URGENT ! SelectOneChoice Bug

Hi,
I have an input table with a couple of columns, 2 of which are SelectOneChoice with dynamic list value from other lookup view objects. One of the SelectOneChoice is based on a non-mandatory field and another on a mandatory field.
I set all columns to be sortable. At first entering the page, data is populated correctly including the two columns. However, when I sort any one of the columns in the table, data on the column of non-mandatory SelectOneChoice disappear while data on the other column shows OK. when I sort any one column (not neccessary the same column) again, the disappearing data reappear !!!! the third, disappear; the fourth time reappear, and so on just like magic.
It is definitely a bug in 10g (10.1.3). Can anyone tell me a workaround before Oracle can fix it?

hi
when your column content is SelectOneChoice which is a ADF control. how can you sort many SelectOneChoice which will appear on each row of the display. Your sort criteria can be on the data which are inside the column. What is the criteria that your'e using for sorting?

  • VERY VERY URGENT PRODUCION BUG 11i 11.5.10.2 and 9.2.0.8

    Hi !
    We have 11.5.10.2 with 9.2.0.8.0 DB and currently we are hitting with a bug on Production cus of which the db went down, I raised a query with Oracle and the support engineer said as below.
    UPDATE
    =======
    Since the database successfully started it's impossible to find the root cause of this problem
    9.2.0.8.0 is not supported any longer .
    This means :
    - no error correction
    - no guaranteed skillset availability
    - no adherence to service level targets
    - no escalation support.
    We will do our best to solve your issue. However, if there is no available
    workaround or fix for this version of Oracle, you may need to migrate to a
    supported version to solve this problem.
    Since 9.2 is not supported any longer and cannot create a new bug for
    this ORA-7445 [kslges()+144] to involve Development.

    Here is another stuff with ref to Note id : 285267.1 Dated : 26-APR-2009
    3. What are the supported versions for 9ir2 Database ( 9.2.0.x ) and E-Business Suite ?
    Currently 9.2.0.8 is certified on E-Business Suite 11.5.7 and above. You can refer Metalink Note# 216550.1 for more details..
    Now Guyz you must have got my doubt isn't it ? Support Engineer says no support for 9.2.0 and the Metalink Document says its still certified it means supporte, I am getting confuse with this can anyone tell me or guide me what is the exact Fact or am I incorrect ?
    Thank you very much

    Hi,

Support Engineer says no support for 9.2.0 and the Metalink Document says its still certified it means supporte, I am getting confuse with this can anyone tell me or guide me what is the exact Fact or am I incorrect ?Certified means tested and can work with, and Oracle9i database is certified with 11i (mean you can have 11i running with 9i database).
    Supported means the four points you mentioned above (also refer to the following links).

  • URGENT: Serious Bug in 2.0.2.9

    We have uncovered a serious bug with the getElementsByTagName() method that could cause incorrect or inconsistent results.
    Looking at the bytecode via a debugger, we traced it to the checkNamespace method of the XMLElement class. In this class, an explicit object comparison between two strings is performed (s == name). The correct code should be s.equals(name). While a common coding mistake, this creates randomly inconsistent results depending on how the compiler chooses to manage strings with identical values.
    Any suggestions?

  • Urgent : get_item_property------bug ???

    I try to use the
    get_item_property('item_name',visual_attribute) to check the visual attribute name, but it returns 'CUSTOM' to me. But my other forms have no problem on using this built-in.
    Using the get_item_instance_property is the same.
    What is the cause of this ?
    Does anyone have any idea about this.
    please help.

    Hi,
    I think that the maybe reason it does not return you the column name (provided that your system.current_item is really what it should at the time of the execution of get_item_property), is that it actually has no column name attribute specified..
    I think that I have sometime commited changes through a block that had not specified column name in its items, and that makes me thinking that maybe forms associate items with columns that correspond to their Name property instead, if they find nothing on Column Name property.
    Anyway, maybe I'm wrong, but make sure the property is not empty cause I think this is the right way of getting the db column name of an item. And make sure your on the right item when get_item_property is called. hth

  • Urgent anoying bug !!!

    I upgraded my iphone 3GS to the new os4 and i think that the new os is just **** !!!
    first of all the built in way to close apps is really annoying. there are plenty of apps that i don't want to make them run in the background and it is just impossible to set an app to close by itself when pushing the main button.
    So can someone tell me how to go back to 3.x os ???

