URGENT!.... Testing a proxy service.
Hi!..
just trying out ALSB 2.5 and had some issues on which i need help.
I had a proxy service, which is based on a remote web service ( implemented in WLI 8.1). This should execute a "processRequest" operation ( which needs no parameters) and then, based on the response message, route to a business service that is also a remote web service implemented in WLI 8.1
The issue is, when i test the process request operation from WLI console it workks fine, but from ALSB 2.5 test console, it throws

any ideas?
Did you test the business service first in the ALSB test console? My guess is that you have set up the business service wrong. Verify this before worrying about the proxy service.

Any help on this in urgent basis is a lot of help . Thank you in advance.
Edited by: Harry1234 on 2013-03-22 03:46Nop... The poller gets the file, but then publishes in a distributed queue, which means that any managed server can process it. Therefore, they need acesss to a shared file system.
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e15022/config.htm#OSBDG176
Section 4.1:
"Oracle Service Bus load balances File, Email, and FTP transport processing across the managed servers in a cluster. All managed servers in the cluster should be able to access the Archive, Stage, and Error directories specified in any File, Email, or FTP proxy service configuration. These directories should be configured in a shared file system such as NFS. By using a shared file system, users and programs can access files on remote systems almost as if they were local files."

OSB: Issue while testing OSB proxy service using SOAPUI
Hi,
I am trying to test an OSB proxy service using SOAPUI.
The below are the steps i have followed in SOAPUI:
1. File->New SOAPUI project
2. Opens the dialog to create REST service
3. Given service endpoint as: http://<osb servername>:<port>
4. Opens dialog to create a REST resource
5. Resource Path/EndPoint is the OSB proxy service end point.
6. HTTP method = POST
The proxy service accepts 'text' input so i have given Media Type as 'text/plain'
But, when i give the request message and run the request. The request is not running. I am not seeing the processing symbol at the bottom right of the SOAP UI request. Whereas i am able to run other services.
Kindly help me resolve this issue.
Thanks,
Kalpana.your problem:

Hi,
I am new to OSB. I have created some proxy serices and business services. I want to know about the testing procedure. I m using soapUI to test, for that i need to create some script (Ant, Maven) to run in hudson. Can any one help me, what could be the best practise and how to create test scripts from soapUI.You may refer few links -

Exception while testing proxy service in Oracle Service Bus
Hi
I have created a cartridge in the Financial Message Designer with a Universal External message format and a XML External message format and also included the mappings in the same cartridge.A proxy service in Oracle Service Bus10Rg3 is configured to parse and transform the messages based on the mappings using the Java Callout actions to the Financial jar API's. However, when i test the proxy service, I am getting the following exception:
Callout to java method "public static com.bea.alsb.financial.api.MessageWrapper com.bea.alsb.financial.api.TransformationAPI.transform(com.bea.alsb.financial.api.MessageWrapper,java.lang.String) throws com.bea.alsb.financial.api.TransformationException" resulted in exception: com.bea.alsb.financial.api.MessageWrapper$NullMessageDataObjectException: Null message data object in the MessageWrapper
The first java callout is to the parseText method of ParseAPI and the result i.e. the message wrapper object is saved in the variable $txtMessage. This variable is passed as input to the transform method of TransformationAPI.This is where the null pointer exception is thrown. I have added alerts after the parse method and logged the value of the variable $txtMessage. It contains the java object reference but still the Transformation API throws null pointer exception.
I have tested the same java callouts by writing a simple class calling each of these methods in the same order in Eclipse and provided the same input parameters. It works fine there. But in OSB, there seems to be some configuration issue which I am missing out on that leads to the null pointer exception.
Has someone faced this earlier? Can you please help out.Any luck finding an answer? I have the same stack trace showing up while accessing a webservice in Weblogic 10.3.5.

