Urgent. Printing files from SAP SERVER
Can you help me out please?
For example, we have some PICTURES (files) on the SAP folder(server) and we need to print them out. How to make it?
For example in my report i have a button which responds for printing those pictures (files) from the server.
How to print them straight from SAP?
I really need your help!
Hi,
try one of the FMs, or copy parts of the code in your own:
F4_DXFILENAME_TOPRECURSION
F4_FILENAME_SERVER
/SAPDMC/LSM_F4_SERVER_FILE
RZL_READ_DIR_LOCAL
Award points, if useful

How to transfer file from sap server to PDM server using open FT??
Hello Sap Guru's
I want to Trasfer a file with all supplier information from SAP server to PDM server(Thirdparty) system Using Open FT ..How can I transfer ???
Please let me know the answer??
Thanks In Advance
PreethiHi Preethi,
I think it is not possible to transfer a file from SAP to PDM using open FT.
Using RFCs, we can do the transfer.
Other option is the file can be downloaded into UNIX. And from there using a shellscript we can transfer the file from UNIX to PDM or if your PDM has the option to grab the file from UNIX that will also work.
Hope this helps.
Please reward if helpful.
Thanks,

Urgent : Download file from Application Server via Process Chain.
Hi Experts,
My requirement is to download the file from Application Server to local work station using an ABAP Program .
I want including the above ABAP program in a process chain to execute the program daily,
I tried to use ARCHIVFILE_SERVER_TO_CLIENT and GUI_DOWNLOAD but unfortunately both the above FM doesn't support to run through Process chain.
Can any one of you help me to send the code which selects a file from application server, downloads to local system and deletes it.
Thank you very much for spending your precious time in this regard.Hi Sailekha,
Regarding your case ..
I suggest you to create the program where it run this function: WS_DOWNLOAD.
After it, the program is run by your process chain.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.
Regards,
Niel.
thanks for the points you choose to assign. -
if there is an file that does journal entries, pushed into sap from external software, what location should that file be placed in the SAP server. Is there a folder which we can use in SAP server for that file.
Hi
You can use application server to store the files. You can use transaction AL11 where you will have different directories. You can create the folder under the directory as per requirement
~Thanks!

How to store multiple files from SAp in to Application server?
Hi Guys,
Can anybody tell me how to store multiple files from SAP into Application server.in my application i have to get the data from SAP tables BSEG , BKPF , BSAK and BSIK that to daily i have to do.
Any Logic or Code for how to do is welcomed.
plz help me urgently.
Thanks,
GopiHi,
directories creates basis. If you have task to store data in application server you already should have information into which folder you have to do it. If you don't have this information because it is just for example training for next task then you can use your personal folder into which you have access. To get list of all available folders please look at attached code and form get_directories (you get the list of folders you see in transaction AL11). But don't forget: If you are using open dataset you have to have rights to access application folder!
Here you are code which I use to upload text files from local disc into application folder

Karol

Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program
Hi All,
I have a issue related <b>Fetching of multiple files from Application Server into SAP Program</b>.
Actual issue is as below.
In the <b>selection screen</b> of <b>my program</b> i will give <b>Application Server Path</b> as :
<b>/PW/DATA/SAP/D1S/PP/DOWN/eppi0720*</b>
Then the based on above input it should pick up all the files that are matching <b>eppi0720*</b> criteria.
Suppose if i am having <b>5</b> files with above scenario, i have to fetch all those <b>5</b> files at a time and place in my SAP Program.
All those 5 file's data should come into SAP at a time.
Can anybody tell me how can we solve above issue.
If any body has come across same issue please provide me with solution.
Thanks in advance.

