUTPUT DEVICES> give the printer name>double click on output devices>give the device type in device attributes-->in TRAY information give the ur pageformat name in tray1 check box.

Urgently on Smartforms

Hi Gurus,
I need to prepare TS for Packing list for the Code-vt02n.
The packing list must be printed in less than 1 minute after VT transaction is completed.
i got strucked up , whether i need to trigger the smartforms using USER-EXIT or else is ther any other way tht it can be triggered.

if their is any user exit that triggers at the completion of transaction vt02 call the smartform from that user exit . It should work .

Hello Experts,
i have a requirement of printing of smartform in multiple languages i.e english and french or english and chinese depending on the selection. i have developed my form in 'English'. Now, how to translate the form in other language? Whats the process of doing that..

Hi,
First you change the seetings in your Smartform.
Goto Global Settings ---> Form Attributes ---> General Attributes tab
Select the Radio Button "To All Languages".
Now you can use smartforms in any languages.

Hi,
Global Declaration is nothing bur the Internal Table Declaration in smartform. If u Declare the Tables in Global Declaration U can access that Internal Table for all the Windows within that Smartform.
Import : It will Pass the Value to write the coding inside the window, It Mean Ur getting the Value from Global. Already i told the Global will help for all the Windows.
Export : In the Import we r getting the value from global and doing some coding or calculation inside the Window. Now we need to take that Value to Print in within that Window.
Example :
Importing : t_ekko ( Here getting the Value from outside)
Loop at t_ekko into wa_ekko.
Append lt_ekko from wa_ekko.
endloop.
Exporting : lt_ekko ( Taking the final Value to Display)

SMARTFORMS STEPS.
1. In Tcode se11 Create a structure(struct) same like the Internal table that you are going to use in your report.
2. Create Table type(t_struct) of stracture in se11.
3. In your program declare Internal table(Itab) type table of structure(struct).
4. Define work area(wa) like line of internal table.
5. Open Tcode Smartforms
6. In form Global setting , forminterface Import parameter define Internal table(Itab) like table type of stracture(t_struct).
7. In form Global setting , Global definitions , in Global data define Work area(wa) like type stracture(struct).
8. In form pages and window, create Page node by default Page1 is available.
9. In page node you can create numbers of secondary window. But in form there is only one Main window.
10. By right click on page you can create windows or Go to Edit, Node, Create.
11. After creating the window right click on window create table for displaying the data that you are passing through internal table.
12. In the table Data parameter, loop internal internal table (Itab) into work area(wa).
13. In table there are three areas Header, Main Area, Footer.
14. Right click on the Main area create table line by default line type1 is there select it.
15. Divide line into cells according to your need then for each cell create Text node.
16. In text node general attribute. Write down fields of your work area(wa) or write any thing you want to display.
17. Save form and activate it.
18. Then go to Environment, function module name, there you get the name of function module copy it.
19. In your program call the function module that you have copied from your form.
20. In your program in exporting parameter of function pass the internal table(itab).
SAP Smart Forms is introduced in SAP Basis Release 4.6C as the tool for creating and maintaining forms.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to execute simple modifications to the form and in the form logic by using simple graphical tools; in 90% of all cases, this won't include any programming effort. Thus, a power user without any programming knowledge can
configure forms with data from an SAP System for the relevant business processes.
To print a form, you need a program for data retrieval and a Smart Form that contains the entire from logic. As data retrieval and form logic are separated, you must only adapt the Smart Form if changes to the form logic are necessary. The application program passes the data via a function module interface to the Smart Form. When activating the Smart Form, the system automatically generates a function module. At runtime, the system processes this function module.
You can insert static and dynamic tables. This includes line feeds in individual table cells, triggering events for table headings and subtotals, and sorting data before output.
You can check individual nodes as well as the entire form and find any existing errors in the tree structure. The data flow analysis checks whether all fields (variables) have a defined value at the moment they are displayed.
SAP Smart Forms allow you to include graphics, which you can display either as part of the form or as background graphics. You use background graphics to copy the layout of an existing (scanned) form or to lend forms a company-specific look. During printout, you can suppress the background graphic, if desired.
SAP Smart Forms also support postage optimizing.

You design a form using the graphical Form Painter and the graphical Table Painter. The form logic is represented by a hierarchy structure (tree structure) that consists of individual nodes, such as nodes for global settings, nodes for texts, nodes for output tables, or nodes for graphics.
To make changes, use Drag & Drop, Copy & Paste, and select different attributes.
These actions do not include writing of coding lines or using a Script language.

SmartForms System Fields
Within a form you can use the field string SFSY with its system fields. During form processing the system replaces these fields with the corresponding values. The field values come from the SAP System or are results of the processing.

Displays the date. You determine the display format in the user master record.
&SFSY-TIME&
Displays the time of day in the form HH:MM:SS.

Inserts the number of the current print page into the text. You determine the format of the page number (for example, Arabic, numeric) in the page node.
&SFSY-FORMPAGES&
Displays the total number of pages for the currently processed form. This allows you to include texts such as'Page x of y' into your output.
&SFSY-JOBPAGES&
Contains the total page number of all forms in the currently processed print request.
&SFSY-WINDOWNAME&
Contains the name of the current window (string in the Window field)
&SFSY-PAGENAME&
Contains the name of the current page (string in the Page field)

Is set to 'X' after a page break (either automatic [Page 7] or command-controlled [Page 46])

Well, as it's most urgent....
One you have a value in V_FORM_NAME you need to call this function module, passing the fields and strucures that make up the interface to your form.
Eg.

Problem in executing a smartform URGENT!!

HI,
I created a template in my layout and created a structure
z_tab which i had to pass in the smartform now
my problem is
in form interface i gave i_tab type z_tab
and in template-> text iam adding a feild&i_tab-raw&( this is my feild name which i have to show in output) and in se38 my interface program i gave the necessary.
But iam getting error saying
"Reference field I_TAB-RAW unknown in form."
please help its urgent

URGENT!! Smartform : graphical edition impossible!

Hi,
I created a Smartform for Delivery Note with its print program in a newly upgraded ECC6.0 system. I customized in NACE in proper column.
When I try to print it via VL02N, the message is:
"Graphical edition impossible"
Does anyone know how to solve this problem??

Could any one give me a detailed info on how to use one text module in Smartform to other languages without logging into the system in that language.

Smartform Text Missing - URGENT

Hai All,
I am Farooq, just started as ABAPer in TULIP IT, Delhi. SAP is just implemented in this company & there is some problem in SMARTFORMS. The Problem is that there are 13 items in the Order, & 11th items' description is missing in that order (invoice). So PLEASEee.. help. Its URGENT.

Hi Farooq,
Please check if the description is available in the database table from where you are selecting it. It might not be maintained there and hence would not be printing.