Hi,
I'm new to ALSB and created a weblogic webservice and imported it as a WSDL resource. This is then used for creating a business service. Now, I have a proxy service which take string as input (configured 2 proxy services, one takes from jms request queue and other from http request ) and depending on the string value, it will call the different method in the business service.
When I tested it in the ALSB console, it is able to call the correct method in business service depending on input parameter. but always throw a error with http response code of 500. And it changed the $body with a Fault string of "Failed to get operation name for incoming request".
If am able to test the business service in the alsb console successfully, why am not able to test the proxy service from the console?
Thanks in advance for your help.I might need a bit more info here but it seems you are not setting the 'header' and 'body' variables correctly when calling the business service.
Assuming your service is SOAP1.1, you need to assign valid soap body and header(optional) to those variables inside your route action.
If you open the test console for the business service you should get the payload xml needed for the service. In the proxy, you will need to wrap that with <soap-env:Body> (soap-env is a pre-saved namesapce) and assign it to 'body'.
If you have already done that then I defiantly need more info.

OWSM user name token service policy for a proxy service at OSB
Hi Friends,
I am facing an issue while trying for the OWSM user name token service policy Authentication for a proxy service at OSB. I am using the PS4 SOA suite with AIA foundation pack. very first I am login into the EM console and choose the domain<soaosb_domain> form web logic domain I moved to security->security provide configuration. Inside the security provide configuration we have to key store section and I expand that and we have a configure button inside the keys tore. I click that button and it open a new page. In that page I got the Java key store (JKS) as the default key store and in the access Attributes I keep the default key store path and fill password and confirm password fields. Then in Identity certificates I fill the signature key and Encryption key with key Alias as 'orakey' and same password which I am mentioned at access Attributes. I got the message like the key store is created successfully. Then I restarted the server and again I am login into the EM console and choose the domain<soaosb_domain> form web logic domain I moved to security. In security I choose the credentials. In credentials we have create key. In the create key I add the key as hari-key and provide the hari as a user and his password.
While trying to test the proxy service i am getting the [OSB Security - OWSM: 387253] Failed to initialize OWSM Credential Manager. Please validate the Key store Configuration.
can anyone please look at this and suggest me how can I proceed for this.
Thanks
Harianyone please respond to the above request.
Thanks

SAML Validation Error - Proxy Service - Process WS-Security Header
I am testing a Proxy Service that inspects the WS-Security Header which contains a WS-Policy for a SAML Assertion sender-vouches. The SAML Assertion that is produced is valid according to the oassis schema, but ALSB 2.6 returns a SOAP Fault that the SAML Assertion is not valid. Is there any next steps I should take to diagnose the problem? Also, are there any good tools available for validating a SAML Assertion?
Here is the response of the ALSB 2.6 running on WebLogic 9.2. It is a simple proxy service we use to test whether SAML is working correctly or not. The client correctly sends the sender-voucher with the username/password/certificate alias and so forth.

OSB 11g proxy service test console fail with Broken pipe
Hi everyone.
I have a strange problem with OSB test console (and sometime with java client). The proxy I built cannot response after several request. In other word, I tried to test console for dozens time, sometime I cannot have response from OSB. I wait for the response for 5 minutes and get some strange exception, that is broken pipe, but error code is not unique.
I cannot understand why my proxy service stuck in that exception. Can you help me to solve it ?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
P/S: that is log record on server:
<BEA-423405> <An exception [Broken pipe] was thrown while rendering the content at [/jsp/test/ServiceResult.jsp].

This is my proxy service that was tested above. Can you show me some instructions for tuning it? On these day, I get many bad performance responses from that service.

Fix hostname in failing MXUnit proxy service tests. The hostname flexteam.macromedia.com no longer resolves. Changed the tests to just use flexteam as the hostname. We probably shouldn't have tests that rely on flexteam but we can worry about that later.

