    I have received a call from SYSTEM URGENT ONLINE REPAIR, and accidentally pressed "answer", 7 seconds only. I not able to block nor delete this ID. ANYBODY knows what's about? Thank you.

    Please continue to Block and Report as Abuse all of these suspicious calls.
    You may also wish to check your privacy settings are "locked down" to receive audio and video calls as well as instant messages from only your contacts.
    I always suggest keeping up with your computer/operating system automatic updates, and to frequently run the updated anti-virus/malware/spyware software of your choice.

    Hello I was wondering/doubting this is a serious message. I'm recieving calls from this caller *** SYSTEM NOTICE - URGENT ONLINE REPAIR *** I have avoided answering this call not sure why but I just hate spam & people not being honest. Is this caller known? Cheers silversurfergh

    reporting those callers to Skype will significantly help in eliminating this unwanted callers.  Customers' reports will flag Skype of the suspicious activities of those unwanted calls, and may block their account or prevent them from using Skype services if deemed necessary.

    I keep getting this call from NOTIFICATION - URGENT ONLINE REPAIR at the very least 2 times a day. I keep blocking them and reporting them and they just change their names.

    These are only a few of the names used in conjuction with NOTIFICATION - URGENT ONLINE REPAIR
    HOW CAN SKYPE STOP THIS??? I think they shold not allow anybody to use Service or Repair in their profile names.

    I appreciate the annoyance and frustration.  Please do continue to Block and Report as Abuse each incident as it occurs so Skype can trend these scammer tactics.
    I always suggest "locking down" your privacy settings such that only people on your contact list can call you - audio or video - or send you instant messages.  While doing so is inconvenient for your friends and family to find you on Skype, it makes you invisible to the scammers and phishers.  Remember to Save your settings before you exit each screen or window, or your settings will not be applied and remembered.
    Please do not be surprised if you still receive random, unsolicited contact invitations.  Those same scammers "phish" the Add a Contact feature ... Block these as well.

    Are you using the correct country selection when you start? If you are call Apple explain the problem and they should be able to help you get a ticket started.

    I've done permissions verifying, and repairs for years now. I'm also aware that many resulting messages can be safely ignored, but after the recent Java SE 6 to 1.6.0_22. update, there are two new messages. I hoping someone can offer some advice as to whether these can be ignored as well. My computer seems to be functioning fine. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

    Today I have had some really strange things showing up on my iMAC when I went to Finder, for instance there were a couple of things there "Folders Actions Setup which I took a screenshot of which is way too big to post here and also had "mail attachment" which put the screenshot into a blank email!
    Anyone have any ideas? I am now quite concerned.

  • Trying to reach Lenovo support for urgent hardware repairs; is anyone home?

    I have a warranty on my Thinkpad T530 that includes next-day, on-site support. I have been trying to contact Lenovo about getting my failing hard drive replaced (also need a USB port and DELETE key replacement), but I've been unable to get through.
    I don't have access to a phone right now, so I have been trying to place a support request online. Lenovo's chat support said no representatives were available. I've tried twice to submit an electronic support request through the IBM website, and both requests were mysteriously canceled.
    Can someone please help? Any support people on this forum? Thanks!

    Maybe. Need to run Repair Disk on it and see if directory can be fixed. If directory cannot be fixed, then either a stronger utility such as Disk Warrior is needed, or a new HD.
    If it does indeed repair the directory, need to watch it closer for awhile, as directory corruption may be caused by improper software behavior, or by failing hardware. If it's the hardware, it's going to keep getting worse until HD no longer functions, so best to get a new HD ASAP. Check SMART status in Disk Utility and run Apple Hardware Test from an install disc which shipped with your MBP.
