Urgent! PSJ. WORKING with Logistic Data Base.

I use PSJ. and need to get out some spp elemnts from there.
so on the selection screen I set down spp elements "11" AND "12". So i need to work with <b>only these</b> spp elements.
But the command <b>GET PRPS_R</b> gives out other spp elements as well (<b>the ones that are situated upper in them hierarchy</b> ) . why is that and what can i do with it?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Problem in working with Japanese data

Hello,
We have an application, which should work for both English and Japanese languages. Our application is working fine for English data but in case of Japanese, we are facing problems. In the application, there is a language setting, where the user can select either English or Japanese. This changes the language of the labels to English or Japanese. We are handling this thru' ResourceBundles. But the data that is entered can be independent of this. In English setting also, the data entered or diplayed could be Japanese. Now we are facing problems at vaious places -
1. When we enter Japanese data and save it, it gets copied into the bean and if there is any error in the saving, the same data from bean comes back on the screen. This data doesn't appear properly in Japanese.
2. When we try to retrieve the already saved data from database, it doesn't show poperly in Japanese.
We are using our own 'toUnicode' function, which converts the data to Unicode before saving the data to database. Similarly, we have tried different encodings like SJIS / Shift_JIS / ISO-2022-JP at various places i.e. in 'Page' directive or in HTML Meta tag or various combinations of these two. Nothing is working reliably. Sometimes for some combination, data retained in the first case is correct but it can't be saved. Sometimes it works with Unicode, sometimes without Unicode. Some combination affects the Japanese labels as well. Otherwise the labels at least are displayed properly.
The same code with just Shift_JIS setting in 'page' directive, worked well in IIS Server for both English and Japanese.
What could be the problem in WebLogic? Does it matter if WL is installed on English or Japanese machine?
Kindly answer ASAP, since the project is getting delayed.

Help Required: Working with relational data

Hi,
I'm looking for some advice
Scenario
We have a customer who has an SE relational database with Apex for transaction processing. They require reporting functionality and are debating whether to buy BI SE One or BI EE; they will not buy the enteprise edition database though.
Questions
Here are my questions:
1. In order to use answers and dashboards, does the relational data have to be in a dimensional format. Is this reccommended.
2. We were debating on whether to create data marts for various business requirements. Is this standard procedure for relational data (Which is not too complex)
3. If the data has to be in a dimensional format, is this best modelled using warehouse builder or the model layer of the repository using BI Administrator. (Baring in mind that the customer is an SME using a SE database)
The main problem where having, been fairly new to warehouse building, is that we dont know what the best path is to take when working with relational data. Do we create dimensional models? What should we use? Is a relational structure suitable enough?
Can anyone shed light on our problems

1. In order to use Answers and Dashboards you do not need to have a Data Warehouse. It can report out of both Transactional database as well as a data warehouse.
2. It depends on what your business requirements are. BI EE/SE1 does not require you to have data marts. Data Marts would give performance gains, would help you in visualizing the transactional data from a business standpoint, is a big plus but not a mandate. If you want to go that route of creating Datamarts, you can easily do that using BI SE1 since that gives you warehouse builder which can be both used as a data modelling tool and a ETL tool.
3. Warehouse Builder is a ETL tool. It helps in you visualizing/deploying data warehouses in databases. But BI EE Admin tool is more of a logical dimension modelling tool wherein the facts and dimensions do not exist physically but the tool uses them to do the querying/processing.
Since you are just starting, what you can do is to use BI EE directly on top of the transactional system for the time being. But as a long term solution you can start working on your data marts and as soon as they are ready you can port the BI EE on top of them rather than the transactional system.

Xcelsiues 2008, working with live data help!!!

Ok, so i have flynet designer for web services. All this is working correctly. i have setup a test query just to check everything is working so i just pulled out some customer info name, account number etc. I generated the webservice succesfully and i can browse to the website and enter a parameter and it returns results. So i know this part is working ok.
So now im in xcelsius 2008, i add a new web service connection and it connects fine, at this point you have to select the cells where you want the data to go in the little excel spreadsheet panel. but nothing ever appears!!!!??? i dont know what i am doing wrong. has anyone had experience working with live data?

In terms of timescale. I have till April to do this.
I said 2 months cos things always come up. So, in terms of your application have you already:
collected user requirements?
developed and tested an appropriate database structure (tables, datatypes, triggers, views, etc...)?
done any mock-up of some sort of the application pages and business process flows?
gotten approval of any of the above?
If you have all of this yet to complete - and you're new to databases, new to Oracle and new to HTML DB, and have more than a very simple application (10-15 pages) you may still be in over your head with this project.
I'm not trying to discourage you from using HTML DB at all. It's a great tool and you can do some very cool stuff with it. And it's reputation as an Access killer is well deserved. It's just that you may not want to take on a critical time-sensitive project as your first.
Also to consider - are you going to have anyone else helping out with it? If so, what strengths/weaknesses does that person bring to the project? Is it going to help you move faster? Or slow you down - because you're training and developing at the same time?

Working with Cyrillic Data

Hi, We have a requirement where I have to work with Cyrillic data i.e. Russian data. I have to parse data based on specific fields. I tried using match function but looks like it is having problem dealing with Cyrillic Russian data. When I try to find an english word in a string then it works finebut when I try to find an Cyrillic character i.e. ул. or г. then I match function would not find this expression in the CYrillic string.
i.e. match_pattern('Арбат ул.','Арбат ул\.') gives me 0
Any idea how I can use BODS on function on Cyrillic data.

