Urgent : Regarding Oracle Applications tutorials for beginners

Hi ,
This is vamsi krishna. I am new to oracle applications. I am looking for material which contains different examples for:
1) Reports and various types of reports
2) Forms and forms customization(all types of examples)
3) Detailed examples of all types of canvases in forms
4) All the cycles and interface programs that are called in each cycle. for example in an O2c cycle what are the tables that are effected and what all interface programs or api's that are called in between.
Please send me the links to forums where i can easy learn all these.

I absolutely concur with this view. When I first started using ApEx, I was basically given a user guide and told to get on with it :-) Subsequently, for the first 6 months or so, I built probably fairly lousy (but functional) apps until I got a better grasp of Oracle architecture.
That being said, SQL is an absolute must if you are going to work on a database. PL/SQL really should be learned as well because your application will be limited without it. CSS and Javascript and nice to have's, but they can be learned as you go. Since all of the api's are built in pl/sql, it would really hinder what you could do if you didn't know it.One resource I have found very useful is the good old 'Ant' book a.k.a. Oracle PL/SQL Programming by Feuerstein, et al. I have a well-thumbed 4th edition sitting on my desk at the moment - weirdly for a text book, rather a joy to read.
I personally found Jay-Lew's "Cost-based Oracle Fundamentals" a somewhat bitterer pill to swallow - tough on the way down but good for one's constitution!

Oracle Applications is an integrated ERP solution, with Finance, Manufacturing and CRM modules. Please visit appsnet for further information.
Unlike other Oracle products, Oracle doesnot give free software downloads for Oracle Applications. They were once giving trial versions for about 40 USD. Now I am not sure, please check up Oracle website www.oracle.com. Look for link on "e-business suite" under the 'products' directory.
If you can get hold of documentation on 11i, you can check out System Administration and Application Object Library (AOL) modules, these fall in your area. You can find this on oracle website or metalink.
Be aware that general Oracle DBA on 8i or 9i is a different ballgame than managing 11i. Lot of websites are available for these harried people, and for more information, you can visit the websites www.appsdba.com, www.oncalldba.com or do a general google search.
If you can get hold of a book "OCP for Oracle Financials 11.0" by Christopher Allen and Vivian Chow, this has good documentation on above two modules. But this is in 11.0, not 11i.

Very big difference with respect to training and skills
And Oracle DBA needs to know $ORACLE_BASE and $ORACLE_HOME.
An Apps DBA needs to be familiar with these plus $APPL_TOP, $COMN_TOP, $PROD_TOP, and much much more including Application Servers, JAR files, EAR files, and, again, much much more.

The first exam in the certification track, Oracle 11i E-Business Suite Essentials, is now available and you can attend a course for it or utilize CD based training to cover the exam content. Personally, Id rather learn off a CD so I think Ill be going that route. Strictly speaking you do not need Application Server or OHS for running Apex, you have an option in ApexListener. If it is a small installation then stick to EPG that comes built-in.
Try downloading the Oracle HTTP Server from here . You will need to check the commercial aspects yourself as OHS is not a free software for Production environment, AFAIK.

Oracle Application Server for SLES Linux error when install

I try install Oracle Application Server Infrastructure (as_linux_x86_portal_wireless_101202) on SLES:
1. I install orarun package.
2. Install patch 3167528 - remove entries from the "/etc/services"
error when install - the OPMN process manager failed to start.
I read opmn/logs: can't load shared library libdb.so.2...
I check /usr/bin/libdb.so and found libdb-4.3.so
I create simbolik link libdb.so.2 to libdb-4.3.so and retry install oracle Application Server Infrastructure, but have this error again.
I try install Oracle Application Server Infrastructure on several linux distribs, but have this error again adn again..
how I can fix this error? help mee pls..

I think that you need to download a patch for that error, this patch is just a library that you need create a link to it.

Oracle Application Adpater for FDM 11.1.1.3

Hello,
Can anyone tell me what version of the Oracle Application Adpater I should use for FDS 11.1.1.3? While reviewing the Readme docs on http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/nav/portal_6.htm I only see an adapter for 11.1.1.2. I have downloaded the Oracle Application Driver from the Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (11.1.1.3.0) Media Pack for Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit) site but i get an invalid version error message.

Tony,
The reason you aren't finding anything that is compatible is because it was replaced with the product ERPi. That is why FDM now has an ERPi adapter.
ERPi then requires ODI. I would suggest you review the documentation and information posted on OTN for more information.

URGENT ! Oracle application server document link doesn't work...

we can't download these document for 3 day.
