URGENT: SKYPE Deleting my contacts randomly

As i add contacts or they add me... either one of us accepts.. and for either a brief moment they are contacts then suddenly no longer... or... they are deleted from my contact list days or a week after... i readd them... and they readd me.. and then deleted again. i am at wits end on this. I spent two hours with skype support and no solution. Running version 6.21.... and it didnt work there.. upgraded to the new one.. same issue.. they took over my computer and installed an early version and same issue.
So.. the problem is not my computer but out of my control. Its getting extremely annoying asking friends to readd me daily and then it automatically deletes them.

I have Backup 3 scheduled to backup my address book data files (and a number of others as well) every week, and store them out on my iDisk. When I realized my address book was empty, I used Backup to restore one of the older archives. Without that, I'm not sure what I would have done...
For what it's worth, I have a little bit of new information to add to this story. As an experiment, I restored my backup and immediately exported my entire address book to a vCard file. The next time my data disappeared, I imported the vCard file instead of my address book archive. I lost all of my groups -- which is frustrating -- but so far, the actual contact data has remained in my address book for 5 hours. This is the longest by far...
Interestingly enough, I'm still getting that weird error message in Console, but there used to also be messages about certain contacts not having meta data and certain contacts having meta data. Now, there is just the permissions error...no more complaints about meta data.
Perhaps this is all just a bad coincidence with a corrupted address book data file, but still doesn't explain the Console error message. I'm going to keep experimenting until I either find a solution, someone here suggests a solution, or I simply give up out of frustration.

Contacts randomly deleting themselves throughout the day ios7

With the new update of iOS 7.0.3 it worked fine for a few days than one day it just randomly deleted my contacts and when i went to settings i saw my icloud had my settings turned off and i flipped it on and they all came back. this happened a few times and than it started to only delete the contacts that are over 5 or 6 months old or older (only keeping my recent contacts) than all my old ones would just randomly pop back up. Now its starting to delete them all and i could go to settings click icloud turn off my contacts switch and turn it back on and they would come back in a few minutes. Now they are just all gone, all my text messages and conversations are still there and instead of the name above the convo its just their number. I logged onto my icloud from my laptop and my contacts are still there they just wont sync back up with my phone. I dont understand why they would delete themselves in the first place. I'm out of ideas on this anyone else have any input?

I'm syncing to iCloud. I've experienced the bug where iCloud will turn itself off in settings and it will appear that you've lost all of your contacts until you turn it back on, but this is different. Several times a week for the last 3 weeks or so I'll receive an iMessage from someone who is a contact and regularly messages me, and their message will show up as coming from a phone number.

My phone is deleting my contacts at random. one minute ill have a contact than I'll message them and than my phone deletes them and its just a number. how can i stop this and get my contacts back?

since getting my new phone i had to send it out for repair. after only 2 weeks of having the phone. i got a loner phone and restored my phone to the loner, but than a few days after getting this loner phone my phone started deleting my contacts. i couldn't find them and i know i had them. than i turned off my iCloud for contacts thinking that would help. it never. my phone started deleting numbers as i would use them, like i would select a contact message them than right after i hit send that contact got deleted. i figured it was just the loner phone, but since getting my phone back and restoring it it too is deleting my contacts. any way to stop this and get my contacts back?

It appears that you are using iCloud to sync your contacts, is that correct? Other than turning off iCloud for contacts and then turning it back on again, what other troubleshooting steps have you tried?

Urgent!!!! I hope this gets to Microsoft ASAP... My son who is a minor IS receiving these girlcam requests.... 2 of them so far and they are blocked and we deleted their chat history. They asked him for his credit card details of all things to verify his age. They say they are searching him on the members directory. They shouldn't be able to contact him at all if they are not on his contact list.
Please add age related restrictions to contact usage Microsoft and please fix the above issue of not being able to delete blocked contacts from the home screen. We cleared the chat history already.

This issue has been fixed; please ensure your son's Skype software is updated: Download Skype If your son is using v. 6.16, please post back to advise if he is still seeing the pictures or avatars of blocked contacts on his Skype Home window.

Accidentally deleted a contact

sorry for posting this in multiple areas, I'm just not sure where it should be. :X
Hey, I just accidentally deleted a contact, the person doesn't use it anymore (or rarely) and I want to keep it on my list. Is there a way to readd it back to my list?

