URGENT, URGENT - Table not displaying correctly

hi guys
I am using a Jtable as a leaf node to a jtree. The table is editable, and displays the cells, but doesnt dislay the header or the left side border of the table.
here is my code:
Can somebody tell me why ? .. this is urgent. thanks
public class SimpleTree extends JFrame {
public static void main(String[] args) {
          new SimpleTree();
public SimpleTree() {
super("Creating a Simple JTree");
WindowUtilities.setNativeLookAndFeel();
addWindowListener(new ExitListener());
     Container content = getContentPane();
     Container content2 = getContentPane();
     JComboBox comboBox;
     comboBox = new JComboBox();
comboBox.addItem("true");
comboBox.addItem("false");
JTable     table;
     String columnNames[] = { "OrderID", "CustomerID", "EmployeeID", "Order Date", "Shipped Date" };
     String dataValues[][] =
          { "34", "34" , "67","12/02/2002", "16/04/2002" },
          { "-123", "43", "853","12/02/2002", "16/04/2002" },
          { "93", "89.2", "109","12/02/2002", "16/04/2002" },
          { "279", "9033", "3092","12/02/2002", "16/04/2002" }
     table = new JTable( dataValues, columnNames );
     table.setEnabled(true);
     table.isCellEditable(4,4);
     table.setShowHorizontalLines(true);
     table.setShowVerticalLines(true);
     table.getTableHeader().setForeground(Color.black);
     table.getTableHeader().setBackground(Color.lightGray);
     table.getTableHeader().setReorderingAllowed(true);
     table.getTableHeader().resizeAndRepaint();
     JTableHeader header = table.getTableHeader();
header.setUpdateTableInRealTime(true);
header.setReorderingAllowed(true);
     JScrollPane jScrollPane = new JScrollPane(table);
     Object[] hierarchy =
{ "Orders",
                    table,
new Object[] { "Orders",
new Object[] { "Prodcuts",
new Object[] { "",
table },
"Employees",
"Suppliers" };
     DefaultMutableTreeNode root = processHierarchy(hierarchy);
     JTree tree = new JTree(root);
     tree.putClientProperty("JTree.lineStyle", "Angled");
     tree.setCellRenderer(new MyTreeCellRenderer(table));
     tree.setCellEditor(new SimpleTreeCellEditor(table));
     tree.repaint();
     table.repaint();
     tree.setRowHeight(-2);
     tree.setEditable(true);
     content.add(new JScrollPane(tree), BorderLayout.CENTER);
     setSize(275, 300);
setVisible(true);
/** Small routine that will make node out of the first entry
* in the array, then make nodes out of subsequent entries
* and make them child nodes of the first one. The process is
* repeated recursively for entries that are arrays.
private DefaultMutableTreeNode processHierarchy(Object[] hierarchy) {
DefaultMutableTreeNode node =
new DefaultMutableTreeNode(hierarchy[0]);
     DefaultMutableTreeNode child;
for(int i=1; i<hierarchy.length; i++) {
Object nodeSpecifier = hierarchy;
if (nodeSpecifier instanceof Object[]) // Ie node with children
child = processHierarchy((Object[])nodeSpecifier);
     else
child = new DefaultMutableTreeNode(nodeSpecifier); // Ie Leaf
node.add(child);
     return(node);

I don't know for sure, but I imagine that your CellEditor and CellRenderer return the table when they should probably return the JScrollPane that contains the table. I suppose I should be more worried seeing as the fate of the world depends on this very problem. You know the president called me just the other day asking the same thing. I realize that we might run out of clean air or water if this is not solved, but I got some other things to do right now...

    Try this without the border images and it will work in all browsers with increased text size. That's assuming eBay supports embedded CSS styles (which I'm not convinced they do).  Inline styles are safer IMHO.

  • Table not displaying correctly

    Hi there,
    I have set up a table on a page in my site for links to a photo gallery.  However, when I go to preview it in the browser, the space between all the cells spreads out more than I want it to.
    Below I have attached the code for the table.  Am I missing something or have something entered incorrectly.