    Please use the search. The topic of Apps closing, running in the background, multitasking etc. has been discussed at great length over the last month many, many times.
    To briefly recap:
    You do not need to close every App that is in the *Recently Used Apps* list. These Apps are not all running in the background. The vast majority are just frozen in memory. If the OS needs more memory, it will quit an App itself. You do not need to concern yourself about App management.
    So can someone tell me how to go back to 3.x os ???
    There is no officially sanctioned way of going back to iOS 3.x

  • Filtering by Rating Inside Stacks

    Hi
    I like to use the rating system to sort my images but if I also use stacks, it seems to render the filter function inoperative so if I perform the filter, I get shown the correct results, but also a load of incorrect ones too.  They have a symbol on them and say 'no match' but this prevents me from then exporting my search results to another folder - because they're mixed in with a load of unwanted shots.
    Does anyone have a solution to this please?  It seems that the stacks function returns everything in the stack, even if only one or 2 images actually matches the criteria and its stopping me using stacks right now.
    Very grateful for any solutions out there!
    Many thanks
    Ian

    I understand your point.
    My own position is that by the time John R Ellis wrote his severe (but totally justified) paper about the Organizer, Adobe had both a marketing and a technical dilemma : with modest development teams, choosing what was most urgent, fixing bugs or adding new features. By that time I had chosen. The organizer has already too many features and bug fixing was the priority. The many troubles with the Autoanalyzer proved my point.
    In the meantime, Adobe added Bridge as a substitute for Macs; lately, the price of Lightroom has dropped to a sensible level and Bridge has been removed with a feeble Mac version of the Organizer. A number of bugs have been fixed in PSE10, but the main problem for most people was that the bugs of the Folder view were not solved by its being crippled by ignoring subfolders. Since too many users want to use the Organizer as a browser, the Organizer acceptance by its amateur public was severely endangered.
    I am convinced there will be a PSE11 version, if only to get the Mac version nearer to the Windows one. We'll see what the new version has to offer. Fixing old bugs is necessary, but adapting to the new 64 bits OS and the now general use of external drives or NAS should not be ovelooked.
    dj_paige wrote:
    Not sure why we're talking about Lightroom, so back to PSE
    Simple : I have been examining the database structure of PSE6, PSE10 and LR catalogs, and I think that solving the stacks problem discussed here would require too much a reorganization effort, which was prudently avoided in LR.

  • Bug in Reports 6 Urgent

    HI,
    I have Reports (dev 6.0.5). Whenever I use Built in package LIST in my application it compiles but during execution I get an error that package not found...please help URGENT
    TIA
    Anand

    I can't reproduce this with Reports 6i (6.0.8). Are you sure that it's the LIST package that's causing the compilation issues (often this issue can be caused by running against a different database that was compiled against, and data structure changes making automatic compilation impossible).
    If you've checked this out, and still feel that you have a bug then I would suggest that you log an iTAR with Oracle Support.

  • Urgent! Help!!! A bug(?) in Dialog.

    Now I know why everyone writes urgent and help in the subject. It makes you feel really good.
    Anyhow, I searched the forums (honestly!) but found nothing about this particular conundrum.
    When I create a Dialog (the awt kind), it doesn't work as expected graphicswise.
    If I create just a simple Dialog and setVisible() it, it isn't drawn correctly until I move the mouse pointer over it. I.e. the borders are drawn, but the Dialog isn't filled, so you see what was on the screen under it. When I move the mouse over it it paints it and then works correctly. If I add components to the dialog, some component behaves this way. So if I add a Button to a Panel, and then add the Panel to the Dialog, the button and the frame are drawn correctly, but the Panel is not. Again when I move the mouse over it, it draws OK. The funny thing is, that when I add a whole bunch of stuff to the Dialog, it's the last added Panel that bugs. A workaround is to create a 1x1 Canvas and add that to the Dialog, but this seems to be a bug.
    Maybe I'll switch to Swing after I get rid of this bug.

    And since you don't know the answer or probably just don't care, why not make this an underground off-topic thread? I don't really care about Dialogs anyway.
    Man...I have a job interview tomorrow. I'll have to make up some stories tonight.
    I wonder if they'd be interested in my Dialog problem? Might be worth a try.
    I guess I'll be fine, I'll just act natural...or maybe I shouldn't act natural. It could increase my chances. Well, if I get bored I can always play dead until they get annoyed and leave me alone.

