URGENT : Regarding routing tables

hi,
i want to know which are the tables used in the routing?

hi,
actualy my requirement is in CA03 there is a field called base quantity and i want to know where this is come from bcoz in this tcode it is specifying a structure and i want to know which transparent table is used to store this field?

    Hi,
    I am making a report in which i have to display the stock during the routing i.e. in CA03 we get to know which are the operations are implemented on a material. the requirement is if there are 50 pcs of material are in 1st operation and only 10 materials are able to reach next stage of operations ,then how many pcs of a material are left among them? i want to know which are the tables used for these qtys as i am checking that in CA03  the values are in structure and i want to know in which tables these quantities to be present.

  • URGENT : Regarding External Table

    Hi,
    We have some external tables in our production environment. In unix level we have two users 1) ORACLE (Primary Group DBA, Secondary group RELEASE)
    2) PROD (Primary Group RELEASE).
    Now the log file directory of external table owned by PROD user and RELEASE group.
    What minimum priviledges is reqire in unix level, so that ORACLE user can create log files for external tables there.
    I have tried with 775, but it is trrowing the follwoing error :
    ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
    ORA-29400: data cartridge error
    KUP-04063: unable to open log file log_flow.log
    OS error Permission denied
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.ORACLE_LOADER", line 19
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    Can any one suggest ASAP.
    One more Issue I have facing with external tables. The follwoing select "select * from dba_directories" showing all the directories I have created (data,log,reject,error), but "select * from dba_external_locations" showing only the data file locations not showing the error,log and reject location, and when the DATABASE is bounced due to some other reason the DDL of external table get changed (error,log and reject file location was not there). Can any one suggest any work around.
    Any body can call me up in any one of the following nos.

    Hi,
    Have you try to create a file manually with oracle user ito this log directory ?
    Have you check the good directory ?
    dba_external_locations It describes the locations (data sources) of all external tables in the database.

    PS : you know, today is saturday, and in most of countries, saturday is the week-end - in other word not working -, since this forum is based on volunteers, you can wait some time an answer, if you have. If it's very urgent, contact your oracle support service.

  • SMTP routing table does not seem to be working correctly.

    Why isn't the SMTP routing table working properly?
    <P>
    First, make sure you have the routing table setup correctly.
    Entries in the Routing table are in the following format:
    <P>
    <incoming recipient domain>:<route to this host>
    <P>
    For example, if you want all mail addressed to [email protected]
    to be routed to mailhost1.realdomain.com, you would add the following
    line to the SMTP routing table:
    <P>
    virtualdomain.com:mailhost1.realdomain.com
    <P>
    With the above option, any mail coming in addressed to <anyone>@virtualdomain.com
    will be routed to mailhost1.realdomain.com. The recipient email
    address will not be re-written, so mailhost1.realdomain.com needs to
    accept mail addressed to the original address, @virtualdomain.com,
    even though it is in realdomain.com.
    <P>
    Before adding, changing or deleting any SMTP routing table entries, double-check
    with the DNS Administrator that the host names you specify are valid,
    registered host names. If in doubt, you can use IP addresses for the
    "route to" host, but not for the "incoming recipient domain".
    <P>
    Wild cards can be used in mail routing table options, but they indicate that a
    hostname <B>will</B> fill that spot. For example:
    <P>
    *.domain.com:mailserver1.domain.com
    <P>
    In the above example, any mail addressed to <anyone>@<anyhost>.domain.com
    will be routed to mailserver1.domain.com. However, mail addressed to
    <anyone>@domain.com will not be routed. To fix this, add this
    line:
    <P>
    domain.com:mailserver1.domain.com
    <P>
    <B>Note:</B> You cannot use the SMTP routing table to route all mail
    addressed to a specific domain to a specific account. You would need to use
    a "Mail Pool" account for this, which is only available in Messaging Server
    3.5+.

    is this entry valid for routing table in nms v 4.15 p6
    * : anotherhot.mydomain.com:5000
    assuming that my anotherhost is listening and accepting on port 5000 for smtp connections. and i wanna forward all the mails to that host

  • How to add a route in routing table

    Hi,
    I want to add a new route to the routing table to get access to a explicit tunnel. Using Terminal I tried
    route add 172.16.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.168.0.102
    route: must be root to alter routing table
    so I tried:
    sudo route add 172.16.0.0 mask 255.255.0.0 192.168.0.102
    To proceed, enter your password
    My password ist enmpty. But I see the message:
    Sorry, try again.
    Is there a better way to add a route to the actual routing table?
    How can I reset my root-password?
    Thanks & best regards,

  • Managing routing tables in Windows

    Hi,
    I need some help regarding manipulating routing tables in Windows through JAVA. what i am looking for are functions in java that i can use to make changes in the OS (windows) routing tables so as to provide facilites like forwarding, routing etc to the various packets on the basis of their destinations (and may be source)
    Can anyone give me some pointers regarding that?
    Thanks in advance.
    Amitabh

    Maybe you can use the Runtime class to actually call
    Windows' exe "route.exe" and use route.exe's
    arguments to specify what you needs.