Urgent ! Creating https proxy service in OSB
Hi All,
I am trying to create a proxy service with https(1 way) in OSB.I followed these steps,or rather tried.I am trying to use the default SSL keystores(Demo Identity and Demo Trust)
I made sure that the demonstration Identity and Trust keystores are located in the WL_HOME\server\lib directory and configured by default and the cacerts file in the JAVA_HOME\jre\lib\security directory.
But when I tried to create a service key provider in OSB I get this error "<There is no PKI credential mapper provider configured in your security realm. Service key provider management will be disabled. Configure a PKI credential mapper provider if you need service provider support. This is typically the case if you have Oracle Service Bus proxy services with web service security enabled or outbound 2-way SSL connections.>"
And when i try to create a PKI Credential mapper then I encounter this "This page is used to create a PKI credential mapping.
A PKI provider must be created and configured before a PKI credential mapping can be created."
Is there anything that I am missing?
Please advice ASAP.
Thanks
SridharI have done this in my development server and it works fineOnly one service can listen on one port and hence you should assign unique ports to each server in Weblogic domain (including Admin server). Two weblogic servers cann't listen on one port. Make sure that ports assigned to the servers are not already in use by any other application/service including any other Weblogic server.
Please let me know for 2 way SSL,and to add the Service Key Providerhttp://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/e13707/ssl.htm#i1200848

Routed Service - No Service has been invoked, the request in echoed. Can anyone help me about this?
Do you have a route node in your message flow? If yes, then from route node are you routing it to any business service/another proxy service?
Routed Service - No Service has been invoked, the request in echoedAbove line says that you have not routed the incoming request to any service in message flow.

Basic Authentication for load testing WSDL Web Service
I'm trying to load test a web service; the WSDL URL is behind a username and password, using the basic http authentication. I can add the WSDL URL without issue with the username and password, but when I playback the script, I get "401 Unauthorized" errors
I looked at Preferences > Record > Web Services > Proxy Configuration, which then refers you to Preferences > Record > HTTP > Proxy Settings. I also looked at similar settings under Preferences > Playback.
I am running OpenScript (9.1), how do I configure this ... ?
Many thanks!
KM
Edited by: KM on Sep 14, 2011 12:12 PMHello
You can right click on the initialize section of your script then:
Add -> Other -> HTTP -> Authentication.
You need 3 parameters:
A url - http://someurl - that will authenticate any url that contains the http://someurl string e.g http://someurl.com/index.html
A password
A user
The following code should be added in your script:
http.addAuthentication("http://someurl", "username",
deobfuscate("5blNah5kX/XuZnepYwInFw=="));Hope this helps

How to call a text FTP proxy service from a Java client ?
Greetings,
I've configured a text FTP proxy service which downloads files from a FTP server. It pols a directory on the FTP server and, as soon as a file respecting a given pattern apears it is downloaded. I tested the service in the test console and by putting some test files onto the FTP server. Now, I need to be able to test it from a Java client. How may I do that ? I need to write a Java client to connect to the OSB and to tell to it to use the FTP proxy in order to download a given file, from a given location and to put it in a given location on the client machine. Many thanks in advance for any help. A sample would be great !
Kind regards,
NicolasOk, I understand. The crucial question here is "what is a caller that you refer to?"
Don't get me wrong, but the problem here is that you probably don't understand, what OSB is good for. OSB is an event-driven system. The event in your case is a new message in remote FTP server. You have to define what should happen when that event is fired. And that's all. You don't have to involve other client (or caller) for this case.
You should define your FTP proxy to retrieve all relevant files from FTP server and then you should route them based on their name/content/encoding/whatever to different consumers. You can also have many proxies if you want - one for each name. It's up to you. But you don't have any "callers" in either case. -

I have admin server and no other managed servers. I have configured the Dbadapter and redeployed the adapter. I have tested the connection using a sample BPEL and it's working fine. Any suggestions......
ThanksHi Vladodias,
Thanks for the reply. My dbadapter is active and is deployed to admin server i have checked it twice . I have no managed servers as all of them were in development mode . I have targeted the db adapter to the admin server.
Here are the versions i am using
Jdev 11.1.7
WLS 10.6
SOA Suite 11.1.6
OSB 11.1.7