  • ADF Bug? SelectOneChoice in af:column becomes null after refresh

    Hello,
    I just discovered a serious issue in my code (ADF 11.1.1.4/Windows 7). I was able to reproduce the issue using the following code :

    </jsp:root>Here is the code from my backing bean :
        private int widgetId = 1010;
        public void previous(){
          text = "action";
          AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");
          ViewObject vo = am.getWidgetView1();
          widgetId--;

          vo.executeQuery();
        public void next(){
          text = "action";
          AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)ADFUtils.getApplicationModuleForDataControl("AppModuleDataControl");
          ViewObject vo = am.getWidgetView1();
          widgetId++;
          vo.setWhereClause("WIDGET_ID="+widgetId);
          vo.executeQuery();
        }Now the issue : if I open the page, the entire widget table is displayed. I click on 'next' and the first record is displayed with correct name and type. If a do a refresh by hitting F5, the action is re-executed and the second row is displayed, also with correct name and type. But if I select 'previous', I come back to the first row but the type is now set to null(0).
    Can you tell me if this code is correct and if yes : are you able to reproduce it? / is this an ADF bug?
    Thank you

    Frank,
    The backing bean is session scoped.
    I tried a second solution using af:iterator and af:selectItem instead of af:selectItems :

        <iterator Binds="WidgetTypeView1" RangeSize="-1"

  • Possible bug  with af:selectOneChoice (Server Exception during PPR, #1)

    Hi,
    I have a big problem and it goes like :
    I have a master-detail form (two very simple View Objects linked by a view link, usual stuff...) and I use popup windows for adding new detail records .
    On the popup window for inserting new detail records I have a return ('Cancel') button (with the standard fuctionality of giving up the inserting, closing popup etc..)
    In the same popup, I have some LOV-s as af:selectOneChoice.
    Everything works fine, as expected, except in the case when there are no existing detail records, and user tries to insert the first detail record
    (by calling CreateInsert operation), and then decides to cancel operation by clicking the Cancel button.
    Then, NullPointerException raises with following stackTrace:
    P.S. We are discovered that the problem is in the af:selectOneChoice, when there are no such one component in the popup,
    all works without problems. The problem raises in a lot of JSF pages which contains af:selectOneChoice

    Hi,
    good news first: The behavior you describe doesn't reproduce in a later build that we use to verify TP4. I didn't test with TP3 but observed two wrong PPR references that I fixed before running the app
    the corrected PPR entries are
    partialTriggers=":::saveAndCreateOrderItemsBtn :::cancelInsertOrderItemsBtn">
    and
    partialTriggers="::ordersPanelCol:ordersTable">
    Also, on the panel Splitter I removed the inline style width:100% height:100% with AFVisualRoot as the style class property. Its a minor cosmetic correction that had nothing to do with the behavior
    Again, thanks for your cooperation. I really apreciate good testcases
    Frank

  • URGENT: Bug in Adobe Acrobat X /// Acrobat.exe Runtime Error! R6025 - pure virtual function call

    Hello
    I work usually with large PDF documents, and I was trying to convert a PDF document of 1000 pages ONE THOUSAND PAGES, to little PDF documents of 10 MB each one.
    When I tried to convert the PDF file into little ones, craaashhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
    I got this message:
    Acrobat.exe Runtime Error! R6025 - pure virtual function call - Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
    This seems to be a BUG AS BIG A GRAND PIANO... so I would like someone from Adobe tell me how may I solve this problem or if they will release an update soon?
    Thank you

  • Urgent: oracle.jbo.domain.Number Bug (continued)