  • Images inside pop-ups in CHM not displaying correctly

    I am generating a CHM using RoboHelp 10 on a Windows XP machine.
    I have a few pop-ups in some topics. These pop-ups contain screen shots. After generating the CHM, when I click the pop-ups to view the screen shots, they are not displayed correctly. That is, half of the image does not appear and there are no horizontal scroll bars either to scroll. This happens for pop-ups that appear on the left side of a topic. The images inside pop-ups that appear to the right side of a topic appear fine when clicked.
    The help file was originally created using RH 7. I upgraded the source files to RH 10 successfully and there were no errors during the upgradation.
    I even tried generating the CHM on other systems with RH10 and the same system configuration as mine but ended up with the same results. I assume there is some compatibility issue maybe between RH 7 and RH10.
    Looking forward to any helpful insights here as this is pretty urgent at the moment for me to resolve the aforementioned issue at the earliest.

    Hi Rick,
    Thank you for the response. Alas, updating the DHTML effects doesn't help. In the project that am working, I have used hyperlinks that are marked to be displayed as auto-sizing pop-ups.
    I also tried editing the eHlpDhtm.js file as mentioned in the thread here, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1297423#expires_in=86399993&token_type=bearer&access_token =eyJhbGciOiJSUzI1NiIsIng1dSI6I…. But that was of no avail either.
    Do you have any other insights here?
    Regards,
    Anamika
    P.S. Am using RH 10.0.1.292.

  • Home page not displaying correctly

    My Home page is not displaying correctly - it is not updating from Muse. I have tried deleting all the files from the server and starting with a clean upload of each file and the homepage that is displaying is still an older version. Please advise if you can and thank you.

    If I put a static graphic in the Flash file area, it looks fine.

  • Symbol font is not displaying correctly on mozilla 23.0.1?

    I am displaying a html page inside a frame having some Maths symbols, using SYMBOL font. but these symbols are not display correct on mozilla browser. provide some solution.

    Hi sangeeta, the problem with writing code to solve this problem is that you likely need to create a table or a pair of arrays to contain the corresponding characters. As long as you are going to do that, it might be easier to edit the pages. Or add an external script to those pages to "fix" the references.
    If you are saying that the HTML pages are out of your control, that's harder...
    Is it an option to load the page dynamically onto your server so it can be processed by ASP.Net and then served using a URL from your server?
    If not, are your page and the framed page on the same server? In that case, perhaps a JavaScript function that "fixes" the page could be useful.
    If not, it's hard to see how you can overcome the "same origin" security constraints and get to the framed page.

  • Characters not displayed correctly

    Hi,
    After support package installation, chararcters are not displayed correctly when i use application server,
    for example when i write internal table into a file in text mode and read it after into attachment in binary mode
    but characters are not correct. And after mail sent, the half or file is sent, not all data available.
    What could be the reason?
    Char exp in debug of attachment: ㅔ䠰㘹㌲〰㤰㘰㌍ਲ䙈〶㤳㈰〹
    I get above char after i read the file, code like following:
    do.
      clear attch.
      read dataset filename into attch.
      if sy-subrc <> 0.
       append attch.
       exit.
      endif.
      append attch.
    enddo.
    Thanks.

    I think this problem is some what related to Unicode and you should use Encoding statements whith ur open dataset stetement as follows.
    open dataset ....................Encoding UTF-8.
    Encoding UTF-8 is for unicode environment.
    Hope this will help u.

  • Non-breaking hyphen not displayed correctly

    The non-breaking hyphen (\u2011, &#8209) is not displayed
    correctly - the wrong glyph is shown.
    To reproduce, do the following:
    1. Start the TLF demo editor
    http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/textlayout/demos/
    2. Import the markup below
    Results:
    - Line wrapping is correct: no line break at the hyphen
    - Times New Roman on Windows does have the glyph defined - it
    should look like an ordinary hyphen.
    This was seen in Build 3291.
    Cheers
    David
    Markup:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <flow:TextFlow whiteSpaceCollapse="preserve" xmlns:flow="

    marginRight="5"><flow:span fontSize="60">
    2011 non-breaking hyphen Macro‑media
    </flow:span></flow:p></flow:TextFlow>

    Hi Chris,
    you're right, Times New Roman does not contain the glyph. I
    was seeing 2013 whlie I type 2011 -- my mistake, sorry.
    However, it's a pity non of the OTFs implement this glyph
    (also Myriad Pro doesn't, for instance). Open Office 3 seems to
    replace it by a hypen (which is greyed), and InDesign CS4 also
    seems to replace the character and does no word-wrap at this
    position.
    Of course it would be very convenient if Flash could handle
    it the same way..
    Btw, character map is the same as my "chart table
    application", at least it's my translation from the German
    "Zeichentabelle". :-)
    So, sorry again for the confusion...

