URGENT. Please tell me what the inside of a G3 should look like

Hello, I just received an iMac G3 (600mhz) in the mail. Something happened to it which it causing a weird high pitched sound upon startup. It won't continue into the logon screen. I will be opening this G3 up in a few hours. Please tell me what the insides should look like -- what the pheriphials should be like, and connected to -- whatever else is relavant, such as the logic board. What should everything look like? I might need to fix something. I'm stressed and don't have time for questions. Please tell me what I should inspect. Thanks!

You may search online to see if anyone formerly in the service business has older .pdf manuals for sale, maybe along with any older parts or vintage tools. That's a long shot. A local user group of vintage computer owners may also have some leads. A few with libraries of older tech database may have pdfs on DVDs.

"Radio" seems to be the default label if you're using an Exchange account. Just go into the contact, tap "Edit" in the upper right. Tap the word "radio" and select the label you'd prefer to use.

I read through the thread you mentioned and it seems that people are having a lot of problems with the iCloud clients, so we're not alone, but the unique issue in my case is the failing email address vs. the working perfectly email address.
After reading your message tonight, I tried my setup again with the preferred Apple ID (the one without the "." between the names), and for the first time ever, IT WORKS. Mail app configured the servers both send and receive as p01-smtp.mail.me.com and p01-imap.mail.me.com. For the first time, I'm able to send and receive into the Mail app, create mailboxes, move messages into and out of mailboxes, keep Sent messages, etc.
I had a 50-minute support chat with MobileMe support via ExpressLane on Monday afternoon. They couldn't resolve my issue but passed me on to escalation. I was told to expect to get an email from advanced support by this afternoon, but none has arrived. However, so far tonight -- and I will check again tomorrow several times before declaring victory -- it looks like something has been fixed on the Apple end to make things work.
I will report back after I do some additional testing tomorrow to make sure the fix is real and is solid...and before I let my friend, the new Mac user, know the good news.

SOAP RECEIVER and WSDL-what specifies how my SOAP REQUEST should look like?

I am sending a request to a webservice (SOAP RECEIVER) but the webservice in question does not have a wsdl. I have created my own wsdl based on another example but when mapping to the REQUEST part of this and routing it through my SOAP RECEIVER channel it appears that it has NO SOAP-ENV only the pure XML in the request sent to the webservice.
I have UNTICKED the "No SOAP envelope.." so all is pretty basic.
What specifies how the REQUEST sent to the webservice through the SOAP RECEIVER comm channel should look like?
I thought that the SOAP RECEIVER ADAPTER did this automatically, but in my scenariao, it looks as if it something else as well? Is it the XSD or WSDL that dictates how the SOAP REQUEST should look like?

No. The SOAP adapter adds the SOAP enveloped, no matter how the WSDL looks like.
I have no idea why this does not work for you. Check whether the channel is active and the cache is refreshed.

When I lifted my opened my laptop, there was an icon at the bottom center. The symbol was similar to a half of a sun upside-down and it was crossed out. Since I've never seen the icon before, I don't know what it means or if it's affecting anything.

Partner determination procedure KAB (partners in contract) contains the partner functions AA and AW. You must assign this procedure to the sales document types for which the partner authorization check is relevant. You make this assignment in the Customizing activity u2018Define and assign partner determination proceduresu2019.
When you create a release order for a contract, you enter the number of the contract and the name of the partner who is requesting the goods. The system then checks if the business partner is authorized to release against the contract.
Depending on the settings in Customizing, the system determines whether a partner is authorized to release against the contract by checking against one of the following:
1) Partners in the contract (Rule A)
If the partner has the partner function AG (sold-to party) or AA (sold-to party for release order) in the contract, the system accepts the partner as the sold-to party for the release order.
2) Partners in the hierarchy (Rule B)
If the partner who wants to release against the contract is the sold-to party of the contract or at a lower level in customer hierarchy to the sold-to party in the contract, the system accepts the partner as the sold-to party for the release order.

Cansomeone please tell me what the simplest way is to backup your files from you Mac and then completely restore it back to when I first bought it? I do not want to download or purchase any software, and I would like to keep my important files-pics, music

I just would like to completely reset my MAC. I dont want to have to download or purchase a software to download, and I dont quite understand what the time machine is supposed to do if you have not been told to use if before. Shouldn't mac have some type of in home software already installed? And how can I completely restore my mac back to its original system?

1: Connect a external powered drive like a Firewire or USB drive. If you question the drive format or need to format it, first do that in Disk Utility before transfering any files to the drive. MSDOS, FAT32 or exFAT is best for any Windows or Mac to access the files.
2: Transfer your files manually by dragging and dropping your Users Folders like Pictures, Movies, Documents and Music (do not use TimeMachine!!) Eject the drive and disconnect from the computer.
3: Next insert the cd that came with your computer and reboot holding c
4: Two screens in is a menu option called "Utilities" select Disk Utility.
5: On the left is your internal boot drive, select it and Erase > Format HFS+ Journaled > Security Option > Zero All Data. Wait about a hour or so until it's finished.
6: When it's done, quit and your back in the installer again, install OS X and when finished, shut down.
The next time the computer reboots, it will go through the "welcome" video and the initial setup, just like a new Mac.

Tweekdeck is down on firefox. Please tell me what the problem is & will it be resolved?

I have had a tweetdeck account for a couple of years. Tonight I tried to sign on & it said to contact ypu for more information. It said the site was broken. I have friends who are not experiencing problems with tweetdeck. Please advise me of the issue with this site. I will be very unhappy if I can no longer use tweetdeck. Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

It is the number of movies that never have been plaid. It should correspond to the number of movies you see listed with a full blue dot next to the movie.

I can only find MS Templates, but it requires MS Word to run so I'm confused?

You have to get Word from Microsoft - for a free 30-day trial, see here.
The Word templates you have may be able to be opened by Pages - from the App Store. Much less expensive than the Office suite. Even less expensive (as in free) is LibreOffice - which will open Word files and save in Word format.

I understand that you are receiving error -1 while attempting to restore your iPhone. In this situation, I would recommend forcing your iPhone into recovery mode and attempting an update. This will reinstall the operating system without erasing any data.
If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or doesn't turn on - Apple Support
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.
