Urgent: Problems in Delta load

Hi BW Gurus/Experts,
I am new to BW and My requirement is to load deltas from CRM to BW,I have initialized deltas and after some days(appx. around 3days) there was changes in the records so I have created infopackage and tried to load deltas but i cannot do that i donot know what might be the reason when i check in monitor the status of the request is yellow with 0 from 0 records eventhough there are records which i check in RSA7. I have seen some previous posts according to some gurus suggestion I have activated the transfer structure and replicated datasources and loaded deltas again but it didnot helped me.I even tried by init load without data transfer and than i have created another infopackage for delta load that too it didnot helped me. Would anyone please suggest me some of the steps and brief explaination on them I need to follow for the following queries:
1) If I need to load deltas after 4 to 5 days of Init load.
2) If I need to load deltas again after 5 to 6 days of deltas load.
When I load deltas after init or delta load after some days by init load without data transfer and loaded deltas than the status of the request is green in monitor but with 0 from 0 records. would anyone put some light on it. I appreciate it in advance.

Hi AK,
1) As mentioned that you have activiated the transfer structure and replicated data source..I guess it should be other way ..first you have replicate the datasource and activate the transfer structure but though TS gets activate by normal ..Its good if you activate TS through the program RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL ..give TS name and activate then try to load the data.
2) There are some possible reasons when IDOC get hangs such as missing free dialog process in the target system
a)IDOC hang in status 64 for tRFC with immediate( Check note:555229)
b)Request hang because IDOCS are not processed (Check note: 561880)
c)RFC resource check returns incorrect result (Check note:311930)
3)Check entries in delta queue (RSA7) see also note 380078.
4)Its also better to use Diagnosis tools delta queue monitor qRFC t.code :SMQ1 in source system see also note 444261.

I have a problem with delta load
We have an IP, which loads data from R/3 system daily, its a delta load to the ODS and it updates to the cube with the selection on Company Codes and 0FISCPER
we are in 3.5 system
For a couple of company codes A & B, the init was done for the period 07.2010 to 12.2099 and after tht the deltas are loaded from 07.2010 till 12.2099 and there's no pblm with tht
Now, there was some updation in R/3 system and the data was maintained for the company codes in A& B for the FISCPER 001.2010 to 006.2010, for which init wasnt maintained...
now how shall we need to load the init in this case? dnt ask me how the postings was done in R/3, but my pblm is purely related to the loading data in BW from R/3, as its very imp for the customer to see the data from 01.2010 to 12.2010 in reports, but the data was only available in reports from 07.2010 onwards
do i need to create another IP and maintain the init for 01.2010 to 06.2010? so tht this selection will automatically appear in the ODS delta loading infopackage

Hi Prince,
No need to maintain any Init for this data, It will be enough if you can load the data from jan 2010 to jun 2010 into your Info Cube.
Follow the below steps:
1)create full load IP for this data source.
2) give the selection as A and B company codes and 0FISCPER as 001.2010 to 006.2010
3) in menu bar, click on scheduler --> select full repair request
4) In the next screen check the check box and save
5) Now execute the IP, it will the data with out disturbing your daily delta.
follow the same procedure to load data till to your Info Cube.

Problem in delta load with Z field

Hello Experts,
We have CRM 5.0 system and as per the requirement we have
added ZFIELD to BUT000 table. This field is added to BUT000 via EEWB – Easy
Enhancement Workbench. This field is also BW enabled.
BW enabled means – this field is used / available to BW
extractor for further analysis.
We update this ZFIELD with custom program – FM BUPA_CENTRAL_CI_CHANGE.
When full load is done – data flows to BW correctly, ZFIELD
values are reflecting correctly. But when we are doing delta load it is not
working.
If we use BP t-code delta works perfectly. So issue from BW
side is ruled out. The FM BUPA_CENTRAL_CI_CHANGE is not triggering the change
record for this BP. But then I don’t see any other FM / BAPI to use so that
change record is also created.
Could you please provide any pointers or any checks to
overcome this problem?

Hi Ashtankar,
When you are changing the attributes(say ZFIELD) and save the transaction in BP, Is this updating the CHDAT(Change date) in BUT000?
If the change date is being applied, then Delta shouldnt be a problem - if you are using datasource 0BPARTNER_ATTR.
In order to check if the delta is being captured or not, you could use TCODE RSA7. Also, this brings the Doubt when you say Full load works while delta doesnt, try Re-initializing the datasource from BW after Datasource replication - because there have been some changes effective in Source system which the BW system/Delta queue might take into consideration.

Problem with delta load

When I am doing a delta load from ODS to Cube it is taking lot of time....
When I clicked on PSA it is saying " An error occured when reading PSA DATA"...
What should I do???

could you give the complete information about the error msg from monitor screen..status tab.
Check if any shortdumps in st22
Check for error logs
Also check in sm21.
It would be easy for us to give solution if you give the complete error msg.