    Dear Shailesh(JDeveloper Team):
    To catch your attention, I posted the topic here again:
    [original topic]
    We are developing a BC4J application for our US customer. Our web server (iAS) and database (Oracle 8i) are installed on RS/6000, AIX 4.3.3
    When we try to set a Number type field value (Number is the only type in Oracle database to stand for a number, either a float field or sequence number). On AIX iAS, if the value is integer, larger than 100 and is not multiple of 100 ( such as 123, 112, 5676, 43435 ), the system(ont our jsp, web bean, but handled by low level classes) will automatically add two zeroes at the end of the number before insert to database table. For example:
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500.
    It is incorrect! On the other hand, when we try to retrieve value from a field which type is Number, if the value is a integer but larger than 100, and is not multiple of 100 ( such as 123, 112, 5676, 43435 ), the system will automatically add two zeroes at the end of the number after got from database table. For example:
    123---->12300
    112---->11200
    5676--->567600
    43435-->4343500
    We check the xml file of the BC4J, Number field type in the middle-tier is denoted as oracl.jbo.domain.Number, so we wrote a program (JSP) without accessing database, like this one:
    <%
    for (int i=0 ; i<1000; i++) {
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(i).toString() %></p>
    <%}%
    The program runs correctly in JDeveloper developing environment on NT workstation( in the developing environment, NT mimic a local virtual middle-tier):
    0
    1
    99
    100
    101
    598
    599
    600
    999
    But after we deployed the jsp to iAS on RS/6000 and browse it, the output result is very inconceivable:
    0
    1
    99
    100
    10100 (Should be 101)
    59800 (Should be 598)
    59900 (Should be 599)
    600
    99900 (Should be 999)
    We checked all through the deployed Jar files on iAS and the oracl.jbo.domain.Number class, we found that the class is extended from oracle.sql.NUMBER, and the toString method is also inherited from oracle.sql.NUMBER.
    We even test below simple jsp program using oracl.jbo.domain.Number type:
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" autoFlush="true" import="java.lang.*,LocaMotion.*"%>
    <HTML>
    <HEAD>
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Oracle JDeveloper">
    <TITLE>
    Hello World
    </TITLE>
    </HEAD>
    <BODY>
    <%
    String strI="123";
    %>
    <p> <%=new oracle.jbo.domain.Number(strI)%></p>
    </BODY>
    </HTML>
    In JDeveloper developing environment, it prints 123 in browser, but when deployed to iAS, it prints 12300.
    Why the same Java class has different behavior under different OS (NT and RS/6000)? We think it is a bug on implementation of oracle.sql.NUMBER. We assume this is caused by the machine CPU register length: NT: 32 bits, RS/6000: 64 bits.
    This bug must be fixed to ensure the BC4J application workable. Would you please resolve this problem for us at your time?
    We are eager to waiting for your answer, as we are in FVT phase, our customer is BITCO enterprises inc. in Virginia.
    Thanks,
    [Answer from Shailesh(JDeveloper Team)]:
    I'd suspect this is an issue in oracle.sql.NUMBER implementation. Could you help us by verifying that oracle.sql.NUMBER.toString() also reproduces the same problem. A potential fix I could think of is to use the jdbc libraries that come with RS/6000-AIX version of the database.

    What's the "jdbc libraries that come with RS/6000-AIX version of the database"?
    ,who offer it? IBM or Oracle. Where could I find it and how to use it? Will oracle.sql.NUMBER problem for AIX fixed?
    null

    As a follow up , could you tell the specific database version of Oracle8i you are using.(i.e 8.1.6 or 8.1.7/ also if you have applied any patches)
    . Just wondering if you had tried a simple JDBC program (without BC4J) (eg: a command line program) which uses oracle.sql.Number and produced the same erroneous results.
    appericiate if you could provide any additional information.
    thanks and best regards

    Hi
    we are trying to follow up internally on this. Did you file a bug with Oracle Support on this. ?
    If not I would suggest to do that, but at the same time we would be following up on that with the respecitive product group which works on that.
    thanks and best regards

    Larry's answer:
    Yes. We opened a Tar on http://metalink.oracle.com (Tar number is 1350841.999), but still no solution provided.
    Our software platform is AIX 4.3.3., Oracle 8i is 8.1.6, iAS is 1.0.
    Below program is a very simple Jsp that uses oracle.sql.NUMBER but no BC4J classed used.
    <%@ page contentType="text/html" autoFlush="true" import="java.lang.*,oracle.sql.*"%>
    <HTML>

    </HTML>
    In JDeveloper developing environment (WINDOWS NT), it prints 123 in browser, but when deployed to iAS on AIX, it prints 12300.

    thanks for the extra information. We have passed the information to specific product group and they are looking into it.
    As it looks like specific issue we can take this offline.

    hi...
    I understand your predicament... Its awful 2 experience such a thing.
    By the way, i am also using n95 v21 and a sandisk 4gb card.
    If i understand it right, after you updated your firmware, you restored the back up settings. And you also mentioned that problem only occurs when you are inserting the memory card.
    It doesn't necessarily mean that your memory card is faulty. When i still have v12 and i updated it to v20, i was using a 2gb and it happened to me, so what I did was 2 copy the files stored in my memory card to computer, put back mmc to n95, format mmc and then manually copy back my files from computer to n95/mmc. And it worked for me!
    Hope this works for you too.