Tools required to install to work with Oracle Data warehouse

Could anyone please guide me...as I am quite new to Oracle...

I came to know about OWB and OBIEE, but not sure what exactly these are ?

In order to create and develop a webcenter portal application, you only need to install JDeveloper and download the WeBCenter extensions. That's true.
But this install does not include the WebCenter services like dicussions, document services, analytics,... If you want to use these and integrate them in your portal, then you would need to install the suite as described on my blog.

Only a connection with the data base

I have an application MDI - opening of some windows at the same time.
I use framework ADF Oracle - Swing/ADF JClient.
For each new JInternalFrame a BindingContext (bootstrap) is servant, with this a new connection in the data base is created. Already I tried to use the same, but generally an action in a screen intervenes with the other.
How I can make this (application MDI - ADF) only having a connection in the database?

the Data Base, two threads can't to request the data
in the same time?.If two threads use the same database connection at the same time, bad things will happen. That is why each thread must use its own database connection. The easiest way to make that happen is to have a pool of connections.

BPEL with TWO data base polling adapters????

Can some one tell, Is it possible to have two data base polling adapters in one BPEl process??
What I am trying to do is , simultaneoulsy polling two independent data base tables in one bpel with two receive activities, but it did not work as BPEl should have only one start activity.
Please post your ideas , if we can achive this.

So, are you trying to detect the fact that two different rows in two different tables were both inserted? If so are they related some how? Are they parent child? Is one guaranteed to appear before the other?
I'm thinking two processes with database adapters that in turn call a third process which has two receives which are connected via a correlation set.
Another solution would be database triggers that look for the existence of both rows before inserting into a third table -- this third table would drive the database adapter.

Tabbed Panels: Opening panel with panel number doesn't work with Spry Data

I have some data inside a TabbedPanelsContent div, and would
like to be able to open tabs using links, but it only seems to work
with static content.
Clicking on tabs themselves loads content correctly, whereas
clicking on links does nothing. I tried both - panel number and
panel ID - neither worked. What gives?

Work with Oracle Data Connection

I begin to use the last version of ODT for VS.NET 2005. I havn't used it before.
As I conect to shema via data connection node then I can see and work with objects that are in this schema only. I have grants to select and update objects in other schemas, moreover there are public synonyms for these objects but I can't see them via specific connection. Of course I can add connection node per every schema but I don't know login to all of them. I have access to some objects via synonyms only. Please suggest me what I can do in this situation. You connect to WHAT with scott/tiger? To sqlserver or to Oracle? The message itself is an odbc message, so I think it's the connection to sqlserver and it's very likely here user scott does not exist. Give us more informations what you are actually doing.

Working with complex data types in web services ...

Hi All,
I have created a webservice and created an interface for that in ADF. Now as my web service returns a complex data type, i followed the steps given in this article "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/wsadf/adfcomplexwstypes.html" and it works fine, my results also get displayed. But only issue is i get a warning "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.util.calendar with value:2008-09-23T23:51:30.000+05:30" and if i replace all the java.util.Date with oracle.jbo.domain.Date then i get a warning "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:oracle.jbo.domain.Date with value:2008-09-23T23:51:30.000+05:30". Now i am unable to understand this although i believe it is a data type mapping issue, but not sure how to rectify it.
Anybody knows the wayout?

Thanks for youe response. I also tried makeing data type as string in place of date in data control.xml and it worked fine. So it confirms that i am facing with exactly similar issue as yours.
I tried solution 2 mentioned in Frank's mail but its not helping[in fact i am already using web proxy as i am delaing with complex data types]. I created a web proxy and in java bean i placed break points to check the control flow[in order to check the root cause] but control never reaches the java bean!! I am not sure about the cause for it...control should pass through java bean isn't it??
I am quite new to SOA...so can somebody just elaborate on how to rectify this using web proxy. I have been using this rl "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/wsadf/adfcomplexwstypes.html" to work with web proxies" to work with proxies.

Reference for working with a data collection retreived from a Web Service

Does anyone have a good resource / example of working with multi row data collections returned from a web service call?
In addition to the basic return of x data rows, I will also be getting parent child collections. For example,
for each Customer row, 0 or more Customer Invoices
I have found many guides the relate to single values being retrieved by the web service, but I have not found any that refer to data collections.

That can all certainly be done with a 13" MBP.
You'd want to get a USB hub, preferably USB 3.0 to plug in your optical drive, keyboard and mouse.
For your external monitor you can use a Mini DisplayPort adapter to DVI or HDMI (or if it's a retina MBP use the HDMI out).
For your ethernet, it will plug right into the non-retina. If you get the retina, you'd need a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter (faster) or a USB to ethernet adapter (slower).

Working with DAQmx data

This VI collects analog voltage over time. I am currently using 1 Channel and N Samples. Using the Write to Measurement File.vi, I can view the .lvm data nicely in Excel, with time in the first column and voltage in the second column. However I would like the data in an array, with time and voltage, that I can work with and not just in .lvm format, like wiring it to the Write to Spreadsheet.vi. When I wire the data from the DAQmx read VI to Write to Spreadsheet.vi, only one voltage value is listed. I have tried the Build Array function but it just lists voltages across the first row (I want them in 2 columns), and it doesn't list all of them either.

Hi,
Daqmx gives only the channel data and not the time stamp. Its the LVM file driver that generates the time stamp based on the input data.
Just generate the time stamp and append it to output of the Daqmx and write a spreadsheet string to an ASCII file.

Working with large data and PHP

Using a backend MySQL database, I'd like to interact with
this data using PHP. I got information from one link:
