Urgent: Problems with IMAP-PostBox (mistakenly deleted messages)

Hi there,
I would be deeply grateful if someone could help me.
I worked offline and created two new postboxes (IMAP) - to which I transfered a lot of messages. Hours later when I went online, the mail-system deleted the postboxes saying: invalid action.
So now my messages have been mistakenly deleted. I couldn't find the messages on the hard-disc, or the in the wastebasket.
How do I recreate the postboxes or how do I recreate the messages? As a precaution I saved the mail-file before closing the mail-system.

Have you tried searching those messages in Spotlight to see whether they’re still somewhere on your disk?
If they aren’t and you don’t have a backup, I believe your only option is to try to salvage as many deleted *.emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage. Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted *.emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.

I am having a problem with email, when I delete messages from my Ipad, they come back into trash whether they are on my PC or not. The only way I can delete them is to to my providers site and delete everything there.

I am having a problem with email. I can receive and send, but when I delete, the deleted messages return into either Trash or Bin or both whether or not I have deleted them from my PC.

Since installing Mountain Lion i have a problem with Mail. I delete a number of messages from the same person but keep the newest message in my Inbox. I actually delete them from the Trash. Problems such as yours are sometimes caused by files that should belong to you but are locked or have wrong permissions. This procedure will check for such files. It makes no changes and therefore will not, in itself, solve your problem.
First, empty the Trash.
Triple-click the line below to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

i have still not figured out a solution to this. very painful - the fact that messages iwill not be using ever again and with large attachments, just sit there in all mails and slow down mail.app for me, fill up search results with stuff i don't want to see and fill up space on the HDD. the attachments as a result often are stored 3-4 times on the HDD!

URGENT Problem with Greek Character from an Oracle database

Hello, I am having a serious and urgent problem with the character settings of an oracle database (8.1.7). The database is sitting in a solaris unix server and when we run the env command we have the following in the NLS_LANG parameter: AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1 (I do not know if this is helpful). When I retrieve data from oracle database (through a VB.NET 2005 program)to a dataset I use a special font in order to see the greek characters (HELLASARIAL). But when I am trying to save these data to a TXT file the greek characters are like Chinese to us. I tried several encodings (System.Text.Encoding.GetEncoding(869)) but without success. Can someone tell me how to convert the oracle greek characters during the selection or during the saving to the TXT file?
Please respond as fast as you can.

I have the information that you have a VB.Net 2005 application connected to an Oracle database 8.1.7.4 hosted on a UNIX server.
This database has the CharacterSet WE8ISO8859P1.
When retrieving Greek characters from this database in the application, you cannot see them.
Could you please send me a screenshot of these characters in the .Net application?
Are they displayed as gibberish, or as inverted questions marks (?)?
I already had similar cases with Hebrew characters hosted on an Oracle database.
These characters were displayed as questions marks on the client side.
This is due to the fact that System.Data.OracleClient is using the Server CharacterSet to display the characters.
If your Greek characters are not stored in the WE8ISO8859P1 characterset, then they won’t display correctly on the client-side.
This is different from OLEDB where you could interact on client side by modifying the NLS_LANG parameter in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME0.
The client NLS_LANG and the server CharacterSet had to match in order to correctly display the data, and avoid SQL*NET conversion.
So there are two solutions to your case:
- The first one is to create a new database using the P8 characterset. The Oracle .Net managed provider will so be able to use it and display the characters correctly.
- The second one is to use the OLEDB.Net managed provider, and then use OLEDB for Oracle provider. OLEDB will take care of the client NLS_LANG registry parameter.

I have some problems with element Panel Label and Message.

If I use Panel Label and Message element then I need to copy LABEL from input text element to Panel Label and Message element LABEL PROPERTY. Can I define in View object that I don't need label and want all attributes in Panel Label and Message element?

Gmail & Mail 3.0: Sudden new problems--can't receive or delete messages

For the last two days I've had very odd problems with Mail. They seemed to start out of the blue; the only thing new I've done in this time frame is get an iPhone, which I set up with imap/gmail (I installed Leopard long before these problems started). For a couple of days I was unable to send messages. Then suddenly last night I was able to send but now I can't receive or delete messages. Does anyone know what may be the problem and what to do? I'll add my sad story...
Since upgrading, one email account will not receive mail - says the server reject my password, although I can retrieve my mail from the web. It is a POP account, although I tried setting up another with the same settings but as an IMAP account, with no luck. Outgoing mail is fine and other accounts, such as .mac and gmail seem to work. Tried recreating the account as a new user (so no old preferences messing things up) and from a new mail program (Thunderbird), but still rejects my password. I will try from an 10.4 machine today to see if I can get my mail.

[Urgent] Problem with Itunes 9.2 on Vista 64-bit

I have an urgent problem that I hope to get some response and insight from anybody, desperately needing help. As some might know, the new OS for iphone and ipod touch is out. iOs 4 and I wanted to upgrade my itunes, but i had to upgrade it to the itunes 9.2 version. As i was upgrading and installing, this error message : "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package A problem required for the install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor" came up and ruined the installation and as of now, I am unable to open my Itunes and sync stuff in. This is urgent as I have a ton of stuff inside and now i cant use itunes ! please help !

Thanks for your prompt reply I was able to make it run. Actually I am using the same keystore and truststore at both the client and the server end. I added those properties in opmn.xml as startup parameters.
I have another query I am using JDev to create a client proxy for my webservice that is deployed in OC4J. I have setup OC4J in 2 way SSL (mutual authentication)
When I invoke my client proxy with these system properties set

URGENT:Problems with OJMS

Hi, I have a problem with OJMS and MDBs. The problem is that I receive messages correctly, but messages are not dequeued from database. I have followed MDB's developer guide from oracle, the only difference is that I'm using stardard JMS interface instead of OJMS extensions. Can anybody help me? Please is urgent.

Are you specifying your MDB as CMT (transaction attribute or "Required" in ejb-jar.xml)? This will force the MDB container to wrap the receive call inside a transaction

Starting problem with iPhoto - wrong file deleted

Hello, I have problem with starting my iPhoto... a few days ago I made a mistake when I accidentally deleted some file in system settings... I think it was ,,Framework,,
Now I cant start it and only descriptions of the error is appearing .. Can we fix it ? Or its possible to reinstall this app??

If you deleted a framework, we need to where.
If the error message says something like
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/...
or Expected in: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks
Then you need to reinstall MacOS X to fix this. These dynamic libraries are installed by the system.
Reinstall by booting into the recovery , see this link for how to reinstall: OS X: About OS X Recovery
You do not need to wipe your system and reinstall the apps, if you reinstall the system. Just run the installer and install on top of your current system.