  • XML not displaying correctly when larger

    Hi,
    When my XML dataset exceeds 2350 lines, SpryDOMUtils.js seems to ad a <tab> to the XML string and it's not displayed correctly in it's container.
    I included 2 screenshots to show what's happening. Tnx a lot!!

    Sorry for the delay, I have spent some time trying to find the culprit. Finally I decided to start afresh with the following markup, which works quite well in all browsers.
    <!doctype html>
    <htm>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    <link href="SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">

                <td  valign="top">{datum}</td>
                <td valign="top"><a href="{link}">{inhoud}</a></td>
              </tr>
            </table>
          </div>
        </div>
      </div>
      <div class="AccordionPanel">
        <div class="AccordionPanelTab">Label 2</div>
        <div class="AccordionPanelContent">Content 2</div>
      </div>
    </div>
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryAccordion.js"></script>
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryData.js"></script>
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryDOMUtils.js"></script>
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryTooltip.js"></script>
    <script src="design_template_info12.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var Accordion1 = new Spry.Widget.Accordion("Accordion1");
    </script>
    </body>
    </html>
    May I suggest that you copy and paste the markup into a new document to then start adding your own stuff, making sure that you test in IE7 or IE8 at each step.
    Note that I have left xpath.js out of the markup. I think it will work either way. Just keep an eye on it.
    PS
    I did reformat the XML to delete all of the empty lines. Not sure if this helped or not. You can do this within DW as follows

    Hello!
    I live in germany, but my locale is set to "en_US.UTF8" because I like to have everything in english.
    I do not have any problems with umlauts on the machine, but when I connect with sFTP oder Samba to it, the umlauts in files are not displayed correctly.
    Look at this example
    The upper word is how it looks in "ssh putty" (=locally on the machine), the bottom one is from "filezilla" (from my windows host)
    This is my locale

    When I create a file "asd_aöü" locally on the machine (with the help of ssh - putty), it looks fine, but when I connect by samba or filezilla again the umlauts are not displayed correctly.

    Doese anyone come accross this problem?
    Thanks

    Hi Rong,
    Are you using the following demonstration to build your JSP?
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/demonstrations/index.html
    (Output to Excel with Oracle9i Report)
    I tried to do the same, and inserted a database date field in the JSP using Reports. I found the following:
    While making the template inside Excel, if I make sure that the format of the date cells is "Date" - some particular date format, the date field values from Reports does not get exported correctly.
    However, if you make sure that inside the template, the format of the date cells is not date, but "General", then the date field values are correctly exported to Excel.
    Pl try it and let us know.

  • BPS_WB: Please Wait Dialog Box not Displaying correctly???

    When we switched our Planning Interfaces to using the New Planning Interface Design the Please Wiat Dialog Box does not display correctly.
    When a Request is fired and the client is waiting for the Response all that shows is a white block in the middle of the screen with no dialog screen or other information.
    It maybe associated with the following:
    function bpsOpenURLSelf(doIt, url)
          if (doIt) {
            try {
                document.body.style.cursor = "wait"; // works only in IE

            open(url,'_self');
          // note: function with doIt==false is used to check
          //       existence of the opener window
    Or it may be associated with a CSS issue?
    I am currently using IE 6.0.2900.2180.

    How can the search bar on the Apple site not display correctly in Safari? I find this odd that Apple would allow this. It displays like 2 search boxes overlapping each other. It still functions correctly but it is a little embarrassing since I am always bashing windows pro browser display.

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
    Might be a corrupted cache or cookies issue. First, go to Safari Preferences>Security>Show Cookies. Type Apple in the Spotlight panel. Highlight/remove the cookies. Then, go to the Safari Menu>Empty Cache. Try the Apple site.
    If the double search panel still appears, go to the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Caches. There, move to the trash the com.apple.safari file. Restart Safari and try the Apple site again.
