URGENT! Please help - package use

Question about the use of packages:
I have a third party package set up at /location1/mypackage
I have a file at /location2/myfile.java
In myfile.java I need to "import mypackage". Is this possible to import a package stored in a different location then the file requiring the package? If so is this semantically correct or do I need to specify "import /location/mypackage" ?

Yes.
use import mypackage.*; for all files in that package.
Remember to set CLASSPATH=.../location1;
Details :
when U say
import mypackage.myclass; // try to import myclass
first compiler searches for myclass in the same directory, if not try to find it from CLASSPATH
so
set CLASSPATH=c:\location1;