PDF - Printing a PDF file from ABAP or SAP Script
regards,
Sri. -
Hi,
We have JPEG files (pictures) stored in Custom Z table (Cluster table). We would like to know how to print these files from SAP on to a certain printer.
We know that it is not possible to convert JPEG to BMP within SAP and print using SAPScript OR SmartForms.
We want to find out if there is any print command to print these files to SAP printer ?
Any help is appreciated.
NiranjanHi Gregory,
I had checked this tcode earlier. However, I don't see any 'Print' jpeg or any other file functionality here. What SAP might be doing here is, allow upload of any document like excel, word or pic files (jpeg, gihf, bmp) and so on and just display.
I am interested in printing functionality without usng SAP Script OR Smartforms, because, when we get into it, we have to talk only TIF or BMP as JPGs are not supported.

Reading XML File from application server
Hi experts,
My aim is to read a XML file from application server and extract the relevant data from it and process further.
When I am trying to read a XML file from application server it is reading success fully but the problem is that its not reading the last root structure of XML file why is so happening can any body help me?
I am using the following code:
TYPES: BEGIN OF xml_line,
text(256) type x,
END OF xml_line.
DATA: e_file LIKE rlgrap-filename VALUE 'applcatin server path'
OPEN DATASET e_file FOR INPUT IN BINARY MODE.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
DO.
READ DATASET e_file INTO wa_item1-text.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
APPEND wa_item1 TO gt_item1 .
CLEAR wa_item1.
ELSE.
EXIT.
ENDIF.
ENDDO.
ENDIF.
CLOSE DATASET e_file.
after this i am passing this internal table to "cl_ixml" class to extract the data
but it returning the itab with required value except the last record.
The stream reading the file it self is i thought in complete thats why it is not converting the all values.
Please help me...
Thanks a ton in advance.Hi,
1 Copy Report BCCIIXMLT1
2 (you can change the way of filling internal table xml_table if necessary)
3 you don't need the part between
*-- render the DOM back into an output stream/internal table
and
*-- print the whole DOM tree as a list...
Comment it out or simply delete it
4 Rename form print_node to your liking e.g. process_node
5 In your new form you need three extra variables:
data: attribs type ref to IF_IXML_NAMED_NODE_MAP,
attrib_node type ref to IF_IXML_NODE,
attrib_value type string.
6 After the lines:
when if_ixml_node=>co_node_element.
string = pNode->get_name( ).
Insert:
attribs = pNode->get_attributes( ).
clear attrib_value.
case string.
when ''. "put your XML tag name here
attrib_node = attribs->get_named_item(name = '' ). "put your XML attribute name here
attrib_value = attrib_node->get_value( ).

Hi All,
Is there any way to upload Tariff Code (with multiple XML files) from application server?. Its urgent.
Regards,
JatinHi Jatin,
Yes, of course you can upload multiple files for tariff codes.
This can be done by the below path:-
SAP GTS Cockpit(tcode-/sapsll/menu_legal)-->Customs Management-->Classification-->Classification Master Data-->Upload Tariff Code Numbers from XML file(tocde- /SAPSLL/LLNS_UPL101).
In the above area after browsing and choosing the first file, please select multiple check box to choose more files as well. Then you can further select your application server and upload all those files in one go.
PS:- Although, we have an option to upload multiple such files but actually we should avoid multiple file uploads due to various reasons. Hence, please take utmost care during such procedure.

File from Application server into BW
Hi All,
I have a urgent requirement and I do not know much of ABAP
The requirement is
selecting existing file from application server Dynamically in BW server. This will be done by writing an ABAP code at the InfoPackage level in the External Data Tab but I am in need some ABAP code for the same
Also let me know which table stores AL11 files
I know USER_DIR stores directories but I required the table for the files within the directories.
Any help is appreciatedHi DPN,
If we have a condition like depending on System Date we have to get a file some thing like that then we can do that by using the ABAP Routine. But in your Scenario there are no specific conditions to select a file.
If we have some variable which stores the value which we give and gets the specified file... That Would be Great.
But in Routine we can not use Variables..(As Far As I Know)
So better Select manually every time...
Hope This Helps.
Regards,
rik.