Delta loads a problem after client copy

Hi Gurus,
I did a system copy from R/3 Testing system to BW Testing system. After the system copy, the delta loads were working fine but now from yesterday the delta does not get loaded from R/3. When I try to make it red and start it again, it states the last request has not completed the delta load and it requests again. It seems RSINFO idocs need to be generated and sent to BW side but this is not getting generated and the load is still in yellow status. Finally the load also becomes red after the timeout time.
I have checked all the connections, they are working fine. There are no entries in TRFC queue and Partner profile is present and is pointing to the correct destination.
Is there any way to make the delta work again. Please advice as this is urgent and the delta loads are failing.

I did a system copy from R/3 Testing system to BW Testing system. After the system copy, the delta loads were working fine but now from yesterday the delta does not get loaded from R/3
How were the delta working fine without reinitialization of the deltas after the system copy.
The delta timestamp information is stored in SAP base tables. The system copy not only copies the structure but also the data in those tables, the delta enteries in those tables would be of the system from which you copied. You again need to reinitialize the deltas to correct this.

Urgent Help Reqd: Delta Problem....!!!

Urgent help reqd regarding follwoing scenario:
I am getting delta to ODS 1 (infosource : 2LIS_12_VCHDR) from R/3. Now this ODS1 gives delta to Cube1. I got one error record which fails when going to cube (due to master data check).And this record would be edited later.
So I thought of re loading cube and using error handling to split request in PSA and load valid records in cube.Later when I have coorect info abt error, I would load erroneous record manually using PSA.
I did following steps:
1)Failed request is not in cube...(setting is PSA and then into target)....also it has been deleted from PSA.
2)Remove data status from source ODS1.
3)Change error handling in infopackage to valid " Valid records update, reporting possible".
4)start loading of cube.
But when I did this I got following message :
<b> "Last delta update is not yet completed.Therefore, no new delta update is possible.You can start the request again if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor"</b>
But both my requests in cube and ODS are Green...no request is in yellow...!!
Now the problem is :
1) I have lost ODS data mart status
2)how to load valid records to cube, since errorneous record can be edited only after 3- 4 days.
3)How not to affect delta load of tomorrow.
Please guide and help me in this.

I just checked in cube...there is no failed request for today...and neither in PSA....Person who has handed this to me may have deleted this is PSA..and why req is not in failed state in cube...I am not sure..though setting is "PSA and then into data package".....
So how to go frm here....

Problen in Intialize delta loading...URGENT

Hi to all,
I have an issue of BiW not reconciling to MB51 in R3.
We did an initialise delta for the Inventory Cube on 26-27 July. Since
then it appears that all subsequent delta loads are bringing in some
incorrect data from R3. This only seems to affect Plant ADMN for 35 type P.O.s. where positive values in R3 seem to be arriving in the BiW cube as negatives. This only seems to be happening to a very small percentage, but it is causing us a big problem.
Can you taka a look asap as this is a production issue.
I have, this morning, carried out further reconciliations between MB51 and the Stock/Non Stock Workbook in BiW.
I selected random periods as follows
01.03.2003 - 15.03.2003 plant ADMN £28.961m reconciliation correct.
01.11.2003 - 15.11.2003 plant ADMN ££50.302m reconciliation correct.
01.01.2004 - 15.01.2004 plant ADMN £37.219m reconciliation correct
01.07.2004 - 15.07.2004 plant ADMN £33.603m reconciliation correct.
I have attached a small excel file which shows reconciliations for 2005.
You can see that prior to 26th July 2005 all reconciliations between R3 and BiW are correct.
There are two main concerns.
1) there is no data in BiW for 26th July 2005 for any plant (excl ADMN).R/3 SIDE, MB51 shows £234k. I assume this data is missing as our initialisation load took place 26th-27th July. All delta's since then seem fine. Data reconciles.
2) More alarming is the fact that since the initialisation load, reconciliations for plant ADMN show daily discrepancies. It appears that some 35 P.O.s are having negative values and zero quantities in BiW but positive in MB51. This phenomenon is not constant?
Please tell me steps how to do?

Anyway, the transformation will come after PSA loading only na...While doing delta update , no data is getting loaded to PSA itself.

URGENT: Problems Loading files with SQL Loader into a BLOB column

I read a lot about how to load files into blob columns, but I found errors that I can't solve.
I've read several notes in these forums, ine of them:
sql loader: loading external file into blob
and tried the solutions but without good results.
Here are some of my tests:
With this .ctl:

What problem exists with LOBFILE ??
(mytable of course has number1 as a NUMBER, cad1 as VARCHAR2(250) and image1 as BLOB

Missing some master data for delta load( its very urgent please)

I am working master data for delta load,the problem is when ever changes(SO) in r/3 RECORDS for address text,City Dstrct Nm.its not getting loaded into BW.every day some delta records are coming into BW.
the data coming thru bw satging and bw.Please help what would be reson and where can i find the detail info,where is it missing.Please see below for example.