    For VPN routes to be exchanged between the two PEs, you first need to configure VPNv4 address family on each one of the PEs.
    Carrying the full Internet routing table over VPNv4 will work but it is not very scalable since all PE routers have to hold the full Internet routing table in the VRF context in addition to potentially full Internet routing table in the global routing table. If you want to exchange full Internet routing table between the two CEs, it would be preferable to use something Carrier Supporting Carrier (CSC).
    Please refer to the following URL for additional information on CSC:
    http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios120/120newft/120limit/120s/120s23/fscscl23.htm

  • Vrf routes into global route table

    Dear All
    I am stuck with a design I am trying to come up with for our EDGE network and looking for ideas from the community.
    It is similar to what is described here:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Network_Virtualization/ServEdge.html#wp86450http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Enterprise/Network_Virtualization/ServEdge.html#wp86904
    In short we have a multi-context FWSM at 2 sites creating an EDGE network, each site operate independently. The sites are linked internally in a single routing domain using OSPF. Each of the outside networks are in seperate VRFs, single-tier model.
    I need to find a way to:
    1) link the 2 sites (currently is done with a GRE tunnel between the site vrfs, looking at replacing this with mp-bgp and l3vpn encapsulation)
    2) redistribute routes from each of the vrf into the common global route table (running ospf)
    1 is working nicely with mp-BGP peer between the sites and routes distributed between, however I am stuck on how to achieve 2.
    The only way I can see is to change the global route table to a vrf, then use rt import/export. This is commonly described as shared services. When I did that I got stuck with how to do the BGP peering as the loopback I was using for the peering is inside the new vrf.
    Basically I want dynamic routing from the global route table to learn routes from each of the sites vrf. Then if a particular site's vrf is unavailable, it can pick up the other site's route.
    Am I missing something here? The document linked makes it sound incredibly easy yet I am struggling with how to implement it.
    Any advice is much appreciated

    Hello philip,
    It is really hard to help you, if you do not provide topology where you would like to implement these changes, so just some thoughts to your points:
    2) redistribute routes from each of the vrf into the common global route table (running ospf)
    You can use PE - CE design. VRFs are terminated on PE with all routes you need in respective VRFs. On PE, MP-BGP routes are redistributed into respective VRF's OSPF process . PE is connected with CE via separate physical interface for each VRF or you can use one physical interface with dedicated sub-interface for each VRF. PE is peering with CE using OSPF. All routes end up in CE global routing table.
    Problems with this design ->
    - for each VRF you have to create separate OSPF process on PE and CE, also OSPF process ID has to be unique on PE for each VRF. Also OSPF process ID has to match to establish OSPF neighborship between PE-CE, so on CE you will have to redistribute OSPF routes from each process to your main OSPF process.
    other workarounds ->
    1) instead OSPF you will use as peering protocol BGP between PE-CE, but you still have to redistribute BGP routes to OSPF on CE
    2) you will use different PE to redistribute each VRF -> BGP routes will be redistributed from VRF into OSPF (same process ID as your main OSPF ID). Routes will be advertised via OSPF into CE global routing table.
    You will use on PE per VRF to redistribute routes into OSPF with same process ID as your main process ID. Thanks to different PEs, you can have same OSPF process ID, all these PEs will peer with same CE via OSPF.
    I hope I made my thoughts understandable, cause its quite hard to explain
    When I did that I got stuck with how to do the BGP peering as the loopback I was using for the peering is inside the new vrf.
    This should not be a problem. You can have same IP on all VRF and also global table, so peering can still be done. After BGP routes are exchanged you can leak prefixes from one vrf to another or into global table as you need.