How do I get Yahoo to stop deleting my contacts?

I have had Yahoo on my iPhone as long as I've had the phone (1 yr) and when I originally got the phone I entered each contact by hand directly into the phone. Then last weekend all of the phone numbers for my contacts randomly got deleted. I narrowed it down to an issue with the Yahoo contacts. Within Yahoo, however, I only have e-mail addresses and no phone numbers but people have the same names. I tried to restore the phone from a back-up and the contacts reappear but within a few minutes the contacts are deleted again. Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this?

go to settings>mail>and click on your email>make sure contacts is on on all your emails

Editing old skype to go contacts

Is it still possible to edit old skype to go contacts you used to be able to go to this link

and change your speed dial contacts now that link doesn't work and when you go to old skype to go number it says skype to go settings shows some speed dial contacts on mine it shows 5 out of the 9 that i actually have and those 5 aren't in the same place as when i phone the skype to go number. I don't see where to edit them there like there used to be. on the bottom of the page it says When you add or edit your contacts on the main page, we’ll automatically update your speed dials. If i already have 9 speed dial contacts how can i add contacts?

If you let me have one of the #s you can do without for a short period I'll arrange for it to be deleted so you can add a new one. It can be added back at ant time.

Delete a contact

How do I delete a contact from my contacts list? Just got Windows 8 about an hour ago but I really have no idea.......

Under people, select the contact you want to remove >> Right Click >> Click Remove.
desktop UI
Right click on contact on contact list and select "Remove From Contacts". Alternatively, select the contact and press DEL Key.
Please note that, you cannot delete the Facebook contacts within Skype application.

E7 - Exchange contacts randomly disappearing

Hi, I've got an E7 phone which is synchronized to my Exchange 2003/Outlook 2010 email account. Since I got this phone, I've had problems on multiple occasions with contacts simply disappearing - they are suddenly gone from both my phone and my Outlook account. I have a lot of contacts in my address book that I don't use regularly, so it's hard to know just how widespread the problem is. But three or four times over the last few months, a very important contact has disappeared, along with all the notes and information that I'd added. Can anyone help me with this?

Since my configuration is also synced to Outlook, one possibility is the syncing occuring in the reverse direction (ie the entry being deleted by the blank one in the Outlook database).

Contacts randomly disappearing

T-Mobile iPhone 6 Plus running iOS8.1.1.
Contacts are being erased from my phone randomly.
Received calls / iMessages will display phone number rather than contact name and the contacts have apparently vanished completely from list.
Random contacts, not the entire list. Contacts are synced with iCloud.
Any info regarding this issue?

Delete Pending Contact Request

I'm not seeing the right answer to this anywhere.
I made a contact request to the wrong party. It's still pending, and I wish to delete this.
Unless I click on the contact in the far left column, I can't take any action. The only two apparently relevant actions available when I right-click on the contact name are Delete Conversation and Show Profile. But Delete Conversation doesn't really do anything in this case, and there is no action under profile available to delete this contact.
So what is the solution?

on Skype main screen:
click contacts (left sidebar) > sort through contacts and find persons name > right click and hit delete contact

Deleting messenger contacts

I've switched from Windows Live Messenger to Skype and I noticed it imported a lot of contacts that I had blocked/deleted ages ago. I was going to block them again but for whatever reason there is no block option so I just deleted. Is deleting essentially the same thing as blocking? Will these people be able to see my photo, profile information, etc, given that my privacy setting does not allow it?

Deleting facebook contacts?!

When I signed up, skype gave me the option to merge my contacts with facebook, I clicked yes but now allll of my facebook friends are contacts, even those without skype! ive tried to right click and delete contact but they keep appearing back when i next log in! how do i remove the facebook link completely off my skype? im using windows 8 now so lots of help is appreciated!!

Unfortunately, you cannot delete Facebook contacts within Skype application.
try this.
Disconnect Facebook
In Skype, Click View >> Skype Home >> Click the blue (gear) button on the right
Remove Skype from your Facebook account (delete all Skype activity)

Try to reset skype settings
Exit Skype : From the system tray >> right click on the skype icon and click "Quit"
Click Start >> Run Type: %appdata% Rename folder "Skype" to "Old_Skype"
Re-run Skype
Note: You will need your password to re-log on, and re-set any options from default