Delta load problem after Initialization

Hi everyone.........................I need your inputs on the following problem that I ran into:
I have an ODS which gets supplied by regular delta loads.
Accidentlly, I have deleted the Initialization(Info Package->Scheduler->Initialization options for source systems). Because of this the delta loads are broken.
I am now trying to fix this by Initializing it again(but without data transfer as I dont need all the data till this current point again). That worked successfully.
But the deltas after this initialization are causing a problem. The first delta that I loaded failed with an error :
"Delta Request REQU123XYZ is incorrect in the monitor.
A repeat needs to be requested. Data target (ODS) still includes delta request REQU123XYZ. If the repeat is now loaded, then after the load there could be duplicate data in the data target.
Request the repeat?"
I repeat the delta load and this time around it loads correctly.
The next delta that I load after this is again an error. The repeat of this is again a correct one.
This problem continues.
Can anyone throw some light on whats going wrong?

Hi Sat,
I tried your suggestion by turning the failed request manually to green.
However, for the next delta load, the info package just wouldnt allow me to initate a load saying that-
"Last delta update is not yet completed
Therefore, no new delta update is possible.
You can start the request again
if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor".
Although it says not yet completed, I can see that the request has failed.
Any more alternatives will be highly appreciated.

ODS Delta Load --- Activation problem

I had an ODS, newly transported in to procuction. I did Initialization for that with out having any problem. But i am facing problem in the delta load. I can see that delta data load is successfull. But couldnot able to Activate the delta load request.
I can able to see following comments in cancelled job log.
Key value exists in duplicate (Not allowed by the ODS object type)
System error occurred (RFC
call)
Errors occured when carrying out activation
Can you please help me out why activation of delta request cancelling?

hi..
for ur ODS..right click..go to change..in the settings..the checkbox for 'unique data records' must be ticked.
in dev..remove this checkbox and then save/activate the ODS.
transport this change to prod and then reload the data to the ODS in prod.
the delta request will surely load(and also activate) without any problem.

Delta load problem in 2lis_04_p_comp

I am using data sources 2lis_04_p_comp and 2lis_04_p_matnr in my report. When I am doing full load , data is matching with R3 but during delta load , 2lis_04_p_comp is showing incorrect data.
WHEN I RUN THE DELTA REQUEST,FOR SAME ORDER NUMBER,WE GET MORE NUMBER OF RECORDS WITH THE EVENT VALUES PA,PB,PC,PD AND PF.
sO AFTER RUNNING DELTA,THE OUTPUT GI QUANTITY and GI Value FROM THE REPORT DOES NOT TALLY WITH THE R/3 DATA.
I am using cube 0pp_c05 where these GI quantities and GI Value add up giving wrong result

Hi All,
For setup table filling for PP datasources having some sequence to follow. You can see in the note 585960. The workaround given by SAP is to deactivate the MATNR data source and fill the tables and then activate and fill the MATNR stuff.
There are some local issues regarding this activation and deactivation things, because it needs lot of permissions and procedures.
Please go as per the note procedure.

Delta Load problem

I have one question regarding the deltas. we have one ODS it consist of materail number text and some other fields. The thing is we are doing the full loads. And the data is pulling by the 3rd party tool from the BW by accessing directly the ODS active table. Now the question is how can we implement the deltas for this and how they can identify the new records or changed records.

Hi Druthi,
since ur loads are full loads, and from now u want to make it into delta loads.
it can be possible by doing init again without data transfer.
and if u didnt reinit ur ODS it will overwrite with ur new records, so better init again ur ODS.
And to find whether ur records are new records or changed records, here are the steps.
1. right click on ur ODS -> select manage
2. select contents tab -> and in the below select "change log" button.
3. u will find mode of ur records whether it is new or changed, and this is possible if ur using 0RECORDMODE info object in ur ODS.

0BPARTNER delta load problem

Hi All,
For 0BPARTNETR master data , its a delta load and infopackage is showing red but request inside the Data Target is green with 0 added records. But some times it picks the delta figures and sometimes it will show 0 added records . Please assist me regarding this .

When there are no changes in the master records in R/3 then 0 records will come in delta..
if only records are created or modified then only it will pull delta..records.
Now when request is red you can make its status red manually i.e status not okay and then run repeat delta and check if load is happening...
in infopackage settings..we sometimes put the status preference green or yellow if its stuck for long time...you can check this out ...go to infopackage menu bar and left top corner you can see those options..

About delta loading for master data attribute

Hi all,
We have a master data attribute loading failed which is a delta loading. I have to fix this problem but I have two questions:
1. how can I find the those delta requests because I need to delete all these failed requests first, am I right ? Master data is not like cube or ods that we can find the requests in Manage, for master data how can we find them ?
2. Could you please let me know the detailed procedures to perform this delta loading again ?

Look.....for master data.....no need to delete request from the target..........just make the status red.......and repeat the load.....But problem is that master data sometimes does'nt support Repeat delta..........if u repeat......then load will again fail with Update mode R.........in that case u hav to do re-init.......
1) delete the init flag.......(In the IP scheduler >> in the top Scheduler tab >> Initialization option for source system)
2) Init with data transfer(if failed load picks some records)..........otherwise .....init without data transfer.....if the last delta failed picking 0 records.......
3) then Delta.......