  • Redundant access from MPLS VPN to global routing table

    Several our customers have MPLS VPNs deployed over our infrastructure. Part of them requires access to Internet (global routing table in our case).
    As I'm not aware of any methods how to dynamicaly import/export routes between VRF/Global routing tables, at the moment there are static routes configured - one inside VRF pointing to global next hop, another one in global routing table, pointing to interface inside VRF.
    Task is to configure redundant access to Internet. By redundancy I mean using several exit points (primary and backup), what physically represents separate boxes.
    Here comes tricky part - both global static routes (on both boxes, meaning) are valid and reachable in all cases - no matter if specific prefix is reachable in VRF or not. What I'd like to achieve is that specific static route becomes valid only if specific prefix is reachable inside VRF. Yea, sounds like dynamic routing :), I know
    OK, hope U got the idea. Any solutions/recommendations ? Running all Internet routing inside VRF isn't an option, at least for now :(

    Hi Andris,
    I did not mean to have a VRF on the CE. The CE would have both PVCs in the global routing table - his ONLY routing table in fact. One PVC would be used to announce routes into the customer specific VPN (VRF configured on the PE). The other PVC would allow for internet access through the PE (global IP routing table on the PE).
    dot1q will be ok as well.
    This way the CE can be a normal BGP peer to the PE, i.e. there is no MPLS VPN involved here. This allows all options of customer-ISP connectivity.
    Example:
    PE config:
    interface Serial0/0
    encapsulation frame-relay
    interface Serial0/0.1 point-to-point
    description customer VPN access
    ip vrf customer
    ip address 10.1.1.1 255.255.255.252
    interface Serial0/0.2 point-to-point
    description customer Internet access
    ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.252
    router rip
    address-family ipv4 vrf customer
    version 2
    network 10.0.0.0
    no auto-summary
    redistribute bgp 65000 metric 5
    router bgp 65000
    neighbor 192.168.1.2 remote-as 65001
    address-family ipv4 vrf customer
    redistribute rip
    CE config:
    interface Serial0/0
    encapsulation frame-relay
    interface Serial0.1 point-to-point
    description VPN access
    ip address 10.1.1.2 255.255.255.252
    interface Serial0.2 point-to-point
    description Internet access
    ip address 192.168.1.2 255.255.255.252
    router bgp 65001
    neighbor 192.168.1.1 remote-as 65000
    router rip
    version 2
    network 10.0.0.0
    no auto-summary
    Of course you can replace RIP with whatever is suitable for you. And don´t sue me when you do not apply required BGP filters for internet access... ;-)
    The other option ("mini internet") would be feasible as well. Just make sure your BGP filters are NEVER messed up and additionally apply a limit on the numbers of prefixes in your VRF mini-internet.

    Martin

  • Show ip route / routing table

    hi all,
    i have a question regarding the output of the "show ip route" command:
    C         192.168.30.0/24 is directly connected, Ethernet0
                172.16.0.0/24 is subnetted, 1 subnets
    S          172.16.1.0 is directly connected, Ethernet0
                   192.168.38.0/24 is variably subnetted, 2 subnets, 2 masks
    S       192.168.38.0/24 is directly connected, Ethernet0
    S       192.168.38.0/25 [1/0] via 192.168.30.40
         10.0.0.0/32 is subnetted, 1 subnets
    C       10.1.1.1 is directly connected, Loopback1
    I understand why lines 4,5 and 6 are present. Its cause the network 192.168.38.0 is supposed to have a /24 mask but there is also a network with a /25 mask and thus it says this network is variably subnetted.
    But why doesnt it show the same for line 2 and 3? Shouldnt it say 172.16.0.0/16 is subnetted? I understand why is doesnt show "variably subnetted" as there is only on subnet but why not 172.16.0.0/16?
    And the same for the last two lines. Why not 10.0.0.0/8 but /32? Even though its a loopback interface still the network 10.0.0.0 is supposed to have a /8 mask by nature.
    And it might be a stupid question but does a static router always have a metric of 0? I guess so as they dont have to compete with other routes, right?
    I mean a static route goes always straight into the routing table and the metric is actually just for comparison reasons within a routing protocol to see what is the best route which should be suggested for being written into the routing table.
    Also i tried to put static routes permanently into the routing table with the "permanent" command but always when i detach the cable of the corresponding interface the routes get kicked out of the RT. Is there a trick or something i have to be aware of?
    thanks for any help!

