URGENT: Smartform - Attaching Font to Device Type and Printing

Hello Smarform Gurus,
I have uploaded CORPOS font to SAP and using in SMARTFORMS. Whenever the PDF is called for invoice, it should print immediately.
When I open the smartform and then print, the printout is coming fine with CORPOS font.
Problem: When Invoice is created and PDF is called immediately, the prinout is not coming properly. It's because the printer device type KYOFS150 we are using does not support CORPOS. Pls let me know the options we have. We have also referred to SAP note 12462.
Thanks in advance,
Abhishek

  • Device type and print options

    Hi all,
The device type HP LJ 4350 enables print options and allow us to set which paper tray is to used in a specific form.
However, our usual supplier does not sell this device type anymore.
Does anyone know another device type that could allow tray configuration in the SPAD transaction?
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Take a look at SAP note #1049778. For recent releases, the device type HP4350 should be already available in transaction SPAD n the system.
Also as per SAP note #1049778, most of the new device types that were developed within the SAP Printer Vendor program (SAP note #1130927) support the new print options.(see SAP note #1103422)

  • Device Type to print IR56B

    Hi,
What is the device type to be used for generating and printing the IR56B form with Chinese Character?
We are currently using the following device types:ZHANWIN and SAPWIN. However we cannot print the IR56B form completely. The bottom part (I.R.56B) is missing. We cannot change the device type because the form should be printed in one sheet as per client's requirement. And the form should print Chinese Characters. So, is there a note that we should apply to print the IR56B completely or is there other device type that we can use?
    Please advise asap.
    Thank you,
    Claire

    Hi Salil,
Thanks for that information. However the issue is when we print the IR56B form, the "I.R.56B" is missing at the bottom line of the form when we use the device types:ZHANWIN and SAPWIN.
But when we use the device type: HPLJ4000, the "I.R.56B" is not missing at the bottom line of the form however the hard copy is being printed into 2 separate sheets and cannot print Chinese characters.
Is there a note or anything that we need to change in the format setting of device types:ZHANWIN and SAPWIN?
    Thank you,
    Claire

  • Device type for printer LOCL

    Hi everyone,
Do you know a device type for LOCL that will be suitable for all the formats? Our users are using printer LOCL. We Had an issue before that the font of the printout is larger than the usual so we changed the device type. Recently, another user complained because the font of his printout is smaller than the usual. These are two different users with two different types of output devices but both are using printer LOCL. A change in the device type will correct one issue but will raise another. Please help. Thanks.

    Dear Sheryl,
Check if you maintained value '__DEFAULT' for Host Printer under Access Method.
Also, Device Class is Standard Printer.

  • Device Type to print Vietnamese Characters

    Hi Gurus,
I can print Vietnamese characters in a laser printer using the device type SWINCF and Access Method F (Frontend printing).
Now I want to print using Access Method U (Print using Berkeley Protocol) in a network printer (located overseas). I am using a unicode device type ZHPUTF8F because our SAP system is running under Unicode (ECC 6.0). Unfortunately the printout for the Vietnamese characters are wrong (garbage characters). Is it possible to print Vietnamese characters using a device type other than SWINCF? The printer model that I am testing with is HPLJ 4250.
One more thing, we will be needing to print using a dot matrix printer. Is there a specific device type that can print Vietnamese characters for dot matrix printer (e.g. Printronix)?
    Thanks,
    Andre

    Hi Andre,
did you check SAP note 750219 that all listed prerequisites are met ?
Regarding other printers and Unicode support, please have a look at:

  • HT204135 I have two Epson printers and one Canon printer. Why am I unable to access the same print options on my MacBook Pro as I could on mp PC i.e. select paper type and print quality?

I have just purchased a MacBook Pro as my PC has finaly died.
I have three Inkjet printers i.e. Epson Photo PX700W Epson Photo R340 and a Canon Pixma ip4600 which I connected to my Mac and the print drivers were automatically downloaded. Now when I print using any of the printers the functionality PC i.e. Choice of paper and print quality settings. Is this all I get when using the Mac OS lion or should the functionality be on a par with Windows?

Depending on the application you are printing from, you may need to press the Show Details button in the print dialog to see all of the additional driver menus.
The image below is for the extended print dialog of TextEdit and for a Canon MP990 printer. The Show Details button is on the bottom of the print dialog and will change to Hide Details when selected. And with the menu changed to Quality & Media, you have paper options and print quality settings.

  • Font Size in preview and printed web pages

Hi: I have had a long running problem that annoys me. ever since I purchased a 20inch LCD and changed my display to 1680x1050, web pages that I print appear very small. the same thing happens if I go through preview. Word documents do not have this problem; the font size there appears normal and is easily read.
Is there a solution to this?

There is a way to increase the default 72 DPI rez that saving a PDF uses, if your interested I'l try to find it.
    Nevermind, found it...
To save PDFs in better resolution from Preview, try these Quartz Filters courtesy Jerome Colas...

  • Reverse Type and Print Text as Black

I made a black box and on another layer I made the type "white" by choosing "paper". On screen it looked correct.
Then I did a preflight and chose "print text as black" because I thought the text in the rest of the doc looked better with that choice.
Problem: After printing, the text in the box came out black instead of white. What should I have done? I am using InDesign CS5 on Windows.

That’s what you asked for, isn’t it? Text as black means all of the text, not just some of it.
Now, before you get horribly frustrated I suggest taking a step back in your move to InDesign.
First, buy this book: http://amzn.to/ORQqtT ; Sandee Cohen’s Visual Quick Start Guide is the best beginner book on the market. It’s the best $20 you’ll ever spend.
Secondly, check out the video training on Lynda.com. Here’s a link for a one week free trial: http://bit.ly/fcGpiI

  • OSA: fonts in offline layout and print layout

    All:
For Objective Setting and Appraisals we have our appraisal templates set up and the download function working. When we print the document using the "standard" template the fonts are too large for the space allowed for them, and are thus cut off.
We have the same problem with the offline layout in which the document can be completed and uploaded; the fonts are cut off since they are too large.
Does anyone know how to address this problem? Is there a setting I'm missing? Are there other layouts than the default? Can you create your own layout?
    Thank you,

We found that OSS Note 1372480 will fix this, in case anyone else has this problem.
