URGENT: Patch in oracle forms?

Hi friends,
How do I know what patch (number, 15,16,17...) is applied to my Form Builder?
I think I have 17, but.. I don't see that number in "About Forms" menu..

Yes, you have patch 13. And no, patch 13 is not the last patch. It is the MINIMUM patch level you must have to run on Windows XP. Upgrade to patch 17!

I had a discussion with one of the Oracle technical consultants prior to your reply who mentioned that the Oracle's JDeveloper utility has functionality to tranform Forms into JSPs. Is that a possible path for this conversion.. it may not be an automatic solution but is it possible?

Calling From Oracle Forms 11g patch set 2(11.1.1.3.0) to Oracle Reports 1

While calling From Oracle Forms 11g patch set 2(11.1.1.3.0) to Oracle Reports 11g patch set 2(11.1.1.3.0) I found unable to run report error
But its finely working in 10g. The Place of error is in find_report_object
Is any solution to resolve this problem like any registry setting or patches to solve this problem

I was able to download it from this link:

Although the site does appear to be having problems. I got intermittent errors of the page/server not being available.

Oracle Forms Patch 10 for 8i

Does Oracle Forms Patch 10 apply to Oracle 8i or do you have to be on 9i? Also, does applying patch 10, catch you up on all previous patches (1-9)?.

The latest Forms 6i patch is 12. It is not 8, 8i or 9i specific. You need to check the related certification matrix and review the patch readme file to find out if the fixed bugs valid for your platform/configuration. For example, if you are running Forms 6i against a 9.2 database, the only certified 6i patch is 12.
The patches are cumulative - patch 12 includes previous patch fixes.

Unfortunately, patch 11 will not certify XP. Patch 12 might, but it is not promised. There are some issues with XP which are out of the control of the Forms group. It has to do with the 8.0.6 RSFs so we are all waiting for those issues to be resolved.

Installing Patch 18 on Oracle Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.11.3

I have Oracle Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.11.3 (Production) installed on Windows 7 64bit. It crashes abruptly with message "Oracle Forms Designer has stopped working". Google search showed to install Patch 18 for windows which may or may not solve the problem since its not certified with 64bit OS.
I tried to install Patch 18 and if I choose existing Forms 6i installation it stops saying "C:\Oracle\Forms6i is already used as an Oracle home for nt(1). It cannot be used as an Oracle home for nt". Installing in a new home didn't upgrade the Forms 6.0.8.11.3 to next level.
Any help regarding its installation or steps would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Patching Oracle Forms 6i

Hi All
Can someone please help me, I have Oracle Forms version 6i R2 installed on a Windows XP 32 bit machine, currently this is how it is: Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.8.0
I would like to patch up to: Forms [32 Bit] Version 6.0.8.20.1
Can someone please point me to the right direction on how to search for this using Metalink. Basically I just need the patch number.

If not the developer but the 6i client/server runtime only (which is free) you need, I have a bzip2 file for Linux and Sparc Solaris (sorry no Windows version), that includes the patchset 18 and the 10gR2 instant client's sqlplus (for xquery support). It is a tar.bz2 file and around 250mb - anyone wants it, I can put it into their ftp site - sorry no gets ;) Again, this is for client/server runtime only - no web stuff or development modules, documents, etc. It is a lean/mean client/server custom runtime environment for 6i Forms on Linux and Sparc clients. It has been tested (for years) against 8.1.7.4, 9i (first, second editions) and 10g (R1, R2 and XE) - it is for 32 bit but also runs under 64 bit (it includes missing linux/sparc libraries from 32bit). I offered this to Oracle folks years ago to be distributed from OTN but they said, they can not officially support it, therefore can not be distributed via OTN - which makes sense.

Oracle forms not opening after applying devoloper 6i patch 19 (P 9935935)

Dear All,
I have planned to upgrade forms version from 6.0.8.25 to 6.0.8.28 as followed the note      Upgrading Developer 6i with Oracle Applications 11i [ID 125767.1]
and applied the Patch 9935935 after this we have not open the forms and Open the all three windows as normal but after third window we are not able to get any forms window.
what is the problem we can not find any errors and remain applications services are running fine..
please give me solution for this??

How to run oracle form into a PC (Urgent please)

dear all
i am facing the follwoing problem:-
i am using oracle form developer 10g and i have developed a system for a store (accounting system ), but i have the following question , how can i install this sytem on another PC ? do i need to install the oracle developer or is there any tool that can change the form to an .exe format?
pleae i need an urgent feedback

so u just need a browser @ client side.and application server/OC4j instance in middle tier .

Oracle Forms Patch 10 or 11 - Where on metalink

Has anyone tried to download patch 10 or 11 for Oracle Forms Developer (I have Forms6i Release 2)from the Metalink site? I am trying to get the patch number, note number or the right area to access metalink in order to download the patch. If anyone has done this, please point me in the right direction. I am trying to get the right link in Metalink but getting nowhere!

We are using Oracle apps release 11i - Oracle forms 6i.
I have a field "project_start_date" in project_block in a custom form. There is another multi-record block called role_block in the same custom form and it has a field named start_date. Requirement is when ever I make change in the project_start_date in project_block, that should reflect in role_block.start_date. I tried different means and could update only the very first record of the multi-record block - role_block. I need to update all the records in the role_block with the same project_start_date. Used looping and several other methods. But could not achieve. Any help is really appreciated.

Do u want to update corresponding column (specific filed) of role_block when updating project_start_date in forms? How may rows will be updated for one project_start_date update ? one or multiple or all ?

Insert / Update from Oracle Forms -- URGENT Please thanks

Hello All,
I need to create form which can be use for two purposes. i.e insert and update
I have one table called emp which has 50 columns.
Only four columns has not null constraint.
I need to insert values in only these columns.
From SQLPLUS it can be cone as below:
insert ito emp values ('333','2222','007','AA','01-JAN-2007','','','','','','','','','',........);
After that I need to update one of the coulmn with the value as
update emp
set zipcode = 'Y'
where empt# = 007;
How could I achive this from Oracle form.
Any help will be appricated.

Why handle updates in the On-Update trigger? Oracle Forms already handles this for you. You update a data value in a field and click on the SAVE button (assuming you have a Save button) and the Oracle Forms handles the Update. The On-Update trigger is provided so you can perform processing in addition to the default UPDATE.