    I will take the easy part of the question first. One of the basic principles of IOS is that it will put routes into the routing table is the corresponding interface is in the up state. And that IOS will withdraw a route from the routing table is the corresponding interface is in the down state. So when you disconnect the interface then the route using that interface is withdrawn.
    The more complex part of the question is the aspect of metrics with static routes. My explanation here would start from the point that the reason we use metrics is so that we can compare routes learned within a protocol and determine whether one is better than the other. This makes sense for RIP, it makes sense for OSPF, and it makes sense for EIGRP. But it does not make sense for static routes. To try to make it a bit more clear: if RIP or OSPF or EIGRP learn a route to a subnet that goes via FastEther0/0 and also learn a route to that subnet that goes via FastEther0/1 then we compare the routes and if one has a more attractive metric then that is the one that gets put into the routing table. But with static routes if there is a static route for a subnet that goes via FastEther0/0 and also a static route for that subnet that goes via FastEther0/1 then there is no comparison and both routes are put into the routing table. Since we do not do comparisons with static routes then there is no concept of metric associated with the static route and IOS puts a default value into the metric field of a static route.

  • SMTP routing table

    Hello,
    Solaris 8/ Iplanet Messaging Server 4.X
    Solaris 8 / SunOne Messaging Server 5.2
    My question is about SMTP routing table and for
    iMS4.x AND SMS5.2
    Question:
    In my SunOne Messaging Server 5.X I have 10 domains.
    mydomain0.com, mydomain1.com to mydomain9.com
    I try to have this:
    all peoples from mydomain0.com, send mail to internet,
    mail is send to smtp.relay0.com
    all peoples from mydomain1.com, send mail to internet,
    mail are send to smtp.relay1.com
    etc...
    And I have 10 relays
    Can I do this, and how (I don't see in documentation or
    FAQ)
    thank you

  • Troubleshooting with IOS BGP and IOS XR BGP - routing table Empty

    Hi
    actually we tried to make a neigborhood between ASR9000 and Cisco 7600, we have the neigborhood active but on routing tables from ASR only have the networks locals or connected doesn´t learn anything from BGP 7600
    the diagram is this:
    When try to know the routes on ASR9000 from Cisco 7609 happen the follow
    the neighbor is UP from Cisco 7600 and ASR 9000 but the routing table is empty.
    the config on cisco 7600 is:
    router bgp 2006
    neighbor 172.16.14.6 remote-as 64512
    address-family ipv4
    neighbor 172.16.14.6 activate
    the config on cisco ASR9000 is:
    router bgp 64512
    bgp router-id 172.16.161.1
    address-family ipv4 unicast
    neighbor 172.16.14.5
      remote-as 2006
      address-family ipv4 unicast
    Help us
    Best Regards

    Another important one is the fact that in XR you need to have RPL policies (even if they only have a "pass-all" functionality) to accept inbound/outbound routes in eBGP.
    Check the article on the asr9000 unequal cost multipath that has some sample BGP outputs and show command verifications that may help also.
    If not the case, get us the XR config from the A9K side.
    Also what does the bgp table on teh IOS side look like? as Richard suggests, there doesnt seem to be anything injected by the 7600 itself.

  • How Clean ip Route Table and configuration

    How Clean ip Route Table and configuration?
    Cisco have any best practice?

    Hey Juan,
    your question is not very clear but i believe you want to know how to clean ip route table and configuration. So:
    1. Cleaning IP routing table - clear ip route * - This will refersh the routing table.
    2. Cleaning configuration - It depends on the device however in most of Cisco devices you may clear the startup configurtion and its done :)

  • Wsn routing table

    Hi,
    I'm a novice student working on a wsn project.I have some questions. I have searched for a long time in the net but I didn't find a response.
    1) What are the components of a routing table of each sensor node? How to implement it?
    2) If I want to implement an existant routing algorithm or a new one, which langage or plateform should I use?
    3) How to simulate a WSN? Which soft ware or plateform should I use?
    4) I have no application of my new algorithm, how to find an application on the net?
    Thanks in advance,
    Best regards,

    Hello Wsn2011,
    If I understand what you are looking for, I believe that it is not possible. If you look at item 6 here, you will see that we use a proprietary technology for routing that is limited to the configuration discussed in number 7 of that same listing. The networking topologies section here and this networking topology page may also be of assistance, but I don't think we have a solution for you as far as being able to implement a custom routing configuration.
    This forum post ( http://forums.ni.com/t5/Wireless-Sensor-Networks/WSN-Routing-Tables-and-best-path-determinations/m-p... ) also discusses similar topics.
    As to simulating the device, you can develop for, but not simulate, a wsn system by simply adding the gateway to your project:
    I am not 100% sure what you are asking, unless it relates to the routing questions above. Would you mind explaining that item in a bit more detail?
    Thanks,
